Two suggestions for ghostly abilities.

Humphrey: An ill omen. Yeah I know, sounds bleak. But the idea he can only be seen by people who are in imminent, possibly life threatening danger... Means in death, just as in life. He's still trying to help people. He's a spectral warning to be cautious. And in doing so, has saved further lives.

Thomas: I totally think Thomas should have the ability to communicate with people via spirit/automatic writing. It means he continues on being a 'master' of the written word in death. He'd probably adore proclaiming himself a spiritual muse..Whether or not his inspiration would be appreciated is another matter.
