9. What is your favourite thing to drink/eat while you write?

If I'm at home, I usually have a root beer to drink, bc its just the main thing i drink (or sprite. there arent many sodas without caffeine in them unfort) if I'm at starbucks for a writing session, I like to get a caramel hot chocolate! I dont rlly get food for writing sessions, just the drink

12. What time of day do you most write?

It tends to vary, depending on what my work schedule is for the day/week. I usually like to do afternoons, though, its when I'm awake enough to function but haven't been awake long enough to have lost all brain power skjfnesg

hello! what's one or two things about your current/main WIP that you're exceptionally proud of?

Thanks for the ask! I'm gonna answer for ASMLP for this one, cause I don't quite have enough about this latest project yet lol

First thing I'm quite proud of in A Sharper, More Lasting Pain is Nadia. Just. As a character. While I know I have plenty to clean up in later drafts, I'm proud of her as a person and the arc that she has. She's my little blorbo, as the kids might say.

I'm also really proud of how well I've (mostly) stuck to the original outline. I have had to deviate a bit, cause I realized I needed to devote more time to some things. But, that aside, this is the most I've really... outlined a project? In forever. So I'm proud of how well I've stuck to it up to now.

I just like this project a lot 🥰

Hey there! What is your favorite project you've worked on and why?

hello! I love this question :bongo:

my favorite is definitely Lantern's Light, which will also be the one that takes me the longest to write for the exact reasons it's my favorite skjfnesge Lantern's Light (honestly i don't rlly care for the title but titles are hard so until i think of something better, this will do) is my most ambitious project, spanning two different time periods within the same novel.

The main part of the story is set in the present day, a modern fantasy world very much like Earth but its not Earth. its your typical medieval/epic fantasy land but after industrial revolution so its more like what the modern reader expects to see in their own world. Sorren, the MC, performs an accidental kindness to an old god and is chosen as their new champion to fight against the new god that is trying to destroy them all. She also gets tasked with babysitting the reborn champion of the gods from ye olden days, and she hates everything about this so so so much.

the other half of the story is set within ye olden days and is the story of how the champion, Vaísa, originally fought against this old god, told in flashbacks as she remembers her past throughout the main story. There's also a whole ass conlang for the story that I'm building, which is the part thats slowing things down bc my notes for it are. back in a box with my stuff in texas that my parents never brought up to me like they said they would (: i have the tumblr dictionary for the language i put up when i first made the language but not my notes and i dont have the seed for the language to pull it back up thru vulgar so im kinda just stuck on it until i can get that unless i want to start completely over on the language. which, unfortunately, might be the easiest solution at this point :/

I love my opening lines because I’m quite good at making them funny and fucking with tropes at the same time. Consider:

Braddik wasn’t like other dwarves. He was six-foot-two.

And also:

Simon Halisonn did not understand all the fuss about him being a necromancer.

I love both of these!
