“kids spend too much time on their devices” well what else are they supposed to do? there’s no corner shops with pinball machines in them on every corner anymore. there’s no malls or stores in small towns for teens to hang out in without being suspected of shoplifting or kicked out for loitering. sidewalks are too broken for them to ride their bikes and there’s no bike lane in the street to make it safe for them. i just don’t understand where they expect these kids to go when they keep taking places away from them. and yes having no safe public places for them is what leads a lot of teens into addiction if they end up at a place where people aren’t truly looking out for them.

Cause it's been ages since I last shared some writing, here's a sample from the first chapter of Built for Pleasure I posted for patrons last month. As I told patrons, they're picking the outcome for the story. I have no control over how long it will be or even how it's going to end. Kagome couldn’t say that she was unhappily single. Most days out of the average month she found being unattached to be perfectly fine, but there were some periods where her lack of a plus one was weighing heavily on her. Her friends had it easy. They had no qualms about one night stands that turned into more. A couple of friends had been with their significant other since high school or college. Some friends were introduced to other friend circles and connected. And as of three weeks prior, all of her friends in her circle were either married or engaged. Ayumi was the last to be proposed to, and naturally it had to be done on their group outing to dinner.

Amidst all of the congratulatory celebrations that night, everyone kept glancing to her and her bare left hand. The silent stares that said she had no choice but to be next. That there would be “the one” for her to come along.

The looks of pity that her friends didn’t believe their own thoughts, that she’d stay alone for the rest of her life. Kagome often had those thoughts, especially during the low periods.

It wasn’t that she needed a companion; the concept sounded nice, because complete solitude wasn’t ideal. The fact of it was, she didn’t want to settle, and she didn’t think she was supposed to. None of her friends settled; each had met their future in their own time. But with Ayumi’s engagement, Kagome was beginning to feel like she had no choice. They would expect her to have a date to dance with. There wasn’t a date for the wedding yet, but she was almost certain that Ayumi would be walking down the aisle within the year.

I have another one. It’s an older fic. All I remember is something happens to Sango and Kagome ends up carrying her baby for her. It’s set in canon universe and IY is the one who is there for her and realizes what she’s going through after giving birth and giving the baby to Sango and Miroku
