Exodus 33:14
And he said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
its days like this that i know only my maker is enough.
so tired my eyes keep closing each time i stare at something
taking a 1.5 hour nap that doesn't help at all
saying the wrong thing to a friend not doing an iota of actual work and
feeling so unproductive and lost..
its days like this that i need to remember my maker.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.
There’s something God’s been putting upon my heart- my old nature. My old nature gives me 1) A bad temper 2) An inclination to disobey my parents 3) The cause of my constant bad habits 4) A cocktail of self-pity and eventual shame.
I have something within me that causes me to want to turn away from the Bible, from God’s truths, from my loving family. There’s a burning feeling inside me at times that is difficult to resist and brings tears to my eyes. I desperately want to be loved but this thing inside me tells me I’m unloved and I’m too hurt to be cared for. When, Lord, will you deliver me? When shall I fully embrace your unfailing love?

Romans 6:22
But now that you have been set free from sin and have become servants of God, the fruit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.
Its important to know that servants of God does not mean we are robbed of freedom and the will to do anything and everything - in fact, we can do all things through His strength. But the bottom line is that when we become children of God, we are no longer ‘of our own’; whatever we do is defined by who He is, and now He ultimately determines our thoughts, our speech and our actions. And that is what I believe sanctification really is - the act of becoming more and more like Christ every day.
What is sanctification to you?

Numbers 6:24-26
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
To anyone else struggling; to anyone else who feels defeated, stressed or upset; to anyone else who feels as though God has abandoned; to anyone who has lost something or someone dear to them; to anyone who feels lost.
My father reminded me of this verse, and my Heavenly father prompted me to share it with others :))

1 John 5:11
This is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His son. Whoever has the son, has life; whoever does not have the son of God does not have eternal life.
This verse may be insulting to many. It is certainly controversial. But Jesus was very radical in His time and even today. He tells us to turn the other cheek instead of retaliating; he asks us to be cheerful and rejoice in harsh times; he tells us that to follow Him we must give up everything else we have.
Eternal life...what a beautiful blessing. It is only through our radical relationship with Jesus that we receive such a precious gift.

Psalm 118:14
The Lord is my strength and song; He has become my salvation.
I love singing, and I love songs of worship. God is my song; what does that mean?
To sing and extol of God’s praises daily is not an easy task. Sometimes it feels impossible to give thanks to God. But even if it hurts like hell, I’ll praise Him, even when it makes no sense to sing, I will only sing (His) praise... - You Make Me Brave, Bethel Music.
I will sing no other name but Jesus, - Forever Reign, Hillsong, for He only can rescue, He alone can save - You Alone, Matt Redman. When we gossip, swear, curse and lie, we take away the beauty of God for cheap lies and seeds of destruction Satan sows. Our tongue is a blessing and a curse- it is up to us to use it.
When I sing, I am reminded of his goodness, and that goodness gives me the strength to not fall again.

Matthew 6:22
The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your vision is poor, your whole body will be full of darkness.
I’m going through a very trying and difficult season. Its stressful, tense and I’m feel as though I walk through the wilderness. But even as I walk, I am not aimless - my mind is filled with His peace; my steps are guided. God is revealing more and more to me and I am full of awe.
May I stay pure, holy and blameless in His sight.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
Today, my church mentor shared, “Sometimes Bible verses are stored away at the back at our minds, and we don’t really pay attention to it. But sometimes, especially when we hit rock bottom, that verse surfaces and becomes more real and powerful than ever before. Or perhaps God brings to mind a verse that you’ve never studied before, but is completely relevant in that moment.”

Job 31:1
I made a covenant with my eyes....
When Job uttered these words, he was referring to lust from carnal desire. But lust is not only attributed to our sexuality. There is lust of clothes, success and the newest mobile device. There is food porn and emotion porn. Anything we look to instead of God can become an idol.
A covenant is sacred, and Holy. It consecrates us to God. It tells the world which side we stand on.

1 Thessalonians 5:23-26
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. Brothers and sisters, pray for us. Greet all God’s people with a holy kiss.
A blessing to all my brother and sisters in Christ out there :) the road is narrow, but the burden is light. Our troubles are nothing compared to the honour bestowed to us by God and our privileged position. The vineyard is plentiful but the labourers are few. Go out there and be the change you want to see in life - today!

Isaiah 40:28
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of Heaven and earth.
I love the song Everlasting God, and the verse it models the song on is just as inspirational and touching. God remains even when the day is gone and the things of earth have passed. When my successes and failures crumble to dust, only He is left.

Romans 8:39
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God’s love is immeasurable. It is timeless. It stretches past distance and time, overlooking our faults and our mistakes, to grip onto us like a second skin. He won’t ever let us go. The most powerful thing we own as children of God is a living and breathing relationship with Jesus - and no one can take that away from us, except ourselves.

Romans 8:31
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
God is alongside by us, all the time. He may be unseen, He may not be felt, but he is always there. He is living the moment with you. He is taking that leap of faith with you. He is reliving the joy and the pain with you. He walks alongside as you take babysteps, sometimes gripping you tight, sometimes letting you fall so you pick yourself up and learn.
We think problems are too big- but God is always bigger.

Exodus 14:14
The Lord will fight for you, you need only to be is still.
This completely speaks to me in my present situation. I’ve been struggling, chest deep in sin and personal doubts and fears, and God’s word is like a balm to the soul. I need only to be is still. How often do I go through the everyday motions of life without being quiet and still before Christ? Be still, and know I am God, indeed..

Song of Solomon 2:16
My beloved is mine, and I am His.
We are God’s from the day we choose Him over our weaknesses, over our temptations, over our transgressions. Like a lover to His beloved, we delight in God and God delights in us. Our relationship with God is sovereign and should be valued and treasured over all else. What is keeping us from God today? Maybe I’m skipping church to go out with my friends. Or I put aside devotionals to play video games. Or I read Manga instead of the Bible. I’ve committed all these crimes before; but God is a loving father. Run back to Him in sincere repentance, and you are His again.

Leviticus 19:18
Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself.
The nicest part was I assumed this verse was from Jesus in the gospels! But no, they were from the Old Testament. Many know Jesus as he lived a life of controversy, spreading the gospel, healung others, and eventually paying the price of death for us. But I didn’t know that before Christ was a missionary, He started as a carpenter working with His father. God’s son worked, ate and slept like an ordinary man, BUT he studied the Scriptures. Sounds familiar? Our Bible study and devotionals (if they had devotionals back then) were what Jesus did as well. Jesus quoted this to an influential man, reminding Him to love others without reservation. God can love a sinner like you and me. I’m trying to do the same this week.

John 12:3
Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus' feet and wiped his feet with her hair.
Giving it all up for God is as messy as the scene above. Picture Mary liberally pouring all the oil on Jesus feet, the puddle spreading on the floor - she spares no expense. The disciples looking down on her with disdain, commenting on seemingly frivolous spending. But Jesus praises her because she understands. She knows that her time with Jesus is short. Jesus’ disciples struggled to conceive of a kingdom that would begin not with the death of their enemies, but with the death of their friend. But the women of the Bible knew. They stayed with Jesus till the end, seeing him through from his death to his resurrection. From the most expensive to the most valuable, they willingly gave it all for God
We break the bread and drink the wine, but rarely pour out the oil.
