Looong time no see! I've been pretty sick actually due to school stress so I've given up the 100 days of productivity and the #zoomesterstudyblr challenge :( Sorry!
The first graded thesis deadline is approaching and there's still a LOT to figure out and think about before I can even start writing my research proposal. The whole thesis process is so stressful and I truly want to experience it the way we're supposed to, but it's hard at the moment. On another note, I finally decided that I'm going to research rock music fandoms and the way that these are meaningful to fans! So yay, exciting :) This little music box with a tune from The Nightmare Before Christmas I've gotten from a friend is so cute and is very calming to listen to in between work sessions. I hope you're all doing well 💙

Happy International Women’s Day!
“The women we honor today teach us three very important lessons. One, that as women, we must stand up for ourselves. The second, as women, we must stand up for each other. And finally, as women, we must stand up for justice for all.” ― Michelle Obama

Anyone wants to become my friend's study buddy? :) She's great I promise
Looking for a study buddy!
Hello! I need to get through these last months of the years so: I am looking for a study buddy to do study sessions with, as I study better when I have someone else present and my friends are long not always available (especially in these times). You don’t have to study the same as I do.
Some things about me
I am 17 years old
I live in the Netherlands, so my timezone is CET, or GMT+1
I am in my last year of my equivalent of high school
My subjects Dutch, English, French, history, geography, philosophy, economics and math
I deal with mental health problems a lot, so some routine would help me a lot
I really like reading/listening to audiobooks, music, poetry, writing & videogames
I like to study either early in the morning or in the late afternoon or evening or night (just not late morning/early afternoon as I have to go to school)
I would love to make more friends and get to know people!
Please send me a signal of life if you are looking for a study buddy!

Zoomester studyblr challenge
I'm so excited to be part of an active challenge for the first time, wooo!! Thank you @progressaesthetics for organizing this :) I might make posts that merge several days into one post because uni is stressing me out so I don't have much time to be online whoops.
Day 1- Introduce yourself! What's some basic info you'd like to share about yourself? What are you studying?
My name is Chantal and I'm 21 years old. I'm Dutch and study arts and culture in the Netherlands! My hobbies include reading (oh my I looove reading, I'm reading my 14th book of this year right now), listening to music and going to concerts. Of course I also like hanging out with friends but I'm very much introverted so I also feel okay just spending the day at home ;) I'm bi, possibly autistic (working on getting diagnosed at the moment) with some other mental health issues going on as well, so studying is hard sometimes, but we keep on going!
Day 2- If you've chosen a major, why did you decide on it?
I guess my major just is my entire study programme, my university doesn't distinguish whether it's a major or not. I love studying arts and culture because I consider myself somewhat creative and I absolutely love everything that has to do with culture.

zoomester studyblr challenge day 1!
hey! i decided to do the super cool challenge I reblogged a few days ago, which starts today, march 1! so here goes:
Day 1- Introduce yourself! What’s some basic info you’d like to share about yourself? Also! What are you studying? (If you’re in college, what’s your major? which semester are you in?)
I’ve done a few intros before but my name is Ezra (as u could probably guess) and I’m a 23-year-old college student graduating next semester. I’m a history major, but I also love reading and learning languages. I’m bi and trans, so lgbt issues are obviously important to me, and I also have several mental illnesses, so my identity as a disabled student is also significant in my life. I’d love to get to know other people on here, esp other lgbt+ and/or disabled students!

27 February & 1 March 2021 | 14 & 15/100 days of productivity
Man the days are hard. There's so much stress that I'm physically feeling ill. Anyway, I managed to
▪ Read one article for sociology
▪ Do part of my thesis homework (we have to improve our first version of our homework after our supervisor gave feedback, but dang is this hard)
▪ Spent a grand total of 12 hours working on my cultural economics presentation. It's still not finished but we're almost there.
▪ Had two meetings about our cultural economics presentation and we'll likely have one more tomorrow
▪ Watched a lecture and summarized it

Zoomester Studyblr Challenge
Hi! I’m not a big creator on here but I always see Studyblr Challenges and I try my best to always take part (even tho i fail halfway) but this is my last semester at uni and I wanted to do a little something something.
Info
This challenge is starting on March 1st and contains 31 prompts (one per day of the month) but feel free to take part at any given time!
I initially aimed this challenge for all my struggling last semester/grad school/ thesis writing people BUT honestly, whatever your grade, this zoomester is crazy as it is.

Rules

There are daily prompts for 31 days but challenges should not be a burden to the way you post so you can post as frequently as you like/are able to.
Please be respectful. If some of the prompts ask for personal insights please have in mind that everyone has had different experiences and POVs.

