I couldn't get rid of the desire to draw him as a priest

As a matter of delirium -> theoretically, Ominis could run away from his family to the church after graduation, because no one would even think to look for him there…

It seems sad, but for some reason I think that he might even like this 🤔

With such a character, it seems like it would be right up his alley. Wizards don't even have a concept of religion, so the question here is not about piety, but rather about counting on a quiet life ☝️

Synopsis: My MC's most honest reaction to her first battle against humans... Emotional damage.

Quick oneshot.

A shallow inhale. A heavy exhale.

A weak inhale. Another heavy exhale.

One more breath.

And another.

Shouts of poachers. The crunch of breaking bones. The screech of metal. Explosions.

She was shaking. She didn’t want this. She never wanted this.

They left her no choice...

Breathe in. Breathe out.

But.

That but nestled deep inside her soul, whispering vile things.

That she liked it.

The thrill of the fight. The adrenaline surging through her veins, making her heart race.

The way her very being filled with that ancient, silver-tinged energy — fluid and alive.

The way the old magic pooled in her wand, bursting out as blinding lightning that scorched her enemies to ash.

The way their shattered bodies slammed into the ground.

No!

Her knees buckled, dropping her onto the frostbitten earth.

Breathe in. Breathe out.

Noelle clutched her head in both hands, tears falling in heavy drops, catching the pale pre-dawn light, melting tiny craters into the frozen soil.

She squeezed her eyes shut.

Lavender fields.

A sharp, sweet scent.

Blazing sunlight.

The salty wind.

Breathe in. Breathe out.

This wasn’t the price she was willing to pay for her magic.

She didn’t want it — not like this.

I really want to write some short story about how these two climbed on the piano in the Slytherin common room for a public kiss on a dare. Which in those days was considered the height of indecent behavior p.s. I really like adding such historical details. But for now I'm content with just the picture.

good afternoon, little people in my phone.

When I was little, fandom spaces were everything to me. I consumed fanfiction, and the interactions between authors and readers were something I coveted at that rather lonely age. I had no idea just how deep fandom culture went, having only joined social media in my later teen years and actually getting a Tumblr account during COVID. I was an A-grade lurker, and never imagined I'd ever be one of the voices interacting with fandom, least of all making friends.

In my short stint actually putting my work out there, I've made so many incredible friends and been exposed to so many life experiences, stories, and cultures. The one unifying thing is how deeply kind everyone has been.

So, I've been wanting to make this post for a while. My favorite people, artists, writers, and new faces that keep the fandom going.

I am honored that there is a lot of overlap between incredible fic writers and friends of mine, so I'll focus on their writing. If I start talking about their qualities, this will be a much longer post.

Authors who are new/ I don't see hyped enough, who write absolute underrated bangers: @rambling-tam, @anominym @ravenwind-75 @elisalsaa @seb-in-the-shadows, @rosewoodcafe @amethystandemma, @fanfiction-she-wrote @spookybriecheese @sharlotscarletfox, @rypnami, @libellule-ao3 @butternutt613 (MY BELOVEDDD), Bree (who wrote Kindred, Legacy, and Yearning) and this one writer on tumblr who wrote an absolutely FIRE fic of Ominis, MC, and Sebastian in the scriptorium. I remember commenting on their fic and asking to be put on a taglist BUT I CAN'T FIND IT RAHHH (EDIT: IT'S @cafechichay !!!) I am going to keep adding to this list, trust. Also @shyamanuensis of COURSE <3

My headcanon is that Ominis will probably name his daughter Noctua.

She will be the most adorable and most spoiled creature, I tell you.

After a long discussion with my good friend, I was so inspired that I decided to draw them. Don’t know about historical accuracy (probably not), but the attire is definitely for walk.

And in my HC Ominis will still successfully escape abroad with his beloved, away from his crazy relatives, and will live happily ever after.
