This is Scott from Changing Optics Seeing life through different lenses

today is a very special day it is the 5 year anniversary of my wife and I’s very first date

you see we met on memorial day weekend at a mutual friends party and there was a moment when Lindsey knocked a ping pong ball on the patio that i was hanging out on

when she reached up i held her hand and took a photo and that photo changed my life i knew as soon as i took it i was gonna cherish it forever that ear to ear smile

asking someone out on a first date is terrifying but asking someone who is into photography to go on a photo walk together

we went to New Hope on June 15 2012 i was shooting digital that day she was shooting film

half through our “photo walk” she ran out of film thats when i put my camera down and said the words that she knew SHE was gonna cherish forever

“theres more to me than just photography” and there is hopefully but it took being a photographer for me to see it

that date has now been 5 years of a relationship 3 years engaged going on 2 years being married

side note just because your married doesnt mean you stop being engaged and in 3 months we welcome a son

sorry if im getting choked up

but ultimately this is whats behind this little venture called Changing Optics i believe that by being a Photographer we can see things through different lenses

most importantly ourselves

it challenges me to to be a better friend a better husband and now a better father

Thank you Lindsey for coming on this journey with me i love you my wedding vow was to never leave your heart in a cardboard box collecting dust i hope im doing that
