I spent a whole week on dm prep for this warlock character and I was so excited for my party to fight him it was going to be this serious battle between my level three players and the level five warlock with all these crazy spells and cantrips and I casted an agonizing eldritch blast on one of my players so excited that I was finally gonna do some damage to her since her character keeps carrying all the fights. And then she reveals she has a spell that prevents her from taking the damage as well as absorbing the power from it and with the power she absorbed she decided to punch the warlock in the dicknballs so hard she knocked his health down to 9hp. She ball blasted my npc into oblivion. She performed bottom surgery on this poor man.
