So there’s this small nation with a majority indigenous population that was re-established on indigenous lands due to a centuries long Land Back movement. This nation was also established in part by indigenous socialists and communists, so it offers universal health care, has a strong labor rights system, and communes are a fairly common and normalized sight in rural areas. The nation also has extremely progressive views on the LGBTQ+ community. It’s consistently ranked the most Queer friendly country on the entire continent, and among the most Queer friendly countries on Earth. This nation has also become a global leader in developing renewable energy and green technologies, which it happily shares with the world at large.
Clearly, despite the fact that this nation has some massive flaws to overcome, the Western Left must be a huge fan of its extremely progressive policies and achievements. They are the sort that will jump to defend the Soviet Union or North Korea, after all. Wait, hold on a second, I’m just getting word that… genocidal colonist pinkwashing greenwashing Zio bastards? Hmm. That’s not quite what I expected.
Seems like when Leftists want to stan a communist-branded authoritarian dictatorship, they will find an excuse for any and all transgressions against humanity. But when the Left wants to vilify a flawed democracy, they will find a way to condemn every positive result— even the ones they claim to support no matter what.

I think it’s really important that we don’t let the queer community shove all the antisemitism that they put queer Jews through under the rug. I’ve seen them deny the Holocaust, our history, facts, and so much more. I can guarantee you that they will try to deny what they did to us. They should have to live with the hate and discrimination they put us through and be forced to face the consequences of their actions, so that hopefully future generations of queer people will learn to do better. I'm sure whatever shame or hate they face will still be a fraction of what we had to endure, but if they don’t face any consequences, it will set a precedent of antisemitism being acceptable in the queer community for decades or even generations to come. I’m taking screenshots of the antisemitic things they say and news articles about antisemitic incidents and hate crimes that occur at their hands. I encourage others to do the same. It will be much harder for them to deny this in the future if we have receipts. Future generations of queer Jews deserve better than to suffer abuse and hate from queer goyim.

The thing with antisemitism is that for the majority of those who engage in it, it's rarely with the explicit intention to harm jews. Instead it's viewing jews as an acceptable casualty to release whatever frustration or anger you have with society or the world.
And that's what makes it so dangerous.
That's why antisemitism is the chameleon of bigotry. The jew is both the capitalist and the communist. Both the all-powerful shadow government and sub human.
It's also why it's so hard to combat.
Because it's common to excuse antisemitic actions under the guise of "no I'm targeting this other group" whilst mainly targeting the jewish members of said group and quietly moving the goalpost to include more and more jews into said group.
When you view jews as an acceptable casualty in your fight against whatever issue, you are deeming antisemitism as an acceptable bigotry. That it's okay that jews suffer as long as whatever issue gets resolved.
And not only does it harm jews, it also doesn't benefit your movement. Jews don't hold the majority of the world's wealth. Jews don't hold the majority of the world's power.
Targeting jews allows those who do hold the wealth and the power, to quietly throw jews under the bus, to engage in centuries old rhetoric to assure their survival and to keep exploiting people.
And this isn't to say that people aren't intentionally antisemitic. Many people are. Many people know they're antisemitic and will either own it or purposefully paint a mask to hide it.

is it true that israel made offers to palestine for a palestinian state and palestinians turned it down? why?
Yes, that's true, the Palestinians were offered a state many times. Here are just some of them.
1937 - Peel Commission Proposal
Context: British plan during the Mandate period.
Offer: First-ever partition proposal. Would have created a small Jewish state (17%) and a larger Arab state, with population transfers.
Palestinian Response: Rejected. Palestinian Arab leadership (under Haj Amin al-Husseini) opposed partition outright.
Jewish Response: Zionist leaders accepted it in principle as a basis for negotiation.
1947 - UN Partition Plan (Resolution 181)
Context: End of British rule. Plan to divide Palestine into Arab and Jewish states.
Offer: Roughly 55% of land for a Jewish state, 45% for an Arab state. Jerusalem internationalized.
Jewish Response: Accepted
Palestinian/Arab Response: Rejected. Palestinian Arab leaders and surrounding Arab states launched a war on Israel.
2000 - Camp David Summit
Offer: 91%-95% of the West Bank, all of Gaza, shared Jerusalem, land swaps, limited refugee return.
Palestinian Response: Yasser Arafat rejected the offer and made no formal counteroffer. The Second Intifada (145 suicide bombings) began shortly thereafter.
2001 - Taba Talks
Offer: Even more generous terms than Camp David with up to 97% of the West Bank, land swaps, limited refugee return, shared Jerusalem.
Palestinian Response: Talks were constructive but ended without an agreement. Arafat never signed or formally accepted.
2008 - Olmert-Abbas Proposal
Offer: ~94-96% of the West Bank, 1:1 land swaps, shared Jerusalem (international administration for holy sites), resettlement of ~5,000 refugees.
Palestinian Response: Mahmoud Abbas did not accept or sign, citing lack of written documents and refugee concerns. Abbas doesn't say yes. Doesn't say no. Just... leaves.
2014 - Kerry Framework (U.S.-backed proposal during Netanyahu-Abbas talks)
Offer: U.S. framework to resume final-status negotiations; based on two states, with security and recognition clauses.
Palestinian Response: Abbas walked away from the talks after a unity agreement with Hamas. No agreement was reached.
Why did Palestinian leaders turn each of these down?
Because every single offer, from 1937 to 2008, had one condition they couldn't accept: that Israel would still exist.
They could have had borders. They could have had a capital in East Jerusalem. They could have joined the UN, flown their flag, signed their treaties, and printed their passports.
But the price was always the same. They had to say yes to a future where Israel didn't go away.
The offers weren't rejected because of settlements, checkpoints, or disagreements over how maps were drawn.
The thing they wouldn't accept was Israel's continued existence.

