Anon about black families

People’s reaction to your emetophobia is related to how compassionate they are - not what color they are. Why? Because even if a person doesn’t “get” emetophobia, if they’re compassionate, chances are they’ll be sensitive to the issue and understand that it’s a problem for you.

I’m black, I’ve gotten nothing but kindness and support when I’ve told people about it. I feel really badly for people who don’t get that. Feel free to send me a message if you ever need to.

Happy October! I don’t know about you, but I love a good horror movie. I like mine with lots of atmosphere, a good story line, a few jump scares here and there, and most importantly…likable characters that don’t v*! In honor of the month of all things scary, I have complied a list of clean horror films. At the bottom I also included a few horror movies that aren’t clean, but have easily avoidable v* scenes. These are all films that I have seen with my own eyes - I added to last years list and alphabetized.

Not Fully Clean But Worth It

The Babadook – Very triggering as son always “says” he’s going to be sick from medication, but he never does. At the end, mom is tied up in the basement and gets on hands and knees and v* a black substance.

The Descent – at the very end, close your eyes/look away when she riding in the car. She gets s* shortly after.

House of 9 – During party scene, you see girl look ill and run to bathroom in slow motion. I’ve seen this movie about 10 times but always look away so I don’t know whether it’s shown or not but you can look again once the music stops.

V/H/S 2 – Skip the entire second segment. Unforgivable.

The Visit – When girl says she wants cookies and starts to head downstairs just close your eyes and plug your ears until you hear her talking again.

Scream Queens Full 2hr Recap

This is listed in chronological order.

Chanel talks about scrubbing p* out of carpet when the maid is on the ground- nothing shown Once the girl who is getting spray tanned falls down she foams at the mouth and spits some of it out. It didn’t look like v* to me but could be triggering. Camera stays on her and you can see the tiny puddle. When ZayDay introduces herself to Grace she says - ‘someone p* in the sink’ - nothing shown. When the dean gets out of bed and talks to the guy she says “I’m gonna b* on your face unless you get out of here” - nothing shown.. Chanel sitting across from grace at coffee shop and says “it makes me wanna  p*” but again, nothing is shown All of this happens within the first hour. In the second hour you see/hear people eating gross things and talking about them, but there is no v*. If for nothing else, there were a couple funny parts and you get to see Nick Jonas working out whilst shirtless.

Don't sweat it. Everyone has different feelings, questions, and concerns. Reality is different for every person, and some people do indeed get nauseated from trying to cough up mucus. It happens, we're all different. This blog isn't based on scientific research and it's not run by Jesus. As with anything, people have to use some level of critical thinking and not take everything at face value.

Also, if you were that skeptical that the mucus thing might not be true, you should have done some research either before posting it or after the second person came in trying to debunk it.
