Raegon Neurodivergent Thoughts

Few years ago, I once had a Scream brainstorm session with another Scream rper where I headcanoned Randy as au-dhd (inattentive) and they headcanoned Stu as adhd (hyper-active). At times, they bit or chomped at each other when seeking comfort, feeling irritated, or emotional dysregulation reasons. Yes, this was an au where Randy and Stu were buddies prior to the fiasco. Came as a surprise as I hadn't expected another (figured they were ND after the fact) to not only have that hc but also bond with me about it, in a Scream rp. So I sat here and thought about an Aegon rper (who might be ND) who may headcanon him as adhd with my Raelon who is au-dd and they too may share that aspect in their dynamic.

Although depending on whether the Aegon rper prefers to touch or avoid show Aegon's exertion facet (everyone is different. I always try to take into account as many details as possible regarding Aegon rpers so all can be acknowledged. You can find more in my ideas & dynamics post!), if you are the one to touch on it then I imagine tackling this adds yet another dimension to explore between a neurodivergent displaying a genuine act of his ND but also a deviant taking advantage of a situation. Raelon wouldn't be able to pinpoint at first, this part of Aegon's manipulation, but with given time, he would pick up the pieces, noticing which expression is which by peering into Aegon himself rather than surface cues. Down the road, conversation about this serious occurrence are sure to make there way between them.

Have been dmed a few times if I am still searching. As a result, I've chosen to create this in both blogs. No, there is no expiration for Aegon ii rpers / muse specifically. As I am constantly on the lookout for them. Gotta collect them all! Regarding the rest, I will put a slash through them if it no longer applies. Yes, I am a pro/neutralshipper and a comshipper. DNI if that is an issue for you. Keep in mind, have not read the books.

There's Velvet in the Inquisitive, Didn't You Know? - Raegon

"Are you, now? Forgive me, brother. Your round cheeks tend to be a distraction from such a development, that Aegon had matured at all. No, no, of course not. Who could baby a future king? A weight too heavy for soothings, no?"

Raelon mocked with an air of gratification, raising his wine glass in a false gesture of nonchalance. He knew he was riding dangerous waters too eagerly. After all, he hadn’t truly been speaking of the cheeks on Aegon's face. However, no one else at the table needed to know that. It was an easy excuse if you thought about it. Aegon did in fact have the cherubic face to make it believable. In any case, Raelon hardly noticed how he had shifted closer against the tablecloth, drawn toward Aegon without thought.

To dismiss Aegon's suspicions as drunkness would be foolish. No, he had caught onto him a bit. Whether it be the whores that lingered on his primal twin, a false sense of warmth Raelon had peered into or the silent understanding once shared between the fireborn twins when no one else dared intrude. But what would his sweet gremlin of a twin think? Raelon could deny and redirect it to their childhood to throw Aegon off his trail. It was far better to bask in sentimentality than allow Aegon to know he was stalking him to this eerie extent.

"Well, I care for you too dearly, brother. We are two halves, after all. It’s only natural I concern myself with such matters. As for your sights or rather fruits of your labor, we’re all aware, Aeg. That is the brother I know, good and well."

Raelon teased, drawing out certain puzzles, edged with mockery as he leaned in close enough so they shared air. To top off the nice little act, Raelon lifted his free hand and gently rubbed Aegon’s cheek, only to pull it away a moment later, just before his touch held any permanence.

A small excerpt from a personal Raegon rp. So what's the context?