Giving a big hug (if you want) and all the love to the Jews who have lost friends due to antisemitism, especially in the last few years. To the Jews who considered themselves leftist and then were betrayed by their own community. To the Jews who don't feel safe going to a pride parade anymore, who have been pushed out of every queer community. To the Jews who are afraid to go to synagogue, or wear a magen David, or speak Hebrew or Yiddish or Ladino. To the Jews who have lost all trust in goyim, because even the ones reblogging posts about standing together and building communities can and will turn around any minute to spew the most vile antisemitic shit. To the Jews who had to watch over and over again how someone they liked, someone whose work their enjoyed, turned out to be antisemitic and got radicalised further and further, unwilling to listen to them. To the Jews who loved participating in fandom, until the antisemitism in fandom became so rampant and no one but them spoke out against it. To the Jews who lost their support system because of antisemitism. To the Jews who were not even allowed to mourn the dead hostages or call for the release of the ones still held hostage without being bombarded with hatred. To the Jews who had to quit their job, or change schools or university, or quit doing their hobby because of antisemitism. To the Jews who feel like they aren't welcome anywhere. To the Jews who consider moving to Israel because they don't feel safe at home anymore. To the Israeli Jews who lived through the incredible traumatic events of October 7th and were met with hatred instead of compassion by way too many people. To the Israelis in general who have such diverse opinions and backgrouds but instead get vilified by a group of people who don't have a single idea of the actual circumstances. To the Israeli Jews who had to flee their homeland because of relentless persecution and threats, who were expelled, who then get told by Western leftists that they are "white colonisers" and should "go back to where they came from".
Just a big hug and all the love to all Jews. I know this is just a fraction of the things y'all had to deal with in the last years (and even before that), I just felt incredibly sad today because of the things that I have seen and experienced after October 7th and I know they are nothing compared to what you are going through, so instead I tried to channel my sadness into some positivity.

a) trump is using jews in his crusade against dei not because he cares about jews, but because he’s racist
and
b) if dei programs had actually included jews in the first place, trump wouldn’t have had a leg to stand on

I very rarely like to call people traitors to their own people, but I'm so close to calling Matt that.
Zionism doesn't cause antisemitism. People who hate jews do.
Firstly - Zionism is just the latest excuse. People will always try to rationalize their antisemitism. I don't have the exact quote as I'm at work and don't have the book on me, but this is discussed in "Hostages of Civilisation: The Social Sources of National Socialist Anti-semitism" by Eva G Reichmann, which talks about antisemitism in Germany leading up to the holocaust.
It talks about how Germans rationalized antisemitism and blamed the jews for causing antisemitism. It was the jews fault for being emancipated and emancipation was negatively affecting gentile Germans. (Emancipation meaning no longer being second class citizens). In the early stages after emancipation, German jewry were now seen as competition not only in Gentile German majority fields, but jewish dominated fields too. The German rationalization was that it was only normal to hate jews because of this, and they blamed jews for being employable.
Zionism is the latest cover up for hating jews. Just like the Germans once went "I don't hate all jews, just jews who are making it harder for me to find work", goyim now are going "I don't hate all jews, just zionist jews".
Zionism has gone from the jewish understanding of being an umbrella term which includes coexistence and peace, to only being seen by gentiles as genocidal. The Overton window of what is considered zionism has shifted in gentile spaces to only focus on kahanism, which is where you do actually want Palestinians dead. And if you dare call yourself a zionist by jewish understanding, gentiles will assume you mean that you're a kahanist.
The twisting of what zionism means is inherently antisemitic. Jews are no longer allowed to define our own terms and vocabulary.
Secondly and honestly most importantly, being antisemitic because of Israel and/or zionism is literally a skill issue.
You are quite frankly admitting that you are anti nuance and lack critical thinking skills.
Because it literally costs $free.99 to go "I dislike the Israeli government actions in Gaza. This is not reflective of all jews, and even of all israelis."
I do this all the time with a bunch of governments. I hate the current New Zealand government and would hate if people assumed I supported them, especially when I didn't vote for any part or candidate in the current government. Just like how the majority of israelis didn't vote Netanyahu - it's a 5 way coalition aka no singular party got enough votes and they had to agree to work together.
I hate Trump and his administration, however I don't assume all amercians are like Trump, despite the fact that a higher percent of voting Amercians voted for Trump than voting Israelis voted for Netanyahu.
I don't support the CCP yet I don't assume all Chinese folk are like the CCP.
We can't always control the things which influence our opinions, but it is our individual responsibility to hold ourselves accountable for our beliefs and to manually course correct as needed.
I don't think he will see this, but if he does, Matt, you need to realize the harm of what you're saying. You are giving a free pass to antisemites to never unpack their antisemitism. Even if we ignore the fact that zionism doesn't cause antisemitism, you need to realize that your words have an impact. You have a large audience. People will see your words and use them as a cover to harm jews. And it sucks, it really does that people will use your words to harm jews. In a better world that wouldn't be the case, but this isn't a better world, it's the current one.

