Our culture doesn't understand genocide denial well. Genocide denial isn't just people openly saying something didn't happen. It's a way of thinking that attempts to take away a group's right to existence.

Genocide denial is arguing about weather a culture did something wrong when you talk about atrocities agaisnt them.

Genocide denial is talking about the practicalities or safety risks of a group's existence.

Genocide denial is removing the idea that someone from a group is able to be a civilian.

Genocide denial is denying that a group under threat or that has been a victim of atrocities even is a distinct group.

Genocide denial is denying that atrocities are from a systemic source and instead blaming them on individuals.

Genocide denial is comparing one genocide to another to make it seem lesser.

Genocide denial on its most fundamental level is the denial that a group can be or has been a victim of genocide. It is the same action fundamentally as genocide defense, no distinction can be made.

Not every genocide denier is going to look like a neonazi but every one of them is thinking like one. You aren't immune to these thought patterns, check yourself and your freinds.
