We've reached the final impasse! Though this would ordinarily be good news, the current list of social problems affecting everyday life is ill equipped to meet our needs, rights, or even basic privacy standards. (Note: Must be considered as an ordered list if you want all three.) Luckily, Big Tech is "totally willing" to intervene, and definitely just in all the good ways! Realistically, there's a lot more work that needs to be done if we want our Internet friends to prosper, and solar powered hubs in every city are an obvious first step.

Basically, corporations don't want you to answer your questions in a public setting. They want control of the press, control over what can be perceived as "normal," and the capacity to deviate from any real pressure by vilifying media for literally doing their job.

Of course, the Rally project itself is an amazingly good idea, but asking consent in a systematic capacity is where we already are as a culture. We've been manufacturing consent for ages, and the strict data control policies maintained by the project will actually end up weaponizing our own desire for privacy against us. Though it obviously wasn't the goal of any staff working on the project, it ultimately poses one, final, very terrifying barrier to entry for corporate inclusion:
