Well, I actually use a Win10 PC that can't update to Win11. I'm not very interested either, because they *are* pushing AI super hard with Win11.

I want to wait it out until either my current PC becomes unusable [which hopefully wont happen any time soon], or until Windows comes up with a better PC [based on performance AND maybe, for once, backwards compatibility].

I'm not particularly pleased with Microsoft right now, and if they don't come out with a better PC before I have recycle this one [which hopefully wont be for another 4-8 years], then I'll look into alternate brands like Linux, or MacOS.

Also, I heard that they somehow made File Explorer worse. Like so bad that people are installing their own file programs to replace the one shipped with Win11.

Honestly, I think it was sorta foolish of Microsoft to invest so much into this-- they're in so deep, and it's hurting their reputation a lot. I think most people only want a capable, and user-friendly PC, which shouldn't be too much to ask for when they charge ~$1000-3000 [USD] for it.

If you're on Windows 11 like I am for my "main" computer (in my case for school purposes and because I can't get Baldur's Gate 3 to play on Linux), then you might've seen this annoying piece of AI shit show up on your taskbar:

This is Windows Copilot, and it's fulled by the same shit ChatGPT is fuelled by. There is currently no way to uninstall it, but there is a way to deactivate it completely, which I've linked below. It's very easy, and it took me like, 2 minutes to do.
