4-5 years) was informed that if he didn't confess that the guards would arrange to bring his mother other and make her a Prisoner where she would be gang-raped. However the biggest part about the whole movie when the confession first comes out is everyone starting to disbelieve Slahi and thinking that he must have been part of it, that since he allowed one of the terrorists to stay with him the night before the attacks that he was involved with the terrorist group (he had been previously but did leave) and he couldn't be trusted. So when you finally do learn that the confession was faked due to the torture and abuse that Slahi recieved your immediate thoughts go from oh my god I wonder if he did do it to oh my god those guards are absolute assholes, how could a place like Guantanamo Bay be allowed to be open and continue to treat people like this, I hope that it is now closed (upon my checking of this information, unfortunately it's still open at the moment but people are looking into closing the place down) though I have noticed that there is a lot more cases coming out about the way that inmates are being treated and the abuse they're put through on a daily basis. It makes me physically sick to think about the fact that 9 people died, several of them being looked at as "suicides" but obviously having seen what happened to Slahi you can believe that it wasn't suicide but was done by the guards on purpose. Then to hear that throughout the whole of the movie after Slahi finally found out that he'd won his case and was going to be free to leave as soon as, instead he was still kept imprisoned for a further 7 years after being set free leading to a total number of 14 years and 2 months in prison then the biggest thing just to hit you in the feels is that being taken away in 2002 and then not released until 2016 meant that he never saw his mum again after the day he was taken away as she died in 2013..... I will say this if you did read this far ahead and still want to watch the movie despite it being a bit spoiled for you I would recommend it, you won't be disappointed Had to post it in 2 posts as Instagram was being mean and cut me off midway through.... Where can I even begin with my review of this film? I mean I don't even fully know where to begin, most people when you ask them the same question they say at the beginning but I feel like that wouldn't be fair for the main character of this movie so I'm going to start from the middle kind of and work back and forth. So the lead character (real person as this movie is a true story) Mohamedou Ould Slahi when you get to know more about him has been held in prison and not just any prison but the most horrendous place in the world, Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp after having been moved different prisons after being accused of being involved in the planning of 9/11, he is also accused of being close with Bin Laden after having taken a phone call from a friend whose phone was traced back to that of Ladens. So due to this, Slahi had to spend a great majority of his life in Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp. Now that I've started in the middle and kind of explained what he was accused of, I'll be going backwards and forwards now. If you don't want to be spoiled regarding the ending look away now at your own risk: So as I said we meet the character of Slahi he is still being detined in Guantanamo Bay and is also being forced about and treated horribly by the guards, Slahi himself knows that he is innocent whilst the audience travels back and forth wondering what the truth is and wondering if he really should be there. Upon getting to meet the characters of Nancy, Teri, Stuart & Neil we get to see a completely different side of the law from lawyers views to the army views especially such a short time after the events of 9/11 and how the army seems to be sure that Slahi has done everything or that he is lying when he said he wasn't involved despite the fact that he has made a confession (We do find out later on that this confession is a lie and Slahi only wrote this down after he was sexually and physically abused by the guards at Guantanamo Bay along with many other prisons that he went to including being transferred to one where he was water boarded and threatened to be executed before the final straw was when Slahi (who at this point hadn't seen his mother in at least 4 (at Amazon Prime Video) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNf0k8MndWz/?igshid=1vft4x6v09wq1

I really need to try and remember to update this more often but the next on my list of things to watch was #wizardsofwaverlyplacethemovie And now that I've watched the first season of Wizards Of Waverly Place and part of the second season as well up to where the movie would tie into the events even though even the events of the movie don't ever get mentioned or hinted towards again or actually count towards anything really which is rather annoying and makes me wonder where on earth this was really meant to fit into the whole Wizards Of Waverly Place timeline. The one thing I do love is remembering that the costumes worn at the end of the movie are also worn during the final ever episode as well!!!!!!!! Then last up last night it was time to re-watch the one and only #thelionking3hakunamatata or as it's also known #thelionking1andahalf I love how the saying of something being in the eye of the beholder is very true for this movie for such things as Timon and Pumbaa seeing the events of the Lion King through their own eyes and getting to see where they each come from, would have loved to find out a bit more about Pumbaa's past like did he have a family, did he have any brothers or sisters? Was he forced to run away? Tell me more Disney please? Another thing I really liked about seeing the lion king from their perspective was seeing how they really were there the whole time just waiting to find Simba and find their Hakuna Matata which they finally did in a way they didn't expect. Plus Ma and Uncle Max two of my favourite characters ever. Hopefully they bring them back for another film or something soon.....   (at Disney Plus) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNC0aEFHXFV/?igshid=radc88l1iqit

