while he was born in bangkok, rome only lived there for a short while; both of his parents were fashion moguls and entrepreneurs, creators of a fashion line rivaling that of versace and gucci with luxury and taste, and provided him with essentially anything he could possibly want

rome hardly has any memories of thailand, only a few blurry bits here. his parents decide to move to beauhart, connecticut when he is three years old, a choice that many seemed quite odd, but for all the right reasons. a small town seemed the perfect place for their ‘base of operations’ - they received hardly any competition within the area, and in turn put beauhart on the map. the mayor was all too happy to welcome them there, and property value as well as tourism practically soared.

rome has an easy life growing up, but a troubled one nonetheless. beauhart is the only life he’s ever known, and despite himself coming from a point of considerable wealth, he deals with his own issues of sorts. his parents are enthusiastic and supportive in all he does, ecstatic when he signifies from an early age that he would want to follow in their footsteps - but they are oblivious, like most adults. rome is the talk of the town on most nights, and it isn’t unusual for him to be followed around by people with puppy dog eyes

when he’s younger he indulges in the attention quite a bit; he earns the ‘rich kid player’ title, wearing it as if it’s some type of award despite not quite understanding the meaning behind it. underneath the guise, though, lies the genius of an artistic child - school was never for him, but fashion always was, and it’s only a matter of time until such a fact catches up with him

rome is 17 when he’s hit with his first, and only to date, major ‘scandal’; always warm and inviting, he made many friends and trusted, as some would say, too easily. his parent’s often warned him of this, their wisdom in such events unheeded, and rome payed the price for such a thing. in the span of a night, someone he had concerned his best friend proceeded to go on social media and create a ‘call out post’ about rome - within it? every single secret, worry, and regret the heir had ever trusted enough to reveal. thankfully, rome was well loved by the majority, and with help from his parents ‘damage control’ was enforced. over time people forgot about the incident, but he never did, and as a result rome approached people with a much more guarded and unsure manner. he had matured well over his years, for better or for worse

he graduates high school and almost immediately denounces going to college - he’d learned far more than ‘higher studies’ could ever give to him, simply by assisting his parents in their workplace. his home in their family mansion situated just outside the town was decorated by sketchbooks, pencils and paint, designs taped across his walls and photographs for inspiration paired along with it. at 19, he had officially begun creating his outfits and accessories and publishing them out into the world - with a net worth of 1.9B, he had become the worlds youngest billionaire
