I was messing around while I was curled up on my bed and I accidentally figured out that we have a reflex point right above our heel apparently

I’m having to use a candle for light rn because the storm outside took the power out and it’s soo weird knowing that these used to be one of the most common sources of light

Cookie was the most petty, determined, and conniving dog I’ve ever had and I loved that about her

she passed yesterday and I miss her soo much so here are some of my favorite memories about her in no particular order

Back during 2020 I used to sleep in a room that has doors you just push/pull to open and she managed to figure out that if she ran at them they would open and since I would always stay up late I’d be the last person in the house to wake up so everyday she would bust down the door so she could curl up on the bed with me

I don’t even know why but she HATED my sister and went out of her way to come all the way upstairs just to pee right in front of her door on a daily basis for at least a month just to be petty

She also had a habit of trying to eat just about anything she could find and one time I caught her trying to chew off the corner of my of the bricks in our backyard

There was also the time that she followed someone into the pantry and they accidentally shut her in there and instead of trying to claw at the door or bark to let us know she was in there she just sat there, in the dark, chewing her way through the rind of the watermelon and I don’t know how long she was in there but by the time we found her she had gotten to the red bit (she was a yorkie for some size perspective)

We got her and my family’s chihuahua Chloe at the same time and they would both get sooo jealous of each other but didn’t care about attention otherwise (You could have literally called one of their names and they would refuse to look at you and you could hear the other one making their way across the hardwood floors to get to you)

I never really brought her in my actual room because I like to keep my door shut but a few weeks ago I let her in here right after I gave her a bath and she loved rolling over onto her back to rub herself against the carpet but I wasn’t thinking and I put her down for not even 2 seconds so I could fix my blankets and watched in horror as she managed to get from one side of my room to the other rubbing herself against the carpet the entire way in the span of about 5 seconds

She would also do the same thing with towels and any blankets she could find, drying off was always her favorite part of whenever I’d give her a bath

I wasn’t there to see it but my mom sent me a video of her while she was in the middle of playing tug of war with Chloe over a rope toy and she just decided to play dead while holding it in her mouth

Anytime I went downstairs in the middle of the night she would always get up to follow me around the kitchen and would wait until I went back upstairs to go lay back down so I started putting her in my little sister’s room (the one I used to sleep in) right before I went back upstairs because I didn’t want to leave her alone in the dark

If you stopped petting her and left your hand in reach or called her back while holding out your hand because she would start walking away she would gently play bite your hand (actually now that I think about it I never saw her do that to anyone else)