It has not escaped my notice that a couple of the anons today have assumed I'm Jewish.
I'm not Jewish.
I support Jews because they're people. They have a right to exist.
I support Israel because it is a democratic nation that grants citizenship to everyone on an equal basis. It doesn't mean the government is perfect, but I know from experience that governments don't always represent people, and in fact, it's really easy to find information about how loudly and constantly Israeli citizens are putting their government's feet to the fire. Because it's a democracy. With free speech. England can't fucking say that.
Also, it's not on stolen land. Zionists bought the land from Arab land owners who had empty swathes of land they weren't using.
As for the contested land, here's a wiki article on the camp david summit and here's one on the The Clinton Parameters, both of which make it very clear the level of complication that comes when speaking of the land. it's sort of like both sides have a good reason to want what they want because of their history in the region. This is only a case of "colonizers stealing land" if you think Jews have no right to the land. Which they do. And do Muslims. And, unfortunately, the Muslims are under terrorist control and their so-called leaders don't want a state because when you have a state you have to answer to things like the Hague Agreement and the Geneva Convention.
And a little more on that: Hamas is a terrorist organization, and if you are hearing from a "Hamas spokesperson," and then repeating what they say, you are hearing from a terrorist and repeating a terrorist. The Houthis are literal Nazis. They do the fucking salute. Hezbollah, like Hamas, is a terrorist organization, and the people targeted in the beeper attack were high-ranking members who were unquestionably and provably Hezbollah, and sabotage is an allowable act under the rules of war approved by the UN.
The starvation in Gaza? That's Hamas. The terrorist organization. They want the UN to keep being in charge of food to the area because they are very skilled at stealing that shit and selling it to the people who are starving. Hamas doesn't give a shit about Palestinians. Any of them.
And Bibi's apparent plan to ship out Palestinians to other places? If you read the article in the Times of Israel, they point out it's a far-right effort. It's not a popular option supported by Israeli citizens. They are, in fact, protesting it. In a shocking turn of events, you can have a shitty leader and a country full of people who don't fucking like that asshole. But what do I know. I'm an American.
Last thing, usually I would take the time to provide linkable sources for every single thing I said here, but as I have literally spent the day being called a nazi, a zionazi, and being told to kill myself or that people will be glad when I'm shot by firing squad, I'm not gonna help you out. The people reading this who want to tell me to kill myself or claim I'm a nazi have had nearly three years since Hamas attacked Israel on a high holy day to rape and murder as many people as they could in a coordinated and planned attack that allowed them to paint Israel as the aggressor for existing, and a bunch of y'all are still sucking down propaganda like fucking water. Do some fucking research that goes past your usual news sources and Hasan Piker. Maybe actually spend some time reading the Times of Israel to get an actual Israeli perspective on things rather than pretending like Hamas is being totally honest when their charter was changed from "kill all Jews" to "kill all Zionists" and they considered that an upgrade.

Best rebranding campaign EVER
We are seeing one of the best rebranding campaigns ever. The problem is the rebranding wasn’t made by the so-called brand rather by its so-called competitors. Imagine that Pepsi had rebranded Coca-Cola as poison. The campaign had two steps to it that were implemented almost simultaneously on a global level.
Step 1. Jew has been rebranded as Zionist. Anything you used to say about Jews and was considered antisemitic you can now say about Zionists instead and it is completely acceptable. “I’m not antisemitic I’m anti Zionist” then spit out some of the most antisemitic shit you’ve heard for centuries. Most people haven’t even heard of Zionism up until 22 months ago.
Step 2. Using the fact that most people haven’t even heard of Zionism up until 22 months ago, Zionism has been rebranded as evil, colonialist, racist and genocidal. Zionism is now the root of all evil and the cause and source of everything that is wrong. From pollution to trafficking, from cyber crime to unemployment rates. Zionism has become the magic bullet. The world would be a perfect place if it weren’t for Zionism and Zionists. They are acceptable and legitimate targets for violence, harassment, intimidation and discrimination. But remember! They are Zionists not Jews so it isn’t antisemitism and is justified.
This war will be taught in advertising and marketing schools rather than military schools.

I think when you correctly identify a trauma that is the base of a woe of yours it should just disappear. It should be like "aaahh. you got me" and vanish and leave 100 dollars behind
