The end of an era: As I was walking into Junkee this afternoon, this was being carried out in a customer's arms. Pretty humbling and amazing to see this piece finally sell. I painted this for my first art gallery show in November 2007. It's selling today, nearly 10 years after its initial debut is the sign, or omen I've been asking for! Feeling pretty stoked and grateful tonight. I'll be back to glamming up furniture next week, so stay tuned!

So good to be home! Nesting, cooking, enjoying a fall night by the fireplace. Homemade organic bean + bacon soup. This soup is mind blowing! Recipe : 6 pieces of bacon chopped 1/2 sweet onion 2-3 large carrots chopped 1/2 cup parsley chopped 10 baby golden potatoes chopped small 4 celery stalks chopped 2 cans white beans 2 quarts chicken broth 2 Bay leaves Salt + pepper to taste Cook bacon till crispy, add onion, carrots, celery, and parsley and cook until soft in bacon drippings. Add beans (don't strain), broth, potatoes and bay leaves and set to a medium boil for 1 hour or until potatoes start to dissolve. Add salt and pepper to taste!
