I really just loved drawing this page. This scene required me to capture a moment of love and intimacy between a father and his son. It was a challenge and I had to dig deep. I really hope I did it justice.

I first met @thenealadams in 2007 at NY Comicon. I didn't have a lot of money at the time and I really wanted to get something from him and see if he would sign it. He did charge for his signature. I know the art pieces in the portfolio having seennthem.before but had just enough money to just get the calender. I told him that I only had enough money for the calender not the signature. He let me speak to him about how much he inspired me as a kid wanting to draw comics and asked him.process questions which he graciously answered. He ended up signing the front of the calender and I told him I would never peel the wrapper. He looked at me as if to say sure kid.
