Continuing with the Alien Stage (wow one so soon, even I am surprised)

Black Sorrow (Ivan's version) is one of the songs I like the least and I am surprised when I see people saying how good his voice sounds here because to me it sounds forced (although I don't hate it as much anymore because I got used to his voice). Now it starts pretty good with the first 2 lines or so but it loses me pretty quickly unfortunately. At least the music video it's good and being the round that introduced me to this amazing series, I've watched it many times :)

And about Mizi's version I have only good things to say SHE NAILED THIS SONG it just flows so smoothly and the emotion she puts behind every word 🥹 (also the cover art reminds me of the first round so much 😢). I really like this one and I don't get bored of listening to it <3

I have seen someone do a version with both Ivan and Mizi's voices though and it sounds so nice Ivan does a good job when it comes to vocal suport and I am really curious to see how a song with him and Luka would have sounded like

After so long we are yet again going to talk about Alien Stage songs 🎉

Unknown(Til The End) (Till's version) used to be my favorite song until round 5 dropped and even now is pretty high in my rankings. I love songs that fill me with energy and this one does an amazing job at it. You can also feel the love he has for her in a very powerful and sincere way, like he is putting you in his shoes (he fits the pained artist type pretty well).

I was surprised that he just cut off his opponent, he didn't even give him a chance it was amazing and such a smart move! (although ruthlessness is to be expected in such a competition I was caught off guard thinking the other rounds will also lean more into sentimentalism). The growl was so full of desperation and I loved it. Same with the way Till destroyed his guitar more as a way to get his point across that he is the winner and it's useless to try, than anything else (not to mention the perfect timing of Till saying "Don't be afraid" and the other dude "screams" right after)

Mizi and Till's version it's absolutely amazing and I like how Mizi's voice goes well with this type of song (in general I think she works with pretty much every genre). This version gives me more of a fun type of vibe with low stakes compared to the other one, you can hear it in their voices that they are just enjoying themselves (I was a bit worried when I first saw she was in the collab because I thought her voice wouldn't be strong enough but I was pleasantly surprised). The only thing I don't like about this is the fact that the growl is missing, it was my favorite part of the previous version after all but it wouldn't go well with the emotions they where trying to convey here so it's understandable.

Their voices work so well together though! I hope we can here more songs from them like this one <3 Amazing collab I really like it :D

One last thing I have to say and it's not really about the songs themselves but the comments I saw on the last version. They really disappointed me to say the least because instead of focusing on the music people were either fighting with eachother about ships or leaving hate about the cover art and in general Till and Mizi working together for this. It doesn't matter if you ship them or not (I personally don't), it's not that deep just enjoy the song for once! The hate was ridiculous and undeserved and it's sad to see such an amazing thing be waisted/just fly over people's heads...

Sorry for seeing this so late, just wanted to say I like the clip the story seems interesting and I really like the animation and the same about the song :)

I think it would be sad but also interesting if the ones that lose in the competition just remain stuck kinda like ghosts in a purgatory

We can take as an example of what I'm thinking Sua because her stage would be the most unsettling one in my opinion.

There will be no crowd, no other contestant besides her, the place where the score is usually seen now is stuck at 86, her face the only thing she can see, the stage would be filled with warm lights and bubbles, a soft instrumental playing in the background on loop (the instrumental would start to sound more broken the closer she gets to taking "her final bow" and after the end she will come back to her feet alongside the music as if nothing happened) and she could just get off the stage if she wanted to and wander around, she could stop singing if she wanted to and she is well aware of this but she is afraid, it feels off. Is she really alone? Does she truly want to find out? What would happen if she stops replaying her last moments? What would happen once she gets the answers she has been looking for? If she leaves where could she go?

I hope it made sense I have been thinking about this for a while and I feel even worse for those that lost

My version is more bittersweet unfortunately. I see him replaying everything a few times but he would stop gradually and just reflect on everything that happened and everything he felt up to that point (or maybe he would even refuse to get up and just allow his brain and heart to shut down for a bit, everything becoming to much for him). He seemed to put a calm facade in the 6th round but he looked to be very broken inside, full of regrets (to me at least) so I think he would be like a deflated balloon and think the place he is in is a punishment of some sorts but he would eventually leave why though, I'm unsure. Maybe he thinks there will be a next life where he will get a second chance or maybe he is curious to see if he actually didn't leave any sort of impact like he initially believed

