[Cate watched as he rummaged for the bundle of paper, tilting her head to the side while she waited]

"My skills? Well I specialise in mechanical engineering but I have been trying to branch out, unsuccessfully as if right now. I'm also pretty good for repairs, I've actually got my own repair shop that I run. So tinkerer is maybe a bit of an understatement but I like the title. What projects do you need help with. If you don't mind me asking of course. "

[Cate perked up when Don said that he could give her a tour]

" The Leviathan. That is quite the name. I understand though. If that were my ship I'd love it as well."

"No. So far the only vehicle on worked on is a bike. Getting to see the ship is purely curiosity. And hopefully to learn"

[With a shy air, the Lord of the Wasteland poked his head into the weapons lab and glanced about, looking for the young woman he had heard of from his students and coworkers.]

[He had a favor to ask - an overdue fix-up of his old bike. He'd found it in storage, entirely on accident, and the thing wouldn't start up. He wasn't going to pretend to know how to fix it.]

[Stepping fully into the lab, he straightened out the blazer of the sunset-hued suit he was wearing - an outfit his heart insisted he wear while teaching, complete with a tiny pin on the collar in the shape of a grumpy, but very cute, shark.]

Pardon me, but is anyone here? I am looking for the new tinkerer under Jones' employ - Miss Meowdy, I believe?

Obviously she's met Jones but she still needs to introduce herself to the teachers and the students. But that could wait now]

[She heard Don approaching and turned towards him, giving him a polite wave]

"Hi there! That's me. You must be Megalo Don. I've heard a lot about you. You've got that frankly awesome boat right? I'd love to have a look someday. What brings you to me?"

If you'd like to help out, it would be greatly appreciated! We'd be able to pay you for your time and resources, so you'd be acting as more of an outside contractor. If that sounds good to you, you can report to the weapons lab whenever you're ready!

*Cate smiled as she walked into the back of the shop. There's a some metal clangs as Cate drags through a crate of assorted canisters. A couple clearly labeled "NITRO". She picks one up and places it on the counter*

"So I've got some nitro here that I can fit onto the bike. It'll make it faster, more fuel efficient and provide a bit of power if you ram anything. These canisters are rare so they're pricey. But they're worth it. What do you say?"

*Evie usually worked on her own bike, just because she could. It was always a good idea to be as familiar as possible with your tools and the condition they were in. But on the other hand, getting a second opinion and an update on what might possibly improve performance was always a good idea.

With that in mind, Evie had gotten the number of a new mechanic on the Island, and now pulled up outside the shop, her bike purring to a smooth halt before she stood and knocked on the door.*

Hi! I'm looking for Cate Meowdy? Heard you're good with bikes!

[To be quite frank the day had been long and sluggish. A few clients bringing in small stuff but nothing to give her a real challenge. But the sound of a bike outside caught her attention. This could just be another person bringing a kettle or toaster to fix or this person could be bringing something interesting]

[She kept an eye on the Door as Evie entered, giving a polite wave to her]

"You're looking at her! The one and only. I haven't had a bike in for a while but I can definitely help you. I'm good with vehicles. What is it you have in mind? A tune up or a service?"

"Awe thank you! It's great to meet you too. I wouldn't say I'm one of the best. There's definitely people more qualified but I appreciate your compliment"

"It's impressive I'll give you that. A very nice bike. I'll give her look over see if there's anything I can do. I've got some... Let's say experimental tech I can use to give it a boost"