Viserys insists on another grand supper. As always. Like scheduled appetites could bind blood. Aegon tries to behave. No bastard jabs. No eye jokes. He’s grown, remember? Allegedly. But attention is a drug and he’s twitching for a hit. He leans in. Grins. Says Aemond's socket looks hardly appropriate. That he can't stomach another bite. Appetite gone. Then Raelon swoops in. Of course. He slides into Aegon’s seat. A trade that flew past the elder twin before he could rebuke. Aegon's to Helaena's direction now. Raelon's charm is like arsenic. Gives Aegon that look. The one that knows and dares and invites. He teases. It's Raelon, no? Coos about Aegon’s sweet little cheeks. Oh, but not the baby face the Gods gave him. No, it's Aegon's shapely behind. Raelon’s voice dances. Everyone assumes he's being innocent. They always do. Well, except their beloved mother whose fork could be heard. But he continues. Sees that wickedness brimming in Aegon. In Raelon's good nature, brings up the coddling. Agrees with Aegon, in truth mocking him, about having outgrown it. Aegon tosses it back. Calls the family too cold to know that skill anyway. Why wouldn't he learn quick. Just then, Aegon, always leaving them on their toes, jabs at his dear twin's stalking habits. Accuses him of maybe even obsessing over him. Taunts him about his sexual exploits. Raelon watches him, doesn’t he? Of course he does. Even dreams. Raelon smiles. Doesn’t deny a thing. Doesn't give in neither. Instead, he leans in but barely. Breath warm on the cheek of his twin flame. Words dipped in velvet and tension. Says it’s the twin thing. Aegon knows this melody. Cosmic. Intertwined. Implies he knows the string Aegon is yanking here. Knows what he wants. For a second, really quite minuscule, he hovers. Raelon draws back after. Let’s Aegon smolder. And waits to see if he’ll scorch. Light him up like old times. It's a wonder Alicent hasn't had a fit by now. But you can taste the air. It's changing.

This is my lazy explanation. A bit choppy. Hadn't motivated myself to beta it. Some Raegon for you.

Dark Raegon Thoughts

"Bad Mouth" by 2_ticky is INCREDIBLY Raegon coded (the nsfw positions Larys and Aegon were in, is irrelevant to the topic, but the psychology is crucial). That is if Raelon went truly reptilian. Keep in mind, I don't prefer to rp Raelon with a thawed, grimily, cannibalistic, heart where one has to squint to see any flash of blood so I MUST be in the mood to do so.

Let's say there's a universe out there where Raelon and Aegon were twin dragons of stars initially aligned. However, Alicent cleaving between them, caused Aegon to venture his wings to the "finer things" in an attempt to escape suffocation, this in turn prompt Raelon's wings to camouflage into "higher needs" in an attempt to escape self-estrangement.

As is customary with all Raelons (I can't write a sane mf), they truly lock into their twisted empathy and/or manipulative side once the tween years hit. Still, deep inside, there lingers a Raelon who consoles from the heart even if his brand of love curdles into venom for Aegon at times due to his cunning ways. To his mother, Raelon appeared to be reptilian. But for all others, he is a voyager, a curious soul, a consultant, a guider, a beacon, many many things. The moon itself grows fuller, basks in the glow, for these Raelons.

But with the Raelon in this peculiar universe, as the tween years hit, he transformed into a wanning moon, lights dimming, the warmth he once had, dropped to sub zero, and by then, he had metamorphized into the scaled breed Alicent predetermined him to be. This Raelon had accomplished a greater fear than just mere estrangement, the creature as flakey as the masks he wore, ate himself and discarded the remains, annihilation.

So now, the webs Raelon spins around his golden prize, the gleam of Avalon, feel more like a strangulation of Aegon’s light than a bond. Can this ghastly being consider himself an empath of any kind? No. Not at all. The fiend drains his twin to sustain his own needs while framing this as Aegon's revitalization through their symbiosis.

Still, I shall admit. Aegon managing to quench a part of Raelon is a feat beyond reasoning despite the frost in Raelon's insidious intentions drafting through the Raegon of this universe. And in classical Raelon fashion, he makes himself indispensable no matter how factitious.

Raegon Rp Ideas & Dynamics

Assume all of these to be Raegon twin dynamic.

In every universe, Raelon will be obsessive about Aegon. Whether that be covert or overt.

Some Aegons love being a free bird while other Aegons want to be possessive over Raelon, whichever is you, I greedly accept!

In some universes, Raelon is a grey-aroace who really only feels due to Aegon's existence (bonus points if: Aegon has insecurity of being unlovable).

In other universes, Raelon is a fake prude (same as above but with an edge) despite wanting hypersexual Aegon.

They are both snarky so there's no specific universe for that.

