currently on varka's expedition, calliope sommers' bag is filled with some hopefully helpful items and things that bring her comfort while she's away from her close friends.

i'm terribly picky when it comes to buying my own personal items, so i lot of these items were gifted to me. my mom bought the backpack on one of her trips back to fontaine and said it reminded her of me so she just had to buy it. it's lasted me forever — not only has it held up well during the expedition so far, but i also used it during my akademiya days.

of course i need a bedroll and a waterskin. as we continue to travel north it only gets colder and the bedroll i packed is admittedly a little thin so hopefully i can adjust! i got the waterskin at the market in mondstadt when i was like thirteen? maybe fourteen? it's lasted me forever and i love it, it fits more water then it looks.

my dagger and keychain were both gifts that i received before i left. the keychain was given to me by klee, i suspect jean or albedo put her up to making it in an attempt to help her cope with me being gone for so long (as well with helping her make it because it's way too put together for it to just be made by the girl herself), but i still love it dearly. the dagger was a gift from jean! i've never owned or really used a dagger before, but kaeya had been bickering with me for only having one weapon before a meeting on mondstadt's affairs. she must've silently agreed with him? i digress it's so pretty and i've been learning tricks with it through some of the knights.

so in the left pocket of my bag there's mostly just personal items, the compass and watch–locket were given to me by my mom. she knows that i hate not knowing the time so the watch was given to me prior to the expedition. the compass i specifically got for the expedition though simply because it's difficult to tell which way you're going during storms. i brought lip balm because my lips get so chapped when it's cold and that's something i want to avoid. and then lisa gave me the mini tea set! i'm not the biggest tea person but i'm pretty sure she put something witchy in them so i won't complain!

in the right i just put in some medical stuff. i'm no medical expert and they're definitely medical supplies packed away on horse back but i thought it would be reassuring to have stuff on me just in case. i brought some lavender because i'm so headache prone it's not even funny. i have a shell! it's kind of like a good luck charm. i also have some loose hair ties in this pocket.

inside my bag i of course have basic hygienic things like shampoo and body wash — there are a couple traveling traders that wander teyvat so i'm not too concerned with running out of anything. i also have a hair brush and a small container of perfume.

i of course need a notebook to track anything important that is relevant to our expedition — and a quill and ink to do so with. i might have to buy another notebook though because i forgot how much i write down (i think everything is important).

last put not least i have a pouch with mora in it. i didn't bring too much because there isn't too much that we need to buy as we're doing a lot of hunter/gathering on this expedition. i did however bring some blueberries to snack on! i also wanted to have a jar to collect other fruits or nuts for when i was finished.

and that's my bag in my genshin dr!!

selene sommers found it quite easy to join the revolution and train herself with a blade, but her impatience for victory had strained her. it took careful deliberation to ensure the aristocracy would fall and be gone for good. she found solace in her new found friends, but it was inevitable that argument's would arise. the lionfang knight never faulted her, and considered her words no matter their venom.

as battles broke out and storms struck, she fought side by side with vennessa, ragnvindr had claimed that it looked as though they were dancing when locked in battle together. the summer knight could taste triumph on her tongue, but became reckless. her husband had known of her doings and had decided enough was enough.

he met up with her on starsnatch cliff, under the guise of rebuilding their relationship for the sake of their son and house. she hadn't believed he was capable of doing any harm to her, not after everything she had done for the country. despite claims of him pushing her off or a vicious duel, her remains were never found, and she hadn't brought her sword with her. it was as if she had disappeared from the wind.

her husband swore to anyone he happened across that the woman had sprouted wings from her back and flew to the heavens. as grand master, vannessa had many expeditions in an attempt to find her, but alas, it was for naught. she had likely been taken by the waters forever. or unless you believe the children's myth, her wings guides the wind glider of desperate heroes and foolish men alike to safety.

lady selene of the sommers clan was born in a time of tension and storm. among mondstadt's aristocracy, she, alike many of the young girls of the elitist class, was oblivious to their faults and abuse of power. her golden locks and pure demeanor grabbed the attention of many suitors, but none as powerful as the son to the sommers clan, adrian sommers. she was soon married to him and according to many historical records, they made a poor match. her pure demeanor and naive perspective shifted as the young woman became the lady to the sommers clan and witnessed first hand the cruelty of the aristocracy. in a letter to a close friend she wrote,

"must i be the one to do something? i wish nothing more than to wait for another voice to begin so that i can follow. alas, the aristocracy fears power as much as they want it, so they will not change even those who crave it."

the woman was soon with child though, and her dreams of a revolution began to dim. however, after her pregnancy she witnessed the attempt to overthrow the aristocracy by the wanderer's troupe. after hearing the dawnlight's voice sing of sorrows but determination, she was inspired once more. she refused to let her child be raised as oblivious as she was, and taught him the true history of mondstadt of it's wicked deeds.

it was soon after she met ragnvindr, the dawn knight, and vennessa, the lionfang knight. she picked up her husband's sword and reclaimed it as her own. this is when the true rebellion began.
