Officially claimed my #NaNoWriMo win today! The biggest lesson I learned through this experience is that first drafts are beautiful chaos - even if you took the time to plan well. I gave myself permission to have a messy first draft and it changed everything! I still have over half the book left to write, but I'm so proud of getting started. Congrats to you whether you wrote 50k or 500 words this month! Congrats if you worked on goals for other dreams or for your personal life! Only 4K more words to win #NaNoWriMo 💪🏼 I love this quote! It has really helped me to take risks, and starting my first novel is the largest one this year - challenging myself, believing in myself. I've learned that first drafts truly are a mess, but I'm working past my perfectionism to embrace the chaos of creativity. NaNo has taught me to write without judgement of the words or myself.
