He went inside and then changed his clothes, he didn’t take too long to go out and find her waiting. Sorry for let you wait, let’s go? Yukito was glad that she waited for him but it was late and he was worried if someone was worried about her. Did you let your father know you were going home late?

“ It’s alright! No worries, Yukito-san! “ Sakura exclaimed, fixing her posture alittle bit more so that she’d be ready to head home. “ Ah, I just told Onii-chan because I think dad’s gonna be working late again tonight -- but I don’t think he’d mind at all!! I’ll be sure to remind him once we reach home! “ Maybe it’d be a good idea to do that on the way, but it’d be rude to be on her phone while she was with someone else, no?

“ I’ll see you guys tomorrow!! “ The girl wore a bright smile, leaving her school and friends behind to go back home. Despite her day ending like any normal one, today was actually very special! That’s right.. it was.. Sakura’s birthday!! The girl received small gifts here and there from her friends and family, and that was more than enough for her to feel absolutely content. Just the fact that people actually remembered and care for her is the best gift of all..! ( Perhaps if her luck still remains, she’ll not have to do dinner duty tonight )

Sakura followed the same usual path she always would to her house, that energetic and bright smile never leaving her features. It seemed like her happiness was already at it’s limit, and nothing could bring her down!! Until, she noticed something alittle bit peculiar in front her, standing on the sidewalk. The girl squinted her eyes a bit, getting closer to that silhouette she sworn she had seen before. ‘ It.. couldn’t be.. ‘ Her emerald eyes widen once she finally realizes who this mystery person before her could be. It was none other than..

“ Syaoran-kun..? “

She almost couldn’t believe it. Was this even real? Syaoran, standing before her, and on her birthday, no less. It totally caught her off guard, but she could feel her heart skip a beat once it was confirmed she actually wasn’t dreaming or anything. It takes no hesitation to embrace the brown haired boy tightly, happy butterflies fluttering inside of her stomach as she brought him close to her. “ Syaoran-kun!! I’m so happy to see you!! “ Sakura exclaimed with delight. She couldn’t help but curiously wonder why he just randomly decided to show up. Maybe he was.. surprising her? Was he here for her birthday? Aah, the idea made her heart practically melt -- but maybe that was alittle bit too selfish? Maybe there’s a perfectly logical explanation, but, one thing she knew for sure was that she was going to spend lots of time with him!!

Her head perks up to the sound of his voice. “ Of course, Yukito-san! I’ll wait by the front door! “ The girl grabbed her things and make her way out to the exit, waiting for her friend to walk home with.

uHmm i actually have no idea– i haven’t really had any ocs in a while but i mean if you’re asking for idea and tips for your own oc as long as they aren’t overpowered and they look cute and they’re nice than you’re good to go!!

yue :

   He shakes his head lightly at her apology, raising a hand as he did so to indicate that it wasn’t necessary. 

   “You can request for me at any time.” With his reassurance left out in the open, Yue listens to the other’s story. So his hunch was right after all… Sakura figured out that it was him and wanted to relay her gratitude. It came across loud and clear.

   A small sigh escapes him as he averts his gaze. A part of him knew that Sakura would be happy with practically anything he got her, within reason, but he still wasn’t sure whether his choice was preferable or not. He’d only ever given gifts to Clow and their tastes are vastly different, as one might imagine. However it seems like Yue was able to gauge her interests well enough to make her smile. That’s good.

   But on the other hand, his plan of not troubling her ended up doing the opposite of what he’d intended.

   “You are… correct, it was me… But I’m not sure why you would feel bad about it.” He frowns slightly. “You were busy during the day and I didn’t hand it to you in person, so you wouldn’t have been able to open it or thank me much sooner than you did.”

   Or is it because it made her realize that they didn’t spend time together on her birthday…?

   Yue scratches his cheek subconsciously when an interrogation over his actions is sent his way. He thinks over his answer carefully before saying anything. Why exactly did he do it?

   Whether he wants to acknowledge it or not, there’s still a rather big wall between the two of them and it’s one of his own creation. Even if he now recognizes Sakura’s potential, even if he considers her to be not only his master but a friend, even if he would do anything to protect her— Yue knows she won’t be able to stay around forever. Just like Clow, her time to leave will come.

   He wants to be closer to Sakura ( like how she is with the others ) but at the same time can’t bring himself to fully commit or take ownership of that feeling, all for the sake of self preservation. The result is a thoughtfully crafted gift and a lack of the confidence needed to take pride in it. 

