is there any way to save Juna?

Hey! Juna’s death has significantly far-reaching consequences for the entire story (and will impact many characters in some way). So, unfortunately, Juna’s death cannot be avoided. I could write an alternate version where she lives , but then I’d probably never actually finish the story. 😅

Can we get a choice to want to get revenge for Juna’s death in the future? I was thinking about how when the MC is asked what they want to be in the future they might choose to become a soldier to become strong enough to get justice against the people who had her killed.

Hey! Yes, there will be a path where your MC can choose to seek revenge for Juna. I originally planned for that choice to come up around Chapter 3 or 4 (though your MC will still be able to deviate from or double down on it later), but I like your idea, so I’ll add an earlier option in Chapter 2 where your MC can express that desire too (either openly or just to themselves). i am so ready for my poor mc to go through heart-wrenching love for Nemio. Those new scenes are just mwah. The amount of angst oh gosh. I actually shed tears for my mc like actual tears.

New update!!

Hey everyone!

I hope you're all doing great! Just wanted to let you know that I've finally uploaded the revised Chapter 2!

This update brings 80k additional words of new variations and adjustments to better fit the Chapter 1 rewrite, rewritten text, and new choices. There are a lot of new variables, so you will need to start a new save to play the update.

What's new?

The previously locked WIP choices are now fully playable!

Reconnect with Iris if you met her in Chapter 1.

For those of you who asked the blacksmith in Chapter 1 to forge a weapon for you, you'll finally be able to "get acquainted with it."

There's also a new optional dynamic in Iris's route. I don't want to give too much away, but let's just say it's connected to the path where your MC cuts ties with their mother.

A new optional scene with Nemio where you'll get to dig a little deeper into who he is and maybe even uncover some clues about the Council's rather sudden decision.

A new subplot where your MC can develop a one-sided crush on Nemio—and more!

On a more technical note, I've done my best to squash any bugs I could find, but if you spot any inconsistencies, errors, or things that seem off, please let me know!

I had to temporarily cut the new Zenon relationship options—they needed more development, and I didn't want to delay this update further (plus, I really wanted to continue the story). Don't worry, though—I'll add them later (likely after Chapter 4). While I don't plan to revisit this chapter for at least the next two chapters, I'd still love to hear your thoughts. If you have any feedback, critiques, or suggestions, feel free to share them with me!

Monthly Progress Update #11

Hey everyone! First off, sorry for vanishing (again 😅) - life decided to throw work, university, and general chaos at me all at once. But I'm back now, and I've got updates (both good and…well, a little less good).

The Good News:

The Chapter 2 revision is almost done! Despite the silence, I've been steadily chipping away at it, and I'm confident it'll be ready next week. That means I can finally dive into Chapter 3 - something I've been itching to do for some time.

The Not So Good News:

To get here, I had to make some cuts, the biggest one being the new Zenon relationship/opinion options. For now, that part is shelved.

In short, those scenes ended up being more complex than I expected. Rewriting them would've basically meant creating entirely new scenes with their own set of choices and branching paths, and honestly? I hit a wall. Between a looming burnout and my eagerness to just finally move forward, I decided it's better to add them in a future update (likely after Chapter 3).

I know it's not ideal, but I'd rather deliver a solid revision now than keep everyone waiting even longer while I drag my feet with those Zenon scenes. I hope you all understand - and don't worry, Zenon's new content will happen! Just…not this update.

I like the idea too! I don't see anything strange in the fact that MC might have a crush on Nemio. MC is a teenager and teenagers sometimes have innocent first crushes on people older than them too. Especially if such a person impressed them in some way.

Btw. if this option was in the game, would Nemio be aware of MC's feelings? Could they keep it a secret? I imagine my MC would be very embarrassed lol.

Hey! Yeah, it's usually a fleeting thing that most grow out of in time, though, of course, the MC can choose to keep going down that route… but I'll just say it won't lead anywhere happy. To answer your question: I'm sure Nemio would pick up on the MC's strange behaviour - he’s far too perceptive not to - but he would probably write it off as simple admiration rather than actual romantic interest. So yeah, the MC will be able to keep their real feelings a secret (especially if your MC is the stoic type) or choose to confess them outright - your choice. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 😊

1st on the Nemio thing i didnt know anyone would want him to he an RO. Like idk.. but i could be wrong isn't he like significantly older than MC? Or am i smoking my socks there?

I've always just seen him as a big older brother/uncle/mentor vibes. Not anything romancy. It just personally feels alil iffy to me. Plus I'm pretty sure he's still inlove with that other lady anywaay.