I'm imagining a world where there are no aliens and all of them are living normal lives and Ivan would come to stay at Mizi's house overnight and they would listen to music and talk about everything and anything while she painted his nails and he would surely be the one to convince her to start talking with her crush Sua

I think for them would be enough to just be in each other's presence and would vibe even if they are doing different things and not really talking (childhood friends)

And of course they would be invited to each other's weddings and Ivan and Till would be the cool uncles to the kids Sua and Mizi would adopt

I'm getting happier every time I see this because he could be bitter and mean towards her but he's not and just in general they are cute (also the fact that I immediately thought he was imitating the way Till plays the guitar makes things even cuter for me)

We are back at it with the Alien Stage songs yey

My Clematis (Mizi and Sua) is such a beautiful song. Their voices work so well (and at times I wouldn't know which one was singing especially the first few times I listed to it. Regardless, I think this little thing adds to the charm) I was also caught off guard by the ending (I think I had seen only one other thing from Vivinos previously but I still didn't knew how things will play out, also this was the first clip from this series I had seen so I had some hope that everything will be alright since I'm a sucker for happy endings :) ). Unfortunately, it's kinda slow for my taste and there is also that part with the monologue so I rarely listen to it but it's still such a good song

Now the cover by Ivan and Till. To be honest, I wasn't a fan because their voices don't flow as smoothly as the girls and I felt it kinda lacked that emotion they had managed to show. I was bothered by the tremble in Ivan's voice (although I am the same ✨the irony✨) and I felt like Till was kinda flat but not bad. I have gotten used to it though so I don't think it's that bad anymore. One thing has remained consistent though, I love the dialogue part from their version. Ivan's voice just works so well with the text and Till's reactions are so fun and feel genuine

I have also heard a version made by someone on YouTube where all 4 sang together and it just worked so well, that's the version I have listened to the most <3

I don't know much about Lee Hakhyun but the song "Voice" by Kira ft Hatsune Miku and Gumi just reminds me of him (although I do hope one day I will be able to read his story too)

i was talking about this with @rusquared a lil while ago and then a reading the 999th arc brought it up again. yoo joonghyuk and kim namwoon were companions in thousands of rounds. yoo joonghyuk continued to choose to make kim namwoon his companion even though he killed that grandma and was a total cringe ass edgelord and probably did a lot of other shit because he cared about that kid and he loved him on some level. his relationship with kim namwoon was probably very similar to his relationship with lee jihye

which is why it makes me sooooooo crazy that we don't get to see his feelings about kim namwoon being dead in this round at all. and in the beginning i think thats because hes still viewing his rounds as disposable and he can just get kim namwoon back next time, but then he decides to stay in this round!! the round in which kim namwoon is dead and never coming back and doesnt even know yoo joonghyuks name!!! and we dont get to see him being conflicted about it at all. he gives up on seeing the end with kim namwoon.....

did he ever look at lee jihye and expect to see her arguing with kim namwoon? did he ever look at shin yoosoung and expect to see kim namwoon trying to teach her how to be evil? lee jihye, lee hyunsung and kim namwoon - how many rounds were they family? we don't even get to see him think about how they arent in this one once?

This makes me think of an AU where they are kids and growing up as neighbors. In this AU Luka is still the oldest and so the adults trust him to take care of Ivan and Till since they're not much at home because of work. He ends up being taken care of by the boys lol (he has such a baby face it's adorable)

The only times I would see him acting like an older brother to them is when they would get in trouble and they would avoid getting punished by a hair's length or the punishment would be a slap on the wrist compared to the gravity of what they had done or when the bullies would start being nice out of nowhere or disappear mysteriously (He would probably scare them and sometimes the bullies would decide it's better to move schools)

And then Luka would act surprised about it all. Of course the boys had figured out the truth pretty early on but they won't say a thing about it. Instead, they would have their own little ways to show their appreciation to him.

I would see them being friends even in adulthood :)

I personally see Till as being the one to take care of what they eat and coming up with ideas for what to do to pass the time. He can be pretty awkward at times but he is a very good listener and he is good at providing comfort (he is kinda like their safe space)

I see Ivan as being the one that takes care of everyone's well being (physically). He would also help them with their studies in the sense that he makes it fun and interesting and easy to understand when is the case although it's not that often because Luka and Till aren't stupid, they're just not interested in most of the subjects so they don't bother. He is also the one to speak for all when in public (for example when they need to order something or if a stranger is asking them for directions)

The song "The Underworld" from Epic:The Musical reminds me so much of Yoo Joonghyuk :'(

