Relistening to all the old albums has seriously made me realize just why I fell in love with TS in the first place. Like the Speak Now (OV) genuinely does have more emotion and rawness to it that the TV just lacks in some songs. I’m hoping we get to see the OVs sold by her officially again so that I don’t have to try and hunt them down on eBay and at old music stores so that I can finally complete my CD collection (not including special editions that I’d like to hunt down)

i hate driving. here are the laws! if you break them there will be consequences! except youre also expected to break the law just a little bit. people will get mad at you if you dont. you dont have right of way but the person who does is waving you forward for some reason. here's the speed limit! it's not the speed limit, the actual speed limit is that plus ~5-10. the light is green but you're in the turning lane. can you go? should you have gone just then? the person behind you is honking at you. there's a weird noise coming from your engine; if you try to do the right thing and get it checked out, will you get scammed? you are driving a 1-2 ton metal machine rocketing at speeds unknown to humankind for most of history. around a million people die in car accidents every year; that's about one person every thirty seconds. if you take that seriously and try to drive safely then people get mad at you.

I keep having to remind myself that I go away to college (and therefore finally get to live not at home) in just a few months

and it’s not the reason you think. My parents aren’t incredibly toxic, and I’m not some moody teenager convinced she knows better than the adults around her

the reason is simply that my life has been structured around individuals who have neurodivergencies that work different from mine. My dad has OCD and my mom only JUST started getting her ADHD medicated. My life has been structured around how they work and function best (for the most part)

however, I feel that I may be different. I’m starting to think that once I’m out of the house and can live my life the way that suits me best, I’ll be able to thrive more. And maybe I’m wrong. Maybe I just need to adapt more and mold myself to the environment that has been created before me. But I just want the chance to learn if that’s true or not.

and I also cannot wait for the day that I can decide if I want my parents in my life. Because how they have raised me isn’t always the best. But that’s not something I can say and still rely on them financially. So just a few more months til I find my own structure, and hopefully a few years til I can decide who gets to be in my life and when.
