“Damn it, Ajax…” Mambo mumbled. The twins dragged him off to his bed, which wasn’t very easy considering his size. Still, they felt they should. 

Ajax had fallen asleep standing up, having stayed up all night studying (or trying to study) for a test. The poor teen had really been trying to even come close to getting good grades this year. Unfortunately, the highest grade he'd gotten in a "core" subject was a C-. He'd worked himself to the bone. {ajax-and-ajaxer}

Charles and Mambo didn’t really notice anything unusual when they first walked past Ajax’s room, though his unusual stillness had them do a double-take, taking a few steps back to his doorway. “Is he asleep?” Mambo asked.