But i digress the real reason i wanted to send this is because i died at the description someone made for Barnabas being like an untrained chihuahua 🤣🤣

It's so weird how different he is when you meet his in the stables compared to at the party. He just seems so much sweeter to mc. Idk if that's a lil bit of a mask but his hot and cold there makes my soft mc confused but like him more.

Yeah, it's been a surprise for me, too—though I also never expected Nemio to become such a popular character! 😄 You're absolutely right: he is 15 years older than the MC, which is why I also had some reservations about it at first. Some players don't mind the age gap or his role in the MC's life, but I totally get how it could feel uncomfortable to others.

Just to clarify: Nemio will never be an RO—he can't and won't reciprocate the MC's feelings (if they develop any)—but I liked the idea of a one-sided crush as an optional subplot. The MC is still young, and after what they've been through, it's not far-fetched for them to confuse gratitude (for Nemio saving them) or admiration for something deeper.

As for Barnabas: That chihuahua comparison lives in my head rent-free—it's painfully accurate. 😄

Monthly Progress Update #10

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great March! 😊 I know I'm a little late with this post…life decided to keep me busier than usual, but the Chapter 2 revision is coming along nicely. Last month, I added around 22k extra words, wrapping up most of the new scenes and WIP choices. Right now, I'm focused on polishing everything and finishing the new Zenon relationship variations (so you're not forced to be friends with him from the start if you don't want to). And as voted in the last poll, the small, optional side plot with Nemio will also be included in this chapter. I won't lie, though: I'm racing to get this done as quickly (and efficiently) as possible because—honestly?—more than half of my brain is already itching to dive into Chapter 3. But don't worry, I'm being careful not to let that eagerness affect the quality. Thanks for all your support, I can't wait to share more with you soon! 😊

Barnabas is so funny on the route where he assumes you’re a stableboy, I mean he gets SO pissed at you but like. You truly did this to yourself, my guy. 😂 What a wonderful little undersocialized chihuahua of a man. I want to study him.

Monthly Progress Update #9

Hey everyone! I hope February treated you well! 😊

The progress of the Chapter 2 revision is going very well—I've added roughly 18k words so far. While most of my focus has been on finishing the WIP choices, here are some other additions you can expect:

There's a new optional scene with Nemio where you'll get to dig a little deeper into who he is—and maybe even uncover some clues about the Council's rather sudden decision.

For those of you who asked the blacksmith in Chapter 1 to forge a weapon for you, you'll finally be able to "get acquainted with it."

There's also a new optional dynamic in Iris's route. I don't want to give too much away, but let's just say it's connected to the path where your MC cuts ties with their mother.

Some parts have been tweaked or expanded to better align with the changes in Chapter 1. For example, there's new dialogue for those of you who met Iris earlier in the story—and more!

I'm holding off on setting a firm release date for now, but if things keep moving at this pace, I'm hoping to have the update ready sometime in April.

About the Poll:

A few of you asked if Nemio could become a romance option in the future, and I'm still sticking with no—it just doesn't fit his character for reasons I can't fully explain yet. However, someone suggested an optional one-sided romance (which the MC might grow out of over time) subplot between the MC and Nemio, and while I was unsure at first, I think it's actually an interesting idea. It could fit perfectly with the new Nemio scene I've written.

But since I promised to check with you all first, here's the poll! Let me know what you think.

As for your question, yes, the MC can have children later in the story if they choose to. The exact number isn't set in stone yet, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

I think there's bug.

I chose the options: Face, meet floor -> Come on, think! (Intellect +1) which leads to meeting Lucius and then the father. This scene ends with:

Come on, let's get out of here," he says, his grip firm as he starts leading you away from..

But after that there is a scene with lost MC who came across Juna.

It's not that I dislike Barnabas, but his behavior confuses me. I don't know how he got the impression that my MC felt superior to him. And for some reason, flirting with him just makes him angry? I don't get it.

Barnabas definitely has a bit of a chip on his shoulder, which affects how he perceives the MC. He has his reasons for reacting the way he does (reasons that will be explained later in his route), but with the right amount of patience, his attitude—and his perception of the MC—might change over time.

I appreciate Julia, and the new version feels remarkably vibrant. I also really love how detailed it is; like looking at weird, exotic animals, which was fun. Just good world-building

Since my MC also have blonde hair and always causing mischief 24/7 with julia and Zenon. I always see people referring to them as the BBB also known as The Bad, Blonde, Bandit gang when they were younger.😂🤭
