Tumblr media
Genre: angst, romance, smut Rating: M Warnings: swearing, sex, alcohol, a lot of flashbacks Pairing: rockstar!namjoon x violinist!reader Summary: As far as you were concerned, ex-violinists and highly-acclaimed rock stars weren’t supposed to mix, especially when a certain purple-haired rock star was supposed to just remain in your past. Word Count: 9.8k a/n: slightly inspired by uncontrollably fond, but the plot is different. shoutout to @sugarmints for the encouragement hihi  next chapter: chapter 2 | chapter 3
Fate has its way of bringing you back to where you’re meant to be in.
Or so, what they say. People say that when you’re meant to be somewhere, life thrusts you into that direction, even if you’re stubbornly against the idea. Even if you completely resisted from it, fate would disrupt your plans to make you give in, no matter what loss you’ll have to end up suffering with in the end. After all, that was the price to pay if you didn’t go along with fate’s plans.

The alarm from the electronic thermometer rang as Jin immediately took the thermometer from Jungkook’s armpit, checking the temperature displayed on the small screen.
“I could’ve done it myself…” Jungkook murmured to himself, waiting for Jin’s response. For some reason, Jin insisted that Jungkook was definitely sick, even if he felt okay.
“I’m pretty sure you’re gonna lie about the result and immediately turn off the thermometer to prevent me from seeing your actual temperature,” Jin voiced out his suspicion, which they both knew wasn’t actually one. Jungkook would have actually done that to prevent them from fussing over him and telling him to stay at home and rest.
But, they just don’t get it. Jeon Jungkook does not rest. He was always on the go.

The alarm from the electronic thermometer rang as Jin immediately took the thermometer from Jungkook’s armpit, checking the temperature displayed on the small screen.
“I could’ve done it myself...” Jungkook murmured to himself, waiting for Jin’s response.
“Anyways, it’s not that bad, right? So, I’m gonna change now and prepare for class-“ “39.1.” Jin had cut him off as Jungkook raised an eyebrow.
“... which isn’t so high, right? So, I’m just going to go change-“ Jungkook continued as he stood up from his bed, only to get pulled by Jin and thrown down on his bed.
“Ow, that hurt,” Jungkook muttered, massaging his sore arm.
“See! You’re definitely sick! Normally, I wouldn’t have been able to pull you down so easily, plus you’re complaining about a loose grip,” Jin insisted as Jungkook frowned.
So, maybe he was feeling a bit not like himself at the moment.
“How’s Jungkook?” Jimin popped his head inside Jungkook’s room as Jin sighed and shook his head.
“Our baby got himself sick with a 39-degree favor. God knows how Jeon Cena got sick, but it’s a miracle, I’m telling you.” Jin turned back to Jungkook, who was sulking in bed, still trying to figure out how to argue his way out so that Jin would allow him to leave the house. But, this was Jin. Not even Namjoon with his intellect could win against Jin’s competitive and argumentative personality.
“When I was walking back home, I saw him barely wearing anything when he went out yesterday with Yoongi-hyung,” Jimin recalled as Jin turned to the younger boy with a disdainful look on his face.
“Why on Earth were you out with Yoongi? Weren’t you meeting with your girlfriend yesterday?” Jin asked.
“Yoongi-hyung was also there,” Jungkook supplied as the others nodded. “And she’s not my girlfriend!”
This elicited snickers from the other boys in the room.
“Weren’t you wearing your winter jacket when you left yesterday?” Jin asked in realization, remembering that he had seen Yoongi and Jungkook leave together. He was pretty sure that Jungkook was wearing a white winter jacket when he left. Otherwise, he would’ve scolded Jungkook and insisted that he wore one before going out.
Jungkook scratched his head, trying to figure out a way for them not to tease him again, but they were just staring at him, waiting for an answer. Jungkook sighed.
“She felt cold and so, I lent her my jacket.”
Jin whistled in awe. “What. A. Guy. This. Guy!” He whistled again for more effect.
Jungkook simply gave a smug grin, feeling proud of what he did, even if it ended up with him getting sick.
“I hope you’re not missing any tests, though,” Jimin prayed as Jungkook chuckled, nodding.
“Professor changed the date of examination last night. Apparently, he forgot to make questions for the exam, and so, he’ll have to reschedule the exam and make the questions.” Jungkook grinned, remembering the email that the professor had sent to the whole class.
“Ugh! You’re so lucky,” Jimin grumbled, remembering that he still had to go to class, despite the cold weather. “Aish! I’ll get out of your hair now, but I’ll do you a favor, don’t worry!” Jimin have a very suspicious wink, leaving behind a puzzled Jungkook.
It wasn’t often that Jungkook got sick. In fact, the last time he got sick was almost half a decade ago. He had stayed up for twenty-four hours playing Overwatch, and because he was sleepy, he accidentally slipped into the pool on a winter day. Obviously, he had cough and colds the following day, much to the surprise of his mother. But, it turned out to be okay because his mother made him seaweed soup.
