I know Eustance's not getting phrases right is meant to be a "no one told him or corrected him" thing but also does anyone else think it vaguely reads as dyslexic? Like the whole messing up and replacing words area of it? Is this anything?

this is old news at this point but getting to see hero in patd is actually everything to me. the puppy eyes. he looks so sweet and gentle. i love him so much. i want to wrap him in a blanket and protect him from the Horrors. my boy <3

One thing I love about voice of the hero is how unwaveringly loyal he is to the decider and ONLY the decider. Almost all the other voices try to take over your body at some point to make their own choices, or outright reject your decisions at times if they don't agree with it, EXCEPT for hero, even if it's not the choice he would have made, he supports your choices as long as they're YOURS.

If you try to free the princess in the first chapter, the narrator tries to control your body and he's all like "that's not fair!" But if you choose to concede with the narrator and slay her he's like "cool, I'm with you to the end"

the PATD chapter is the chapter he's most argumentative and resistant because we aren't there making the decisions, it's opportunist making the decisions. He makes it clear he does not want to slay the princess, but if you choose to go through with killing her once your back in your body, he doesn't resist. Bro is your knight and you are his commander.