Then next up last night was the fun film #thelionking2simbaspride Not to quote Simba or anything within this movie but it is very true "We Are One". I think what makes this movie even more special is having just recently re-watched the original ones and being older as well to understand the reasons behind why Simba now acts in the way he does to protect his loved ones and protect the rest of his family as well. After the events of the first movie and seeing how Simba finally comes to terms with the fact that it's not his fault for what happened when he was younger, you can really see him struggling to try and get over the anger that he holds to others like Scar, the way in which he is not willing to trust easily and feels like he must always keep a close eyes on things around his own pride. And who can blame him really? Ziara, the new baddie of the second movie is like Scar 100x intensified. She's crazy (at Disney Plus) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNCTu0znSYm/?igshid=uu1ncpliyxb2

And then since I'd watched the original then live action I thought I might as well go back and re-re-watch the original #thelionking Yes I know it's not been altogether all that long since I last watched this movie but can you blame me? This film is absolutely magical from beginning to end and everywhere in between, the songs, the story, the sadness, the laughter, the tension just everything just helps you to understand just what type of movie this one is going to be. Couldn't have asked for a better one. Will never get tired of re-watching even if I am able to quote the movie as well!  (at Disney Plus) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNCRz-znIwE/?igshid=dsqea5pvy6r0

So then a couple of nights ago I decided it was time to sit and re-watch since I'd watched the original animated one I thought it'd be best to watch the live action or photo realistic version of #thelionking Maybe the better question in relation to my review of this film is who can't love the lion king whether it be the animated or live action one, I love both. I know not many people will admit that but I really do. Such a great movie with brilliant songs, an absolutely tremendous score and some very memorable characters that you grow to love more and more with each and every re-watch. Hakuna Matata. Plus knowing that it was Jon Faverau that directed the live action one is so amazing, he's such a great director and actor!! Then next up last night I watched #sixminutestomidnight with my dad So watching this movie tonight can I just start by saying oh my god I was not expecting that movie at all, I was expecting it to be a sort of normal movie about the lead up to WWII, what I wasn't was what came out of this movie from the very start to the end and everything in between plus the amazing acting chops of Eddie Izzard, Jim Broadbent, James D'Arcy and many more couldn't have picked better actors for the roles (at Sky Cinema) https://www.instagram.com/p/CM_9ougH13Y/?igshid=fqr8cuceqxnd

And now I'm up to Saturday, I'm slowly catching up which I'm very happy about so the next movie to watch was #gofigure I've lost count of the amount of times that I've said to myself I must watch this movie and finally figure out what I think about it, having now watched the movie and thinking I may have seen it before but not altogether too sure if I have or not it's safe to say that it was really interesting, not like altogether oh my god amazing and I'll re-watch this 50 odd times but the music was great in and so was Jake Abel, the main reason for watching this movie. And now I'm up to Friday of the day of my movie watching where the next film to add to the list was #adaughtersnightmare Now this movie. You know that a lot of the time where something says it does exactly what it says on the tin well this movie is that sort of doing exactly what it says on the tin. The name of the film, A Daughter's Nightmare explains this movie in a whole and really makes you think twice about trusting someone that you don't fully know or have just met and also don't take food or drink from then either. Never never trust something that you haven't specifically smelled or at least test tasted first especially when it's someone that really does seem too good to be true. I will admit that I did not expect that ending though, I was expecting something a whole lot different.... (at Youtube) https://www.instagram.com/p/CM_x7gUn7Mz/?igshid=rzw1d4i8lmuh

Then the next movie up on my list to watch was #kissme What exactly can I really say about this movie other than what the actual heck or hell or whatever else did I watch? The movie itself starts off kind of normal with the sort of girl meets girl and you think okay it's going to be a romantic love story between these two. What follows though is the strangest thing that I've ever seen in my life even just by the trailers standards (the film makes even less sense than the trailer) so safe to say even though you have Emily Osment with a Southern accent in this movie which is the best thing about the movie, it's not one I'll watch again.  (at Youtube) https://www.instagram.com/p/CM_v0Qvn311/?igshid=bqaffjexk10d