I think the part that Polites sings (hope I got the name right) works really well with Lee Hyunsung ( but Lee Seolhwa could work too) but clearly the part where Odysseus's mom appears works best if you think about Yoo Mia. He always tried to keep her as far away from the scenerios as possible but he didn't always manage to keep her safe

Also, I think that if you ignore what Odysseus did to that little boy and just listen to this song in terms of ORV then the "I keep thinking of the infant from that night" could work for his child with Lee Seolhwa (my brain also decided to choose this moment to remind me about that boy in the same train part as him that always died so that's... something)

I had just remembered some fun memories so ig now it's time for some fun facts about me yey 👐 (this is so long but it made me happy 🤷‍♀️)

1. Every sports professor had been hit in the head with a ball at least once by me. The only exception is my college one because he just calls us on the exam day so I have never touched a ball with him (I also want to point out the fact that everytime I hit them wasn't planed, just an accident)

Now, I had a professor that no matter how much both of us tried I would always hit her the moment I had a ball in my hands and it got to the point where she banned me from playing with them but she was to much of a sweetheart to do it for long so until she moved I kept on hitting her (and I felt sorry for her but I also loved playing). Years later we just happened to bump into eachother but I had forgotten how she looked like by then and I recognized her for the simple fact that the moment she saw me, she tried to protect her head with her hands(she had met her mortal enemy again, now I can't help but remember the Jojo meme with those two people approaching eachother)

But seriously, I was fortunate that she wasn't mad at me and actually thought it was a bit funny so we had a good laugh when we met again <3 :)

2. The head of my middle school in my last year there started a man hunt. For context, we have an exam at the end of middle school to see in what high school we will get in and the adults at that time really cared about reputation in general (and some did just want the best for us so, not all bad) and one of the subjects was math. Now I am very bad at it and we had at a simulation a very simple exercise that was meant to give a point for even the most stupid, we had to draw the geometric figure they mentioned in the exercise, that's it and I just so happened to be the only one that got that wrong lmao so the head of the school was pissed to say the least and because he wasn't allowed to open the sealed exam paper, he went in every class, talked to every professor and said everything he could think of to try and find the idiot but nobody snitched up so he was forced to give up. I had a field day watching that man loose his cool though and I did tell a few professors of mine the truth so they also had fun with the whole situation (also at the real math exam I had one of those professors that knew as my supervisor so it was a bit funny when he saw I was the first one to finish and his face filled with horror)

3. There was an ad with a dude that did a poor electrical job and got electrocuted cartoon style. He was called Dorel (it's kinda like a meme name in my country) and I really liked that ad as a child so when my uncle will say "Dorel do *cartoon scene from the ad*" I would do it and it got to a point where I got so used to him calling me Dorel that I wouldn't respond to him (and only him because there were other members that liked the joke but didn't do it as often) unless he would use that name and he kinda panicked but everyone had a good laugh (I was very little like 2-3? so I don't remember but my mom told me the story and I just adore it)

3. Now some Romanian language lessons yey you didn't think you will learn something new today did you? Well, in my language we use a group of sounds to form certain words: "ce", "ci", "ge", "gi", "che", "chi", "ghe", "ghi" and my mom tried to teach me words with this sounds but her attempt failed miserably because she had made 1 crucial mistake, she said a fruit as the last word before she let me try and my little self decided to also say a fruit even if it didn't use what she wanted. I was very proud of myself for that at the time :))

4. As a child, I thought that flowers were growing from the petals and I had practically distroyed my grandma's garden, planting the petals in the ground thinking it's gonna become so pretty now that I helped and then called her to look at it. Poor women, no wonder she became as white as a ghost :))

5. In highschool I had a professor that I absolutely hated with a burning passion so whenever I thought she wasn't around, I would say things like "she's a witch" and "we should throw some water on her to melt her" and every time I would come to find out that she was just a few meters away from me (but she never said anything, and because it's not in her character to not say something when she didn't like a certain thing, I just assumed, hoped, prayed she never heard me). The funniest though was the fact that I was in some random part of my town on some business with my mom and I was badmouthing that professor again only for her to spawn out of nowhere right on the other side of the street. I swear she always appeared whenever I talked about her (even faster if I said something bad). Something similar happened with another professor that caught me swearing one day the "she's behind me isn't she" style and since then I would always without fail bump into her wherever I happened to be in school until she left (and until then I had never seen her outside of class)

This is all I remember for now, just some little shenanigans that I hold dear :)
