Time for my controversial (?) opinion i guess…

TikTok’s mischaracterisation of Kevin Spencer is WILD to me. The main things they complain about is when fan-artists draw sociohack and Kevin with long hair. Which to me are such non-issues and honestly don’t even make sense, they just want somebody to harass.

People dislike sociohack because “Kevin is homophobic” even though, as far as i’m aware, that isn’t confirmed. Yes, Percy did try to instil those beliefs in him in the early seasons and even acts in self defence when he thinks another man is coming onto him, but this is quickly dropped in the later seasons and honestly to me doesn’t seem like he’s being homophobic or anything. Besides it’s infamously hypocritical for Percy to say that when he’s openly admitted to having sex with men in prison. And Anastasia having a relationship with a woman as-well - also even when Vivica (Idk how to spell it.) was living with Kevin and Anastasia for a while Kevin didn’t seem to mind - nor did he question it despite what Percy taught him. There’s a high chance he just forgot and if he even met a gay man, i don’t think he’d care.

Secondly, the whole ‘complaining about headcanons’ thing is ridiculously stupid to me. Kevin having long hair is perfectly fine. His hair is very inconsistent when we do see it - and there’s no harm in making it a bit longer just for fun. People complaining that it looks too good even though he has poor hygiene is also dumb. It doesn’t diminish the art as a whole and if it bugs you so much then you have all the free will in the world to draw Kevin with greasy hair if that’s what you really want. It’s not your place to tell artists what they can and cannot do. This includes art styles too, if it bothers you so much, just block them because harassing them or mocking them online isn’t going to get you anywhere. If you do this, please act more mature because it’s embarrassing.

ANYWAYS, that’s all! This is becoming a relevant issue within the fandom so i thought i’d give my two cents. TLDR : be respectful and don’t embarrass yourself online!

Why does Bill sound like his mom is it a dysphoria thing I’m slow SORRY

lolol you’re okay. You can think about that way if you want, but I was more-so thinking about Bills bad relationship with his mom.

I’ve talked about it before but in my HC I believe when Bill was first born and growing up his parents were decent, and he had a decent life up until around age 5-7. His parents started arguing more, and he would drown it out by indulging in his superhero comics.

During this time, his mom would put out her anger on everything close to her, including Bill, so she frequently yelled at him for very little things that didn’t matter. She had a destructive personality and did nothing to help herself. His dad couldn’t take it anymore, and he left his wife. Bill thought his dad loved him more than anything, but he left after they the divorce and Bill hasn’t seen him since. His mom becomes an alcoholic after too, which doesn’t help his current situation.

Bill blames his mom for everything having gone wrong in his life. He resents his dad for leaving him to deal with her all alone with just his siblings too, but his mom was always the bigger presence. However, as we see through the comics Bill acts the exact same way his mom does, lashing out for the littlest reasons, just being shitty, making excuses, being a massive hypocrite. For me, this is where his self loathing stems from. He becomes aware of who he is after a certain point, and he’s too far gone to change that. He’s no different. He hates that he truly is his mother’s son.

So “you sound just like mom!” means he said something that would seem identical to something his mom would say.
