Mmmmm did a wonderful wipeout to just manage to get into Splat zones 2K range for NA. It’s not impressive since it’s NA, but it’s a goal I’ve wanted for a long time nonetheless.

Better than this morning. This morning was a mess X Battle made me cry lol. The game got under my skin so I disengaged and tried to change my approach. I tried the normal brush kit instead of Nov too since hammer is underwhelming. Tried not to go on autopilot. Think I did alright.
Being so close to 2K X Power in two modes is very elating since it’s what I’ve wanted to get for a long while as a goal. Clam Blitz is my lowest despite me playing brush lol I despise this mode solo. It’s too complex for Splatoon players.

The thick roughness of the edges, the perfect containment with lattice plastic, popping colors that gleam under the sunlight, the cover being bigger than the book to better protect it, the smell and taste of fresh off the press pages linked together so intricately there is no tear or binding to be seen, oh my cod, is that hard cover?

Been doing nothing but playing Splatoon 3 Anarchy Open to better discipline myself as of late with the game. I am really enjoying growing with the game but it takes time away from writing. I'm getting satisfied with my beginner's progress in these early weeks of S Rank when many of the people who were in X Battle were knocked down and messing me up. Just you wait I'll mess you back. 600p Currently so I've won at least 30 games. Lost a good bit too but I'll keep trying. I get tips from a friend too for my Octobrush and it's swag. I just kinda feel bad because who cares that I'm doing good or that I'm not actively pumping out beautiful work to go with it since that's just expected online. Just me. This is site is tough since I'm bombarded by the best of the best. I feel out of my league like I don't belong online since I have nothing to show for it, no worth. Oh well.
#little rant but I mean no one visits my account it's fine#I'll definitely post more soon I just#I got a lot going on#My goals are misaligned

Forgot this place existed again. Hey I have a fun headcanon that I don't think anyone has done before, and while it borders on the line of absurdity, we can revive people in Splatoon with water so I don't think it's too far fetched.
At this point it's well known in Octo Expansion that Agent 3 briefly goes rogue because Tartar tries to take them over yadda yadda yadda but it's also very much implied that, unlike any other test subject, this was an extremely quick and dirty work on the part of the Commander. Within the span of maybe 10 minutes, Tartar goes from waking up, kidnapping Cuttlefish, temporarily brainwashing the Captain? I mean how do you even do it that fast. The fact that most people like to either give Agent 3/Captain 3 the scarring from the sanitized ooze OR make them have a lazy eye and a slightly melted part of their face due to it got me thinking. What's the quickest way to take over someone that strong with such limited resources?
In the finale of Octo Expansion, Tartar, out of nowhere, seems to be drenched in sludge while trying to annihilate humanity. We know that sanitized ooze is able to extract memories and then dummy memories can be implanted. We also know due to Side Order that memories can be ground up into something that represents pieces of a soul. Tartar is a mechanical being, likely without a soul, but I propose the prospect of him having one. Perhaps the sanitization covering him was unique. He is a genius; what if he had a soul ground up inside himself through his own ooze that was injected into the Captain? It's far fetched (and I wish we knew more about this sort of thing) but considering how souls only need a tiny bit of ink to survive and "hide inside" (even if dormant), I imagine a piece of Tartar exists within the Captain.
Why isn't Agent 3 apart of the Memverse? By trying to pull their soul into that world it could mean that the soul of the Captain and the soul of Tartar splits. Like any villain too good to let go of, it could create second life for Tartar where he assumes the form of a younger and different looking agent 3, but sanitized, and tries to corrupt Order in the process. Why does it seem like Captain is always in immense pain using specials (or breaks something in the process) and refuses to do much battling? We know due to osmotic pressure that excitement and high levels of heat cause specials. This excitement stirs the soul. Without a limiter, you can activate many at once, but that's dangerous. Maybe the Captain's limiter is special: no specials unless necessary. Otherwise, there's this ringing of a telephone inside that starts. Either the limiter injects them with something to keep them complicit, or their soul has to start waging war against itself.
I am aware that the way sanitized ooze in OE works means this likely isn't possible. It's not meant to be able to house a sentient thing within it, and Tartar shouldn't even have a soul because he is not this new generation of beings. But I think he'd try to make his own considering his resources and how it is known that test subjects don't die after a single test failure. I do not think it is out of the realm of possibility that he figures something out. Wow that must sound familiar to FNAF fans. This is ripping a page from William Afton's book, but I digress, it's pretty cool to me, and I'm not a good writer. I like things to be shown and told. If I'm going to hurt the Captain, I want to be able to see it. This could also play into "neurological damage". Inklings obviously don't have anything that we do, that includes the funny neurons that do funny things. Sooooo maybe having ink that isn't yours, that you can't remove, like mixing two chemicals that shouldn't be together, causes issues with their motor functions because the body is constantly fighting itself. Like being weakened by your own immune cells fighting yourself, but they can't find what the actual problem is.
This could cause a cool situation where the Captain must decide between risking someone/something and breaking the limiter again to save said thing at the cost of themself. Is there a way to remove this or would it lead to an untimely destruction of both souls? Is it not in the best interest of a leader to sacrifice? Or does the Captain deserve to live without the fear of being taken over and thrown back into the position they once were? How do they grapple with being weakened? Maybe a scenario plays out where trying to control it backfires and Agent 8 has to bring them back to a grounded present. Watching Dune Prophecy did a number on me. A dead person being disgusted with the present through the body of someone who resembles the new era is fun. I like it. But that's just me.