   Keroberos has always been stronger when it came to matters of the heart, while Yue is far more fragile than he lets on. He’d never admit it but he’s jealous of that.

   “It’s nothing important. I just didn’t think it was necessary.” Vague as always. The guardian places a hand on her head briefly. “I gave them to you with no expectations and you’ve gone out of your way still, so don’t feel guilty.”

Her gaze softens, nodding to indicate that she was listening to what he had to say. He insists that she shouldn’t feel bad, but the wave of guilty is much too strong to overpower. That’s just the type of girl she was, after all. No matter what Sakura always tries her best for the people she cared about, and Yue just so happened to be one of them, obviously! Technically, as his master, she felt that it was necessary to understand each other more than anything!! And doubled with her genuine interest in the mysterious male, even just something as small as feeling like he shouldn’t sign his name on a gift was extremely important to her.

“ Yue-san.. “ The young girl muttered, quickly blinking as he layed his hand onto her head. Her lips pursed a tiny bit as his fingers motioned away from her. “ Of course I would go out of my way for you! You’re my friend, and everyone deserves credit for something they’ve especially worked very hard on!! “ Sakura responds with worry laced around each word that flows out of her. “ All of my friends are incredibly important to me, and that includes you too Yue-san! “ She wanted to make sure that it was ok to be open, and comfortable with her more than anything. And even if it might take him a while to warm up to her, there was no obligation to it! Sakura was willing to wait, because.. that’s what good friends do!

“ I appreciate all you’ve done for me.. helping me with the cards, to taking your time to give me something on my birthday – you really are a great friend, Yue-san.. “ Sakura let a warm smile creep across her features. “ I’m so grateful that you’re my friend, and I’d really like to get closer with you..! So please.. “ A small pause. “ Don’t worry so much, ok? “

   “You wanted to talk to me?”

   The following day, at Yukito’s house, Yue emerged from curled wings at Sakura’s request. His expression is rather blank ( as it often is ), feigning ignorance as to why his new master friend would seek him out. However he’s fairly certain that it’s about the birthday present he’d left her. Sakura could be slow at times but she’s not stupid.

   As for why he went for such a roundabout approach towards the whole ordeal, well… it was mostly for the sake of not troubling Sakura. She had her family and friends to spend time with— and of course that included Yukito, who she’s known for much longer ( and can actually spend time with out in public ). It made little sense to interrupt over a small present.

   Then he ended up purposefully leaving out his name on the box as well, which is not as easy to explain. Is it really a surprise at this point that Yue isn’t always the best at being direct when it comes to kindness? In the end, the part that matters is her receiving it, not him getting credit for it… That’s what he thought.

   But there’s something nice about the fact that she came anyway— even if it should have been expected from someone as endlessly kind as Sakura.

“ Ah, yes! I’m sorry to request for you so suddenly-- “ It was early in the morning, and Sakura made sure to make her first priority to pay Yue a visit before anything else today. Well.. she, of course, was stopped to enjoy some of the breakfast her father had prepared for both her and her older brother ( that was amazing as always! ) before heading off with a reminder where she’d be going. It was only necessary to make sure that she showed Yue how grateful she truly was, since he was the only one that she didn’t get to see on her birthday, and his present had reached her so late in the day, she was determined to make it up to him no matter what! However, scrambling to Yukito’s in such a quick fashion may have not been the best idea.. But with her roller skates laid by the front door, and Yukito complying to transform for her, this is where we find the two now. 

The girl straightened up her posture, looking up to meet with soft grey eyes, completely different from her own vibrant green ones. “ I wanted to meet with you as quickly as I could.. so I could thank you for the gift you left me last night. “ She spoke with her smile never wavering, the gratitude painted all across her features. “ I’m sorry for opening it so late, but the ornaments made me really happy! I was unsure who sent it to me because there was no name on the package -- but I assumed it was you because you were the only person I didn’t get to see yesterday.. “ Sakura averted her eyes, twiddling her thumbs a tiny bit before looking back up at him. “ I felt bad, so I made sure to thank you properly today instead! I really appreciate it, Yue-san! “ She continued, feeling relieved that she finally was able to give her thanks. However.. there was still something that had lingered in her mind..but was it an alright thing to ask? Yue wasn’t the type to be openly kind like she was, but she couldn’t wrap her head around why he’d leave a nameless package. The girl was sure if she hadn’t been around almost all of her closest friends, she probably wouldn’t have known that Yue was the secret bringer of the mysterious box on her bedside table.. But! She gives it a try anyways!!

“ I still don’t really understand why you didn’t put your name on the box, though.. why? “
