ICT (Information and Communication Technology) “Affecting our daily lives”

Hellooo welcome to my blog catnatics! Catastrophycatme is here. Today’s blog is about how ICT affects my daily life. But what is ICT? It is Information and Communication Technology. The merging of audiovisual, telephone and computer networks through a common cabling system. Cool right? Basically the use of gadgets the transmit communications and information throughout the world in one easy click of the mouse or touch screen.

Usually I use these technologies every day. When I wake up my phone is right beside me. I’ll see my texts from my girlfriend Andrey (Hellooooo <3). After that, when I’m in the mood to watch gaming videos in the morning while I’m eating I do it. After watching the gaming videos I sometimes forgot to put the plates in the sink. My mom always gets mad at me because of that (Sorry Mom XD). After watching gaming videos I’m going to shower and sometimes proceeded in watch gaming videos again (If I have time). Then I will go to school. I look at the GC of my section if there’s an update on school works. Inside the room, sometimes I use my phone for texting or listening to music. After school, I’ll accompany Andrey up to CayPombo before I went home. I use my cell phone to listen to music because I don’t want to listen to people around me. Sometimes I play Cytus II in the jeepney or in the tricycle (it is a rhythm game that cost P100). And when I arrive at home, I play ML (Mobile legends) it is a multiplayer online battle arena that lets you connect and fight with people around the world, it is a 5v5. It’s very competitive game play. But mostly I use my PS4 (Playstation 4) which is the latest play station today. And that’s what I do every day. Now for what Advantages that I can get for doing these things are: -It enhances my thinking skills. While playing video games helps you think tactical decisions. So by means of playing it makes me think faster. -It entertains me. We always strive to look for something that entertains us. So for me playing video games entertains me. -I can communicate with my friends, girlfriend and family. Communication now is very important. We find ways to make it easier to communicate. By ICT, it helps me to communicate to them conveniently and time-saving. -It enhances my English and grammar. By using an online dictionary Microsoft and browsing the unfamiliar words in Google. Helps me to become familiar at words and develops my grammar. -Doing research for school works. By typing at the keyboard or tapping at the phone makes it easier to look for what I needed to do for my school works. Instead of going to the library I use my personal computer or my cell phone to find it. Now for Disadvantages that I can get for doing these things are: -Bad sleeping habits. The biggest disadvantage for me is bad sleeping habits. When Andrey and I play Mobile legends, we usually ended up sleeping around 1:00 or 3:00 in the morning. As a result we always woke up late because of staying late at night. -Distraction. Using cell phones or playing video games can get us distracted. Examples, after I’m finish eating. I play Apex Legends (a first person shooter online game) and my mom wants me to do the dishes. Sometime I tend to ignore her to keep focused at the game and my mom will get mad at me because I didn’t do the dishes. -Bad eye sight. Way back when I’m 8 years old I learned to play video games from my cousin Philip. Ever since I play video games it makes my eye sight blurred. I started to wear a glasses since I was 10 years old up to the present days. -News. ICT keeps me updated about the recent news. But I usually check a news if it is about games especially if there are upcoming online games, gaming devices and so on. -Addiction. Since gaming tends to entertain and amuse me it leads to addiction especially if I failed to control myself. Everything stated above are the reason why I become addicted in using an ICT Information and Communication Technology for short ICT, gives us both advantages and disadvantages. And it is our responsibility to be careful and use these things properly especially if you know these can be a great help in your everyday lives. This is it for my blog as of noooow!!!
