I'm not certain Gerde was ever a kid at all 👁 mean, the picture in the house of blood, the Book of Butcher having something that looks suspiciously like her being the picture of a "psychic vampire". I think, like Hermès, Gerde is a monster with her own plans to take over the house/order and is using Nolan, Edwin, and anyone else she has under her thumb

Speaking of Nolah, I'm more worried he's not gonna make it past the issue. He's the only one not mentioned to have a mask transfer and has been having a back and forth with Gerde. Maybe Hermès kills him to feed on Edwin? Maybe Gerde kills him for knowing too much?

Emerald mask!Edwin is extremely funny but consider: whatever the fuck is going on in Azure also kills the Old Dragon. Since Edwin beat a literal dragon as well as whatever the fuck is going on in Azure, the survivors of whatever's going on decide he's the new Dragon. Also, Bait's the new black mask and since he's the only black mask he's the black head of house.

And then Cecilia and Maxine get back from London. Cecilia has put in all this effort to sweet talk the violet mask guy into backing her ascension and this scrawny nerd bastard is wearing the gold mask. Maxine has put in all thos effort to become a good black mask and not let Cecilia manipulate her and this misfit child is her boss now.

(I think Edwin will end up violet because that's what makes the most sense as opposed to being the funniest but no matter what new mask Edwin gets, I sincerely hope we get to see Cecilia and Maxine walking into complete chaos like that scene with Donald Glover in Community.)

not to mention how pissed Gerde would be??? she was pissed with Edwin being in Colin's favor but DRAGON? of the HOUSE OF SLAUGHTER? And you know he'd be so unserious about it too like "Oh welcome back, Cecilia! You've missed some relevant changes, I'd be happy to fill you in" as she just watches as this kid she brought into the house with her own hands wear the GOLDEN MASK?

I think violet fits him best too! and opens up the possibility of more stories following Edwin in the great house (which I would be delighted for obv,,) and I'd be more surprised if he DIDN'T end up with violet, emerald, or silver. Either way I'm soo looking forward to it i need to draw all of these variants so badly
