5 ways to deal with constructive criticism as an artist.

This may not work for everyone but some of these tips I’ve heard from other artists over the internet including some of the things I’ve picked up in my experience as an artist has shaped my perspective on criticism and how to handle it.

In reality, criticism isn’t going to go away, but how you respond to that criticism makes you or breaks you. It definitely takes time to master though, don’t be too hard a yourselves and keep drawing.

The truth is, art does have value. It’s ALWAYS had value. Just look at the buildings you go to, look at the cars you drive, look at the beds you sleep in, look at the statues and architecture you ogle at, look at the technology you use. It all had to be drawn, drafted, 3D modeled by SOMEONE before it was manufactured.

Even AI itself was created by someone who mastered the art of coding.

Art is what we see and what we do everyday, just in different ways. It’s one of humanities greatest gifts and a blessing that we should never let go of, at least in my opinion. Once we begin the recognize that fact, maybe people would choose picking up a pencil over implementing prompts.

Had to make this random costume design. I took inspiration from some of the women who’d walk on Fremont Street in Vegas. I’m not exactly sure if it’s flashy enough but I hope it gets the job done!

Got inspired by an old tv show from the 80s so I felt like designing an 80s baddie inspired by one of the background extras who for some reason was dressed like a main character.

I’ll update this post when I figure out what the show is called!

This is her work uniform considering she’s a barista at the Nebula Cafe. She loves doing latte designs and crafting espresso shots that’ll have the biggest coffee snob wanting more.