26 February 2021 | 13/100 days of productivity
Okaaay today was so stressful. I managed to do a lot but I got feedback on my thesis homework which put me in a very bad headspace. I know feedback is good and honest feedback is evem better because then you can improve. I know this and I was always open for feedback, but now that I actually received it from my thesis supervisor I feel close to tears :( I STILL haven't decided on a specific topic to research and that makes everything even harder. I'm the worst at making decisions aaargh. Anyone got any tips? :(
Anyway, today I
▪ Had a zoom meeting in which my group and I made another presentation for our cultural education class
▪ Had another zoom meeting in which my group and I brainstormed for our huge cultural economics class presentation for next Tuesday. That presentation is going to be the death of me
▪ Read sociology required readings
▪ Read cultural economics required readings
▪ Read for fun at the end of the day. Wow, lots of reading.

24 & 25 February 2021 | 11 & 12/100 days of productivity
The past two days have been super productive. My brain even managed to keep working until 7 pm instead of checking out around 3 pm in the afternoon.
▪ I went to my economics working group and somewhat participated (woah, yeah really)
▪ Participated in my cultural sociology webinar and actually got an answer right so I guess I do understand the topics we're talking about :)
▪ Finally read all the readings for this week's economics class and started reading for next week. Next week I have to give a presentation of 30 minutes (!) so that's... depressing. I hate economics lol.
▪ Prepared ANOTHER presentation for my cultural education class. We seriously have to present every single week and those presentations aren't even graded so it feels like a waste of time. But ok.
▪ Added songs to my "Thesis Stress" playlist on Spotify heheh

22 February 2021 | 9/100 days of productivity
The weekend was a big mess mental health wise, so I was extra grateful that I got a little bit of energy & focus today and managed to
▪ Watch my cultural economics lecture
▪ Prepared another presentation for my cultural education class
▪ Worked on my thesis ideas! All things having to do with the thesis freak me out but today I finally worked on it for an hour (... and spent another hour creating a playlist that reflects my thesis stress lol)

12 February 2021 | 4/100 days of productivity
Today I
▪ Had a meeting with my group to create a presentation for our cultural education class
▪ Watched my sociology lecture
▪ Filled out so many questionnaires for therapy
▪ Cleaned my ferret's cage (which always somehow takes much more energy than I expect)
╔═══ -ˋˏ *.·:·.⟐.·:·.* ˎˊ- ═══╗
13 February 2021 | 5/100 days of productivity
I went for a walk with a good friend after reading just one chapter for my cultural economics class... whoops.
╔═══ -ˋˏ *.·:·.⟐.·:·.* ˎˊ- ═══╗
15 February 2021 | 6/100 days of productivity
I watched my cultural economics lecture and worked some more on the presentation for the next day.
╔═══ -ˋˏ *.·:·.⟐.·:·.* ˎˊ- ═══╗
16 February 2021 | 7/100 days of productivity
Today I
▪ Went to class
▪ Just... existed. Today was horrible and my brain was way too overstimulated. I couldn't pay attention in class and improvised the presentation. After class I had to lie down on the couch for the rest of the day which I felt really guilty about but I couldn't do anything. Just existing is necessary sometimes, I keep reminding myself.
╔═══ -ˋˏ *.·:·.⟐.·:·.* ˎˊ- ═══╗
17 February 2021 | 8/100 days of productivity
I went to class and managed to watch anothet lecture for sociology. Mental health wise it's all going downhill so I should be grateful that I still went to class and such. I am not proud of myself for doing so little but I have to keep reminding myself that this isn't my fault. It happened before in previous years and I have to give my mind some time to exhale. Hope you're all doing okay <3

Honestly idk whether I should write a lot about my day in posts for this productivity challenge or just stick to bulletpoints. How do people do this?? Anyway today I
▪ Watched a part of my sociology lecture
▪ Read an article in preparation for my Zoom meeting with classmates tomorrow
▪ Did all assignments for next week's cultural education class
▪ Went to the stores to get bird food and essential groceries

8 February 2021 | 1/100 days of productivity
I have officially survived the first day of the new semester. I am drained but also strangely motivated. The fact that I have to work on my thesis every day from now on is very daunting but I am determined to stay on track and not get behind. Today I managed to
▪ Watch my lecture on cultural economics
▪ Go to a cultural economics zoom meeting
▪ Read an article for tomorrow's thesis class
▪ Work on my thesis ideas
▪ Take a walk at 8 am (in the beautiful snow <3) and did a workout after I decided schoolwork was finished for the day
Whooo a good start of this challenge :)
