Twisty: well, I think it would be more than JUSST the anti-venom. I jusst think it would be an ingredient! The Candy Sstaff usess hypnobrai venom in it, but many other ingredientsss as well, sso it’ss different. The anti-venom would alssso probably need to be altered.

What happened before the ninjas got corrupted

Candy: wellll, I don’t remember if this has been answered before, but I’ll try my best... problem is, the ninja weren’t all corrupted at once, so it’s difficult to find a good answer! Before ANY of them got corrupted, I was working on my Candy Staff to spread the corruption! Once it was done, I invited the ninja over to my factory for a tour, and managed to get Cole! The last big villains were, uhh, the Oni I think? Some craazy stuff happened. That was taken care of, but I decided to prevent any more villains from existing by making everyone happy! So yeah, that’s as much backstory as I can think of... if you want to know more of what happened between each corruption, feel free to ask!

Candy: ...wait, if Kai is out there, I think he counts as a villain- we need to get him back...

Twisty: there’sss no known cure... if I had to make one, I’d try Hypnobrai anti-venom-

Candy: TWISTY! Don’t give anyone ideas! There are people out there who don’t think the corruption is good, we can’t let them find a way to stop it!

Hey! Not an important announcement, just a bit of lore to help y’all! Cuz I’m bored and nothing’s happening on this blog lmao.

Everyone seems a little confused about how the corruption affects their personalities. I’ll try to explain the best I can. The corruption tries to offer you happiness in whatever way it can until you accept it. It may tell you it can make you happy all the time, or make sure you never worry about what people say about you again, anything, until it finally finds an offer you want. Whatever the offer was, your personality tends to get hyperfocused on it, depending on how difficult of a promise it is to fulfill. For example, Cole is known for being the least obsessed, and that’s because the offer he accepted was basically just free cake. Not much had to be done about his interests and desires to fulfill that. The corruption still makes him focus on being positive, as that is a default for the corruption, but other than that, not much is changed. Cole does have deeper issues, however he never fought against the corruption, so it never had to address those issues. A flaw in the corruption is that once an offer is accepted, it can’t be changed. So, those issues that the corruption isn’t fixing can still be a problem, albeit more difficult to make upset them since being happy is a preset for corruptions. But since Cole’s chosen desire was free cake, happiness is less forced onto him, so he’s more able to be upset than others.

So yeah! If you’re ever confused about the way a candied person is acting, you’ve just gotta think about why they got corrupted in the first place!
