TL;DR HOMELESS ENCAMPMENT IN SEATTLE NEEDS FUNDING FOR SUPPLIES & DONATIONS OF GOODS

ive been helping one of my tent cities move during a tumultuous time where local politicians have been jerking us around and trying to keep us from the site that was previously agreed upon and worked on for months by people at the camp & said politicians(and local gov. agencies). it has been my job to provide any emergency expense & to be frank my pocketbooks are running dangerously low. However, the camp continues to have pressing needs that I must address. I understand it is a trying time for all peoples but if you can spare anything for a tent city of 80 people, we would all be very grateful. Anything helps! Toilet paper, toothbrushes, water, pants for men and women, diapers...the list goes on. Please share this!! and help if you able to. Thank you. transfem people getting smeared and purposely harassment campaigned is horrible and I think people should not engage with that stuff, in fact you should protect vulnerable transfems from that.

that said:

i wish y'all had the same energy when people of color, especially black folks experience the same stuff, it's kind of infuriating watching many people agree that harassment campaigns are bad but will turn their nose when it's happening to a person of color, god forbid it be a trans woman of color too.

I think it's really important to recognize that not everyone is going to be kind but that means it's more important that you are. It means that you are responsible for bringing that joy, and yes I mean you reading this post and I also mean me and I also mean everyone who is willing to listen. Kindness is so important in an age where harassment and cruelty and infighting are so normal :(