Raelon is audd/neurodivergent in every universe so no specifics. Aegon seems adhd coded but I respect if some don't like nor agree with that.

Raelon stay with that boymummy / parent role and Aegon loves attention so no specific universe for that.

More on the Aegon side of things, but bratty Aegon has a special place in my heart (Raelon will pretend he doesn't like Aegon's attitude but he does. Trust). Not all rpers portray him this way so I thought to add this.

A universe where Raegon are both moody insufferable mfs but they hide behind different excuses for their moodiness. Again, I've been in a situation where I could sense that an angst (?) rp wasn't their cup of tea (which is fine! I can accommodate).

Hannibal! Raelon x Will! Aegon (more so the "serial killer showing his art to the one" vibe than a Hannibal AU since I don't know much about it).

This is for trans Aegon rpers but trans m! Aegons are welcomed if you would like to insert yourself. I'm not about that anti-self insert, anti-"if it doesn't make sense", pro-canon purist, crowd.

Some are uncomfortable playing certain canon elements about Aegon. For those not, I viewed a post a while back about how invasive Aegon was towards Aemond (for example). It read to me if he was exerting a layer of control or posession even if Aegon seems leisure or just some fool. Therefore, to the Aegons who want to explore those facets with Raelon, feel free!

Raelon finding EVERYTHING wrong with guys he tries to get into (who resemble Aegon) so it never has a sensual element.

Perhaps in some universes, Raegon are switches even if it hadn't begun that way.

Raegon in some southern gothic plot.

Raegon in a psychological gothic, psychological drama, or hell, both plot.

Raegon in a scifi psych-thriller (think Don't Worry Darling) where Raelon's like "why is this shit repetitive?" and Aegon's like "1 - you're mental and 2 - who cares?"

Raegon is a MODERN UNIVERSE. I required this in bold since I haven't been able to explore with an Aegon how things would be in a modern setting.

Either Ancient Rome or Greek Mythology setting Raegon.

No doubt a purely self-indulgent post. If I think of more self-indulgent things since some folks may be interested in it, I'll update this.

Raelon is more reclusive and contemplative than Aegon, who is a free spirit and enjoys life's little pleasures. Though Raelon is curious at heart so he has ventured beyond King's Landings walls. Raelon struggles with feelings of abandonment and jealousy as he and Aegon's relationship, which was previously inseparable as children, becomes strained as Aegon adopts a more careless and materialistic lifestyle at age 9. The fact remains to Raelon that Aegon is his and he is Aegon's in spite of this.

As twins, they have a strong relationship that transcends earthly sentiments. They are able to sense each other's emotions in ways that no one else can, perhaps akin to beloved bonds between dragons and their riders. And naturally as twins, they intrinsically feel wrapped in one another's soul as umbilical cords by ordained intervention. Their toxic relationship is marked by Raelon’s fear of losing his hold on Aegon, and Aegon’s fear of being bound. Their relationship is suffocating yet essential to them for in truth, they have a greed to be engulfed by the other though both twins realize the fullness this entails at different points in life.

Regarding dragon and rider, Raelon's blanket of security and just as much of his world is his colossal dragon, Freza the Dreadfrost. He viewed Freza as far more human than said creatures, both often attentive to the other, a bond of familial love. It would appear that Raelon and his little brother, Aemond, both had giants within the Greens family. Still, Vhagar was erratic and at times unpredictable even to Aemond. It reflected his nature, after all. Freza, while ginormous (only second to Vhagar), was sly as his rider, and rode the skies as if he were merely an eel slithering the surface of the sea.

Raelon is seen by others as an intellectual, chameleonic, slippery, a bit sassy or snarky, even flirtatious (a misinterpretation), apart from his varied personality traits. Unlike Helaena or Aemond, he is not inherently closed off nor prefers to be! Raelon became selectively mute since his ideas were seldom respected because they were typically impractical. This gives the impression that he is distant yet once he feels comfortable doing so, he is surprisingly communicative. Unfortunately, Raelon never properly bonded with his aloof younger sister, Helaena, his poised younger brother, Aemond, and his estranged yet heart of gold younger brother, Daeron who spent most of his life in Oldtown. So one could say his main loyalties lay with Aegon, his twin brother. Due to the house divide, this disconnect with his siblings had been the same case in relation to his elder half sister, Rhaenyra.

