AIGHT YALL so I know it’s been… a while buuuuuut, I am here with song breathing description forms and blah blah blah. I’ll be releasing these posts as I go, but for now I’ll just give Yall its origins and bases and yata yata. So enjoy! :)

Origins

Ok so basically song breathing originated from water, mist and sound breathing (mostly sound breathing) Basically my oc, Kanon invented when she joined the corps cuz none of the other styles rlly suited her properly. So she just made her own. She used the elegance and speed of mist and water breathing, while using the base of sound breathing, so it’d be like sound breathing, but instead of controlled BIG BURSTS, she uses more precise smaller strands that flow with more flexibility and fluency. For this she based the flowing ness off her fighting style, which is like almost dancing- like an elegant freestyle ballet/gymnastics/ballroom dancing. (Yes, Kanon knows pretty much all dancing styles and yes she does mix with it up a little with other dances in her fighting style when she feels like it so there will be lil bursts of salsa or something when she fights lol.) Kanon made this breathing style because rather than a stronger form, she is tall and kinda lanky, but flexible and fast as shit. Love breathing and insect breathing could have been alright for her but insect breathing was awkward for her given the lack of more like physical strength combat (CUS she still is decently strong) and love breathing required to much strength and she didn’t know the first thing about handling a whip, let alone a sword like mitsuri’s so she was in that weird awkward in between- water breathing- she can’t fucking swim. Mist breathing wasn’t exactly her thing either (she didn’t wanna continuously deal with muichiro forgetting what he was doing to teach her- she doesn’t love him like a lil bro tho). Sound breathing was too outta control for her, and she tends to over heat quite fast, so flame breathing was a nope on her end. Her breathing style also keeps her cool in a way. Like at random points she can do something with her breathing where she can cool herself down during a fight. And wind breathing- she was a lil afraid of Sanemi when they first met. And stone breathing- too heavy and required more strength. So yeah. Song breathing has 14 forms but I’ll cover those later. Goodbye for now!

Demon slayer Oc! This is Kanon, my demon slayer oc with my made up breathing style song breathing which is an offshoot of sound breathing except it requires more precision, fluent and flexible movements with well thought and calculated strikes and quick precise blows rather than larger explosive blows like sound breathing. Song breathing is basically a more complex, complicated and fluent sound breathing with more moves that number being a total of 13 moves which Kanon created herself in my headcanon. Will cover more on it in other posts! :)
