Alright so I've had a rework in my Husk theory and I don't know if this has been thought of before so don't think me to anything if it has been. Just reworking my theory on it because people argued the death dates not lining up in my old post. I think. Husk, who was an overlord gambled the souls he had on his leash and went to gamble with Alastor as a last resort type thing. Since he had no more souls to gamble (but his own), and he wanted to remain in power. He gambled his soul with Alastor in order to try to get the souls that Alastor had already claimed. Of course Husk lost his soul to Alastor and Alastor kept the souls he had + Husk's soul. Which would probably be a fair deal on Alastor's end seeing as Husk was an overlord. So he got his grubby weird hands on an overlords soul.

So.. If Husk was an overlord, and Alastor IS an overlord. Annd if Alastor's story is that he gained his power basically over night. What if he gained his power by gambling power with Husk? Just a theory. Please debate with me