Raelon has no drive for power nor people's attention. He would represent an abstract kind of sloth, out of the limelight but watchful eyes. If Aegon numbs himself in materialism, Raelon numbs himself in abstract pursuit. In fact, Raelon is rather lazy despite his demeanor or clothing style which people wrongly assume him to be intelligent or competent, two things he is not (however, he is intellectual). Due not him having no lust for power nor seeking the socialite, he would most likely do well as a master of whisper as Raelon is jaggedly cunning and switches his facets ever subtly upon his company. So much so, that the chameleon emerges from its slothful, ever blending, ways. Predominance in dark impulses and false graces. No one truly knows who Raelon is aside from his twin, Aegon. And similarly, Raelon knows Aegon's essence like no other.

Despite being oblivious to his own feelings, he approaches other people's psychology with a great degree of observation and analysis. As a result, Raelon spent portions of his development years blossoming a friendship with none other than Larys Strong - another individual skilled in the art of human nature, attempting to fill a void left by Aegon's growing absence to hedonism. Alicent had deterred Raelon plenty of times, exacting one punishment after another, advising Raelon not to dwell with the wicked man (despite them requiring his aid), even blaming some of Raelon's natural tendencies actually stemming from his friendship with Larys, yet it fell on deaf ears every time.

By now, Raelon had been accustomed to Alicent's melodrama with her coldness towards him at times - him being a reminder of men she couldn't escape from (Viserys and Larys), and her disapproval and distaste of his odd bond with Aegon prior to Larys, to which she employed similar punishments and considered Raelon to be a distraction from Aegon's duties. This did leave a mark and became the inspiration behind Raelon's "paternal" (mother) facade, finding that this way he could remain in Aegon's life. He controls Aegon at times (fetching him from the brothels when Aegon is needed on the throne) while also acting as his anchor, preventing him from drifting ashore. Raelon tends to convince Aegon that he is incapable of taking care of himself by pretending that he must take care of him.

This is not to say that Raelon had only taken inspiration from Alicent's insults. Conversely, Raelon had already festered a desire to replace Alicent in Aegon's eyes when he had witnessed, after Aegon and he withdrew from one another's world, how desperate Aegon pinned for their mother's praise and approval. The way Aegon clawed at her for scraps of approval infuriated Raelon. As though he was incapable of giving Aegon the haven he craved. In response, his own controlling tendencies took shape. It caused him to feel resentment towards Alicent as Raelon did not receive nearly the same overt obsession Aegon demonstrated with their mother. Raelon's warmth which was once pure, became poisoned and laced with manipulation.

In terms of Raelon's sexuality, one would think him to be aromantic and asexual as he shows no romantic or sexual attraction to anyone. But Raelon does not consciously recognize his attraction to men, largely because his relationship with Aegon exists outside of conventional definitions. He sees it as ordained, something beyond human comprehension, something no one else would understand. This also causes turmoil within their relationship since Raelon has a habit of speaking in riddles instead of straightforwardly admitting to his attraction. For example, if others kiss, they are interested in each other and Raelon knows this. If he and Aegon kiss, they are simply reconnecting as two bodies within one soul. On top of this, while Raelon is an emotional inclined, it doesn't often translate that way as his emotions seem objective and disjointed from his person. As a result, Aegon has criticized him before for swallowing his own feelings even if Raelon may not feel it that way. Aegon's outward feelings are more primal and instinctual than Raelon's which is what causes this divide.

Like his brother, Raelon had his own vices, darker ones, that he developed as he grew bolder within his teenage years. If Aegon was a serial mawhore, Raelon was a serial killer (even by 100s A.C. standards). These activities were never physically sexual, often missing from the piece if one did not try to look closely at the metaphor's intimate nature. In fact, they were works of art and left for the inspiration behind his art to see, none other than Aegon himself by design. What can we say? Cestial Royals, am I right? Or perhaps it is merely a Greens thing! Who is to say.