He felt a bit drowsy, probably due to the medicine that Jin forcefully shoved down his throat earlier. He didn’t have the energy to fight off sleep as he immediately drifted off to dreamland.
It took four hours before he could wake up from his sleep. In his dream, he had dreamt of being home in Busan. Oddly enough, he was sick and he was stuck in bed with a flu, very much like reality. But in his dream, his mother was there tending to him, wiping his forehead and arms with water to fight off the building heat in his body. Being the youngest in the family and even in the band, he was always spoiled rotten and so, he asked his mom to cook him his favorite seaweed soup. Surprisingly, his mom had scratched her head, as if she was unsure on how to cook seaweed soup, despite the fact that she always cooked seaweed soup on birthdays and whenever he would ask her to.
He sighed to himself, knowing that his dream was just going to be a dream because his mother was all the way down in Busan, while he was sleeping on his bed in his band’s shared house in Seoul.
However, he smelled something familiar. It was the smell of boiling seaweed soup.
His eyes widened as he turned to his bedside table and realized that there was a basin of water and a wet towel. Did his band mates arrive early already? Didn’t they say that they were going to be home a bit late because they had exams or prior appointments already?
He stood up and went down to the kitchen only to find you, wearing Jin’s pink apron, while stirring the seaweed soup.
“Yes! It’s boiling already! Thank you so much, Ma’am!” You were smiling, while talking to someone over the phone. He simply stood at the doorway of the kitchen, a bit surprised that you were there.
“Alright. I’ll just wait for this to simmer for five minutes and then, I’ll bring this up to Jungkook in a while. Thank you so much for answering my call. It might’ve seemed so weird, but Jimin told me that it might be best if I called you up to ask about the seaweed soup recipe that Jungkook ate when he was sick,” you chuckled as Jungkook realized who you were actually talking to over the phone. It was his mother!
“Oh my gosh! No! I’m not Jungkook’s girlfriend. I’m one of his best friends in college!” You exclaimed as Jungkook felt a pang of pain on his chest. He scratched his head as he suddenly grabbed the phone from your hand, making you turn around and gasp, not realizing that he was there. You didn’t even hear him go down the staircase.
“Hi, mom. Thanks for helping her out,” he greeted his mother as he heard his mother gasp over the phone.
“Oh my, you’re up already? Are you feeling better now?” His mother asked, her voice laced with worry.
“Ah, yes, I’m somewhat okay already. I don’t feel groggy anymore and I guess I just needed to rest. Maybe, it was the stress due to finals week,” he said over the phone. You were about to protest over what he said, but he shook his head to what you were about to say. You were obviously going to tell his mother that he wasn’t exactly okay yet, and that it was even your fault why he got sick, but he figured that his mom didn’t need to know both things.
“Oh dear. You should take time to rest. And also try to rest a week before you start practicing for your band’s year-end performances, okay?” His mom reminded him. It was fortunate that the phone wasn’t on speaker mode, otherwise, he would’ve had to explain to you what his mother meant by ‘band’s year-end performances’, which he pretty much wanted to avoid.
“Yup. I will, Mom. Good-bye!”
“Bye, Jungkook! Send my regards to your bandmates, okay?”
“Alright. See you, Mom.” He ended the call as he handed back your phone. You were still waiting for five minutes on your wristwatch as he laughed at your particularity with following his mom’s instructions.
“What? Stop judging me,” you murmured as he shook his head, taking a seat by the table.
“I wasn’t judging you. I’m just surprised that you were cooking. I never thought that you were the type who cooked.”
“Well, someone was muttering in their sleep that they ‘wanted seaweed soup, mom. Puh-lease’,” you chuckled, much to his embarrassment as he realized that his ‘dream’ wasn’t really just a dream, and that he had called you his mom in the midst of his feverish haze.
“You didn’t really have to cook me seaweed soup, you know,”
You turned off the stove and transferred the contents of the pot to a bowl.
“Try it,” you grinned as you placed the bowl in front of him. He took a spoonful of the soup and sipped it.
Its saltiness was just enough. The flavor hit off the right places, just like how Jungkook always wanted it. It reminded him of Busan and its wonderful skyline, the beach that was a few minutes away from his home and which he usually passed by whenever he came from school back in his elementary years, the very years when he would go run straight to his mom for a hug as soon as he arrived home.
In short, it tasted like home.
He blushed, realizing what his thoughts seemed to imply as you waited for his review, making him stammer for a response. “N-Not bad,” was all he could say.
You chuckled. “That’ll do since it’s my first time to cook seaweed soup.”
He blushed, realizing that you would go that far for him. You even called up his mother just to get how he wanted his seaweed soup, even if you could’ve just ordered takeout or look for some recipe online. He felt his heart warm up at the thought that maybe, he was someone special to you.
“Are you finished already? Or do you want some more? Wait, let me fill your bowl again.” You took his empty bowl to fill it up again as he stood up from his seat and hugged you from behind, his chin easily resting on the top of your head.
