my favorite unfounded tog character headcanon is that nicky exclusively reads cheesy romance paperbacks. he burns through like 4/week during downtime, aware and fully embracing the fact that most are vapid nonsense. booker collects expensive first editions of really pretentious shit, meanwhile nicky owns 327 incarnations of the enemies to lovers trope and every single instance of snowed in together ever published lying around multiple safehouses and always remembers to pack something for the road.

Mel haters and that side of the fandom constantly use the scene where Jayce and Mel argue as a gotcha to Mel or as a way to shit on her relationship with him when that scene was indicative of Jayce's mental health decline. His time in the cave chipped away at his sanity. Why are people acting like Jayce was right? Even Jayce doesn't believe that, that's why he apologized.

If you look back and see what he said to her, you realize that Jayce was making no sense whatsoever. He complained that Mel saw him as an investment when he begged her to invest in him. He said she used him, but he benefited from her influence and resources. He questions why Mel would only save him and not all of them, even though he knows that Mel wouldn't let people intentionally die if she could.

I'm tired of people saying the man was right when he wasn't; he was just very unwell, and more people need to acknowledge that instead of shitting on Mel.

You can’t tell me they didn’t make Viktor’s (presumably) dead body in the council scene look erotic on purpose.

Lips parted, head tilted back, somehow looking miraculously healthier than he did just minutes earlier—all for the sake of how Jayce sees him in that moment. What cracks me up—and why I’m convinced this was done intentionally—is the fact that the explosion apparently removed his tie and unbuttoned his shirt (????).

Because yeah, that’s totally what explosions do.

Viktor fully got the male-gaze death scene treatment usually reserved for the fallen female love interest. Like, sure, she’s dead, but let’s make sure she’s serving face and showing a little neck and cleavage.
