Pixel art, ink drawings, animation... the midly entertaining hero CQ does it all. Gracious. What a chap.

The last days of the petition against conversion therapy are FASCINATING to watch. I have been following it pretty closely for almost a year now, and the progress was, above all, steady. There was this jump when some algorithm in Finland picked it up, but even that was local.
And now, everyone is panicking.
Which really shows.
These past three or four days, multiple countries have reached the threshold. Even more notably, the number of signatures in total, the ones that we need to get one million of, are growing rapidly. There are only 400'000 signatures missing. Two days ago, it was closer to 600'000.
You can see the progress here:
Consider joining the fun by making everyone around you sign it!

Because of the insane support you all gave me the past years i decided to do a little figurine-
GIVEAWAY
Reblog this post to join (unless you specifically say you don't want to) and get the chance to just get a free Habit figurine for free which means free! Wether you already bought a Habit figure from me or not doesn't matter but of course it would be nicer if the people who don't have one yet get a chance too. You can see the figure in the photo, it's a *special* paint job that i won't be replicating, it's a unique guy. If you rather want a normal one you still have the option to order them from me here.
I will pick a winner on the 3rd May 5pm my time, good luck and thank you! :D
#smile for me#oh now hold on a moment#I was blissfully unaware of these lovely figurines until now#and despite totally ghosting my tumblr under normal circumstances I will in fact throw my hat into this proverbial ring#for the big man#boris habit

The Homestuck 2025 Fan Calendar is HERE!
I have so much love for the fandom tradition of yearly Homestuck calendars, and was so disheartened when they discontinued a few years back. So last year, I decided to continue the tradition on my own, and put together the work of 14 artists for a fantastic final product that did pretty well, thanks to all of you.
Now, the tradition continues! And I have to say that I think we've knocked it out of the park this year. Every single piece is drop-dead gorgeous, and they are all based on the theme of SGRUB.
You can access a free, digital version of the calendar, purchase a physical one and have it shipped to you, or pay as little as $1 USD to gain access to a print-ready PDF and print it yourself!
>>>GET ONE HERE!<<<
Pre-Orders for the physical calendar are open until November 24th! So order one while they’re available!
The lovely artists involved are as follows!
@xamag-draws, @sollay-b, @clockworkreapers, @abyssal-cicada, @theartisticapparition, @eddie-draws, @insufferablemod, @fireworkcat25, @captainquestionart, @ozmodai, @faygos, @indigonite, @xagave, @eggwishing

Land of Sand and Zephyr for @joyfulldreams' Homestuck 2025 fan calendar. Please go check it out, so many fantastic artists worked on it.
I was assigned Tavros' planet for this one. Since Tavros is pretty much the only troll shown solving puzzles in SBURB, I wanted to do something to highlight the game part of the planet. Initially, I was going to go for a point and click adventure idea, but eventually the 3D collectathon platformer angle seemed more fun.
As part of this idea, I also knew from the start that I wanted to push myself to learn how to do some rudimentary 3D modeling, something I had absolutely zero experience with. In the end I used the models as a base for digital art rather than rendering the whole thing in 3D (which I couldn't really figure out how to do within the deadline), but I still quite like how the models themselves came out. I hope to get better at it now that I at least understand the absolute basics.

It's been a long time, everybody.
I'm doing well working at my day job and going to school lately. I'm really busy these days so I've stepped away from Homestuck for most purposes except for occasionally looking at fanart on Tumblr, and that's been a good place to be for a while.
But I've really enjoyed the recent HS^2 updates, and reading @bladekindeyewear's liveblog of them finally clicked some stuff into place in my head about how to put words to all this. The enormity of what I feel about Dirk Strider in the wake of the Epilogues and Post-Canon.
I hope you enjoy reading.
Keep rising.

Great work, I for one would love to have my boy here embroidered on... like a jacket, or something? Or maybe it's the same kind of overcoat Raz is already wearing, except this time it also has a little Raz *on* the coat. Perfect.
By the way, for anyone else who might be interested in making something like this with my pixel art, you need only ask and I'll send you a folder with all my Psychonauts sprites with a convenient little grid overlay.

THROUGH THE SHEER FORCE OF HYPERFOCUS,
HE IS COMPLETE!

My rendition of Caliborn's Land of Colours and Mayhem for @joyfulldreams ' wonderful unofficial Homestuck Fan Calendar. Please go check it out [HERE], it contains many beautiful pieces of art from some incredible fan artists! And also one bizarre papercraft hellscape.
I decided that to try to do this fucked up nasty place justice, I wanted to try and make a weird mixed media thing. This involved digital art, pixel art, a bunch of cutting and pasting, and additional editing from joyfulldreams herself to make everything look better in print, of course. Then, last but not least, the angriest little clay boy you ever did see. His eyes are the heads of sewing pins! A few more exclusive behind the scenes pictures under the cut:

The stage everyone secretly dreamed of for Nick All-Stars Brawl... but it could never be real, not officially. Well, he’s here now in Smash Crusade. You’re all welcome. The Hoff is here for you.

How’s Wacom with Repairing Pen Displays?
Hey all, I’m in a bit of a pickle. I’ve been working with a Wacom Cintiq Pro 13″ for a good number of years, and it still works really well, though lately it’s been getting dead pixels and dust under the screen, which I’ve been able to ignore for a good long while but now it’s just too distracting with the appearance of one bright one. Wacom doesn’t make this model anymore, but I called them to set up a repair and it seems they do have parts for it, mainly a new LCD backing.
But the main thing that’s giving me pause is the stories I see off of reddit mainly of Wacom not doing a good job with repairs, either not doing enough, not fixing it at all, or instead replacing the hardware with something else (which I would not want, as I like this model). Now, I would like to believe that these stories are only from those with issues who rightfully complain, which is valid, though I doubt those who’ve had a good experience are going to be actively saying so.
That’s why I’m asking YOU, all of you artists who have a Wacom and have ever had to send it in for repairs, how was your overall experience? I want to see if there is anything to worry about, whether or not it’s a good idea to send it for repairs at all. Hoping there are more good experiences over bad. It’s rather expensive for out of warranty, though not as expensive as getting a new one of similar caliber (which I wouldn’t even really want because 13″ is perfect for my set up, and the closest type they have is 16″, which it a bit too big).
Also, been thinking of starting to do commissions on @artmolonara and more of my OC art on @pyrajanison, and if I have to send my tablet away for a good amount of time, that’s gonna put a halt to that for a good long while. I want to know if it’s worth it, if there is a significant risk. Please let me know!

Streets of Kamuro-Cho Kiwami
Animated mock-up commission of a Yakuza 2D beat ‘em up. Audio was added by @joyfulldreams. There’s a little bit more to the background than you can see in the animation, so I’m putting the full version and some of the animations themselves under a cut.
