So here's a peek into how my weird little autistic brain works when I watch movies. I had on the original Halloween (1978) the other night, because it's awesome, I hadn't watched it yet this year, and 'tis the season.
But to this day, I really have no idea what Lori and her friends were talking about when they're walking home from school toward the beginning, because I'm too distracted by the damn street.
They must have shot the scene on at least two different days and cut them together. Because in one shot, the street is wet and the sky is cloudy, like it just rained. And in the next, it's sunny and the street is dry. Then it's wet again. Then dry. Then wet. (I prefer the rainy/wet street, because it feels more fall-like to me.)
So when I decided to Midjourney a reimagined Haddonfield, Illinois for Halloween a little while later, I made damn sure the street was wet and the sky was cloudy. Consistently. In all the images.
That said, I'm not sure how much these homes look like the average houses in Haddonfield, but I'm not sure I care that much, because I on purpose developed the ones I thought were prettier. (Maybe this is the rich side of town.)
The streets are wet and the sky is cloudy, though, so all is right with the world. 🎃 🔪

Spooky season means it's time for spooky Midjourney projects. 🎃 This one is of a lit zombie rave in a cemetery.
We watched part of The Munsters (the new Rob Zombie film) last night before bed, and I looooooooved the obnoxiously bright color palette -- particularly the bright purples and greens. I loved it so much, I borrowed it for this, because it seemed like one zombie rave goers would really appreciate.
That said, this place looks poppin', and I hope I get to party here when I'm dead. I especially love how some of the zombies are taking selfies. One even appears to be wearing his lost eyeball as a necklace. 🧟‍♀️🧠🎉

"See the vegetable man in the vegetable van," was a lyric from a Beck song called "Qué Onda Guero" that is years and years old now, but that I absolutely loved at the time it came out.
Naturally, Beck was describing a local agricultural worker (probably Latino) who used his vehicle to either sell or deliver vegetables -- something we see very often here in California. But I always saw this in my head, and I loved that image.
To this day, I still fondly talk about the vegetable men and the vegetable vans -- especially in regards to local produce delivery people and whatnot. To me, they were like Santa Clauses, bringing us all the gift of fresh veggies. They still are!
The other day I decided to use Midjourney to recreate what I always saw in my head when I thought of the Vegetable Man as more of a character. So here are some possibilities as to what he could look like, along with his Vegetable Van, of course.
He also has a Vegetable House in a Vegetable City, which I also designed. But those are posts for another day.

"When I was little and we used to move all the time, I'd write these notes and I would fold them up really small. And I would hide them."
" What'd they say?"
"They're just things I wanted to remember so that if I ever wanted to go back, there'd be a piece of me there waiting."
