I wish Robert tell us exactly why the lyrics of stairway to heaven bother him so much. All he says is that they just don't resonate with him anymore. That could be said for any of their songs. Why STH in particular? I'm so interested in this.

Ah yeah, she is also quite the sweetheart! I think they looked a bit alike in the seventies (like the hair and maybe a few other things) and about the early eighties, I read in hammer of the gods that they apparently met again I think maybe 1982/83 at the rainbow (not sure anymore) and that they kissed and talked about why he avoided her and so on. But in another book, trampled underfoot, phil carlo said that he saw how lori practically jumped onto jimmy as soon as she saw him at the rainbow and that jimmy said that charlotte would slaughter him if the pictures would come out! I think they were still together in that year but I‘m not really sure but even if it they where, I find it odd that he somewhat cheated again. If that is true, what was said in hammer of the gods about lori and jimmy.
I doubt they were together in the 80's, but I wasn't there so I don't know for sure.
She probably wanted him back and he wasn't interested anymore. I believe in the early eighties he and and Charlotte were really trying to make it work. Hammer of the Gods came out in 1985, so I imagine he was completely done with her after that. She gave the infamous on camera interview in the Pamela des Barres documentary. She has every right to speak out about it but I don't understand why she would if he was "the great love of her life". I know she meant well but YIKES. It made him look horrible lol

I agree that it shouldn’t have happened. In your recent post about lori you said jimmy should have saved himself and should‘ve married lori (hope I understood that correctly, I‘m from Germany so I‘ll probably won’t understand everything 100%!) I‘d like to know your opinion on that, too, like about the marriage part!
Mainly joking...
BUT if you're going to mess with a minor (don't), at the very least, stick to the bit and marry her. Though, I don't think he was in love with Lori. At least not like she was with him.
She is absolutely beautiful these days. I can only hope I age as good as her! She'll even sneak in a few Led Zeppelin posts every now and then, so you can tell that Jimmy/LZ still means something to her. She goes to a lot of LZ tribute concerts. I think it's cute. She's also very politically active, which is awesome!
I HIGHLY doubt they've been in contact since the early eighties. He is an extremely private person and will cut off just about anyone who speaks to the press about him.

Your opinion on lori mattix?
Hi! I literally just posted about her lol.
Here's my thoughts:
Jimmy should've never had a relationship with her. I think that's obvious. Thankfully, we know that she was never physically abused or coerced by Jimmy himself. For over fifty years she has continued to say what a gentlemen he was and that she really did love him. Her mom even approved of it (Yikes, but still) I do hate that she used the word "kidnapping" and "locked up" as a sort of funny anecdote. When she said those things, the Me Too movement hadn't happened yet, so she wasn't really weighing her words.
From what we know, that is the only relationship Jimmy ever had with a minor. He has only been in relationships with women his age or in their twenties since. So the accusations of him "sleeping with hundreds of children" I see on Tiktok is bullshit and unfounded.
While it doesn't excuse it AT ALL, it is important to remember that Jimmy was not the only one to mess with these young groupies. David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Elvis Presley, and Steven Tyler are a few. The difference is that their girls never spoke out the way that Lori did. I think because she loved (admired) him so much, she got overexcited and wanted the world to know.
I know it's probably for the best that she's stopped giving so many interviews, but if he's the great guy that she claims he is, she needs to clarify that more publically. Hopefully, before he passes.

Jimmy Page, NME Interview, April 13 1973
Interesting lore behind this photo:
Nick Kent (The interviewer): "I asked about the nonappearance of the Lucifer Rising soundtrack and had said something quite innocuous about it. Kenneth Anger, the director of the movie, sent him a letter with the picture from the NME with a skull and crossbones drawn on the mug of tea he's about to drink. And Jimmy is absolutely freaked.”
