For the Faint of Heart’ is a 6-piece-photographic series by Olivia Smith, a 21-year-old fashion photographer who works, quite literally, closer to home out of her living room studio in Sydney of Australia. Her 6-piece series explores mediums of film and polaroid photography to conceptualise fashion and art within her conceit i biting the iconic event of Valentine’s day. ‘For the Faint of Heart’ explores not only the concept of love itself - but the wallowing heart break that eats the heart-broken every year, on the 14th.
Within this project, elements of colour imagery arise within the use of the colour red portrayed in the images through the wet, dyed red hair, that overwhelms and embodies the photographic series. To Catwalkcats, the colour red envisions factors of passion, lust, and loss familiar to the likes of photographer, Olivia Smith.
