I am SO sorry
I've had a rough week just dealing with depression and a stomach illness. I spent most of the past few days doing a new Mass Effect playthrough, so I'm keeping my muses alive. I apologize if you've been waiting on me and I've been absent! <3

Headcanon #2
Henry currently heads up an Alliance Special Tasks Force devoted purely to intercepting and performing strikes against Cerberus forces. Interestingly, he was not originally considered for recruitment in it, but as soon as he heard about it, he pushed and pulled. But word is he has a personal vendetta against the Pro-Human splinter group. Something to do with his deceased Wife...

He didn't intend to get in the good books of the blue 'Queen'. For all intents and purposes, this place was as barren as the moon to Henry. It stunk of the same filth that took his wife from him and left his daughter without a family to care for her. The longer he spent here, the more anger festered inside him, scratching like a wild beast at the bars of a prison.
"I never said I asked nicely." Henry's tone changed. Not insubordinate, but rather, one that contradicted his seemingly 'handsome' and 'neat' appearance; vengeful. "I've been deployed to some of the worst shit-holes in the galaxy; I know how mercenary 'etiquette' works." But for all his hard talk, it was difficult to disguise the fact that the Alliance veteran's eyes kept darting to the various guards around him; not to their faces, but to their holsters. They'd likely blow his legs off if they got the slightest inclination that Vallance was turning hostile.
"What's it going to cost me to get details on him?" If it wasn't apparent to Aria already, Henry's urgent voice suggested he was by no means a customer of Axel's. Likely, he was going to collect a debt of blood.

Things you should know before roleplaying with me:
I over-tag everything because I’m a little shit
My replies are slow because I’m a little shit
I admittedly play favorites at times because I’m a little shit
Sometimes I’m just lurking because I’m a little shit.
I can’t always match how much you wrote because I’m a little shit

"What do you mean... anymore?"
He isn't sure if she's just screwing with him or not.
"What are—"
Shit.
"Do they even still have the girl scouts anymore?”

It was difficult not to be impressed with the authority the Asari wielded. They were hardly the most intimidating of races in the galaxy, but rather, deceived with seduction and a faux gentle appearance. Yet, Aria's demeanor appeared anything but gentle to Henry. There was very little information out there about Aria's past, except that she was an incredibly powerful biotic. He had to tread carefully.
Taking a few steps upwards, he remained standing. He imagined she only invited her 'friends' to sit down. And the last thing this burdened soldier wanted was to get cozy with this Ice Queen. "I won't waste any more of your time than necessary." Formalities first, perhaps to earn a modicum of respect. "I'm looking for an ex-Cerberus operative. He goes by the name 'Axel'. Whenever I mention him, most of the mercs around here shrug their shoulders. But it's no secret he's a popular guy with the mercs on Omega."
It was true. 'Axel' was a prominent black market dealer and ex-commando. Trading not just in weaponry, but also in information and technology, he made the lives of some of the dirtiest mercs a lot more comfortable. No one was willing to sell him out - especially to an Alliance soldier.

Headcanon #1
Henry has a daughter named Adrianna, who is 12 years old. She currently resides on the Citadel, under the care of an Alliance foster program. Henry wishes he could visit her more often, but no matter how hard he tries, it seems like this war with the Reapers will end with him becoming estranged from her.

i'm just human || OPEN
Vallance stood over a basin, observing the stitch work on the latest wound he had received - an Omni-tool blade swipe from a Cerberus soldier across the right side of his abdomen. He overheard commotion from outside, then a request to leave the rest area. Opening the door, with no shirt on, he eyed the next person.
"All yours."

"I'm no Cadet." Vallance responded sharply. A lingering urge to draw his pistol and illuminate the merc's head with a single laser sight was apparent, but it would attract unwanted attention; discretion was the better part of valor. Instead, Vallance ignored Zaeed's warning, and proceeded to walk next to the merc, leaning against the balcony as if...
Well, as if they were good friends.
"I recognize your face." It wasn't a joke; he didn't make such pathetic quips such as that. "Seem to remember it on a number of Capture-or-Kill lists that our boys in blue worked up." Vallance turned his head away slightly, calmly observing the various people at the cafes below. "But the thing I can't work out is - why would someone like you be taking a casual wander through the Citadel? Thought your type had to play it safe; lay low."
