Morgaine sat on the floor of her study, huddled up on the rug closest to the hastily lit fireplace that cast a dim glow throughout the room. Even in the low light it was plain to see she had entered in a hurry, her coat and her usual adventuring supplies scattered haphazardly throughout the cramped room.

She paused, bracing herself for a moment, before letting out a sharp hiss as she pulled out the last piece of glass that was embedded in her arm. She then began the slow and careful process of disinfecting and bandaging with the supplies she had stashed in there for times just like this. The Elezen was well aware she could ask the chirurgeon she had hired for the estate for help, but she was stubborn and licking her own wounds was something she preferred to keep a private affair.

A sharp knock on the worn wooden door to her study snapped her to her senses, and she tensed up for a moment, only letting her guard down when she heard the familiar voice of one of her retainers. “Pardon the intrusion, I don’t mean to interrupt but there's someone at the door . . .” The girl said meekly, her voice a near whisper.

“Tell them we’re closed.” Morgaine mumbled grumpily through the roll of bandages she was holding in her mouth.

“My lady please reconsider . . . it’s so cold tonight and it seems as if she’s travelled quite a ways to get here and –“ The retainer insisted.

“Fine . . . you win.” Morgaine grumbled, an exaggeratedly exasperated tone clear in her voice. She finished dressing the wound quickly and threw on a loose, dark shirt to conceal the bandages and tucked a small knife in her clothes just in case the visitor happened to be less than friendly. “This is what I get for surrounding myself with bleeding hearts . . .” She teased in an attempt to lighten the mood, bumping the retainer lightly with her uninjured shoulder on the way out of the room.

She walked through the halls towards the front door, pausing for a moment to peek out the window before cautiously opening the door just a crack. Morgaine gave the woman a quick look over, sizing her up in silence for a moment before she finally spoke. “Is there anything I can do to help you, traveler? Please excuse the caution, I know it must be hard to believe considering the 'picturesque' locale but we don’t get many visitors out this way.” The was a little smirk on her face as she poked fun at the state of her own estate, the coffers had been dwindling as of late and she hadn’t been able to afford a groundskeeper for some time so she was well aware the of the fact the manor looked more and more overgrown by the day. “And unfortunately not all our visitors come here with amicable intentions so I’ve learned the hard way it’s best to be careful about who you let into your home.”

I've decided to look for an RP FC as a home for Morgaine and some of my other girls on Balmung.

I'm mostly looking for light to medium RP and then some OOC content/social aspects. As for theme I'm not picky, just looking for something that catches my eye.

I also have a few others looking with me so there would be a few of us joining if we find something.