“Thank you so much,” he sincerely said, hugging you tightly. He saw you pause for a moment, as if you were surprised by his sudden action. But, his mind must have played some tricks because you chuckled as if it were nothing and as if it were just a mere friendly hug.
“What are you saying? I’d do this for anyone,” you casually responded, lightly slapping his arm as you broke away from his grasp. “Come on, drink some more of this soup. Then, I’ll take my leave so you can rest afterwards, okay?” You filled out the bowl before placing it on his previous spot on the table.
He just nodded, wondering if it was just him that felt like things suddenly became awkward or if it was something else. Maybe, he was just overthinking it. He shook his head to rid of his thoughts and resumed back to his spot to finish his second bowl of soup. You, on the other hand, were quiet because you were busy checking through your phone, probably to check some of your notifications or messages.
“I’m through,” he announced as you looked up from your phone, a bit fidgety but he figured that it might just be the stress from your exams.
“Oh, that’s good to hear. Just leave the bowl on the table and I’ll take it from here. Go up to your room now and rest well, okay?” You said, leaving him no room to disagree. He nodded in response as he stood up from his chair.
“Bye. Thank you so much,” he said once again. He wanted to give you a hug again, but your response made it weird for him to lunge at you for a hug.
“Gotchu, bro!” You grinned, raising up your two thumbs to his direction. It seemed a bit forced, but he didn’t have the energy to point that out anymore and maybe, he really was just imagining things. He went back to his room to sleep, while you were left in the kitchen to figure things out, especially when it wasn’t really just his imagination, after all.
You broke into a blushing fit as soon as the coast was clear. A few minutes ago, you felt like you couldn’t breathe when he had suddenly hugged you from the back, making you smell him (at least, now you can confirm that he didn’t smell like cologne because it was his natural smell.) But, god, it was just too much from the moment that he gave you a back hug to the moment that he gave such a sincere smile, in contrast to his usual bunny smile. A sick Jungkook was just too out of this world and he was just too dangerous. A sick Jungkook should be kept out of public, unless you would want people to suddenly kidnap a 21-year-old college student. And maybe, that’s why Jungkook never got sick so easily. It was for the sake of the common good.
Or maybe, it was just your hormones and you might just actually need a date. You sighed, scratching your head, wondering if you should ask your other friends to just set you up with someone else or not.
Yup, a blind date, it is.
A/N: SURPRISE! IM BACK! ISH. I was able to write a few chapters for band!jk! And I’ll be uploading the second to the last (gasp!) chapter next week! But yay im finally back! miss you everyone!

the beauty within the beast 3: “min yoongi”
Tumblr media
→ summary: “every single day since he turned 18, he wakes up in a universe where his body changes into someone else. But ever since he met you, it occurred less frequently. And he just hopes he’d stop changing if he stays together with you more and more each day.”   → au: “the beauty within” and “the beauty and the beast” → rating: T → pairing: ot7 | reader  → chapters: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | → word count: 2.9k
It’s been a week since he changed into someone else, but he still frequented the coffee shop, staring at you from afar. He could see how you still went about the day, doing your job properly, but he could see the dark rims beneath your eyes from lack of sleep.
It must have been the research you had to do for your thesis paper, the countless hours you spent on the laboratory to replicate the positive results you saw the last time when you had missed that date with him.
Or maybe, if he was permitted to assume, because he broke up with you so suddenly. He knew he had to break up with you since there was no chance of him ever going back to being ‘Kim Seokjin’. That never happened in the past. And it certainly was not going to happen in the future. Curse his luck that his condition just had to screw everything up when he thought things were getting better.
Reality could not just side with him this time.
Then again, it never was.

“A cup of flat white with vanilla for Min Yoongi!” You shouted from the counter as he stood up and went his way towards you. He saw you force a smile as he nodded and casually took his drink before making his way back to the table.
That was all the interaction the two of you needed since he should just watch you from afar rather than break your heart all over again. You had tried to call him so many times over the past few days, demanding why he would break up with you with a text message that’s merely composed of four words: “Good bye. I’m sorry.”
But, what else could he tell you, anyway?
“What a douchebag move, Jin- I meant, Yoongi,” Jackson told him when Yoongi had told Jackson of how he parted ways with you with a single text message.
Yoongi nodded, unable to argue back. He couldn’t find the words to retort back, and so, a mere nod had to suffice. They were talking via FaceTime since Jackson wanted to see his new face yet again.
“… though I know you had no choice. Of course, if you told her the reason, she’d probably just scream ‘foul’ and not believe you since you obviously look different. Your height is smaller now and your voice sounds different. She’d probably even slap you for making up such an obvious ‘lie’,” Jackson played out a possible scenario as Yoongi nodded yet again.
To be honest, he did contemplate whether he should tell you or not. He didn’t know how to start telling you about the condition that he had. The changing part was also problematic enough. There was the additional problem with the number of petals left on the rose tattoo on his chest. After transforming into Yoongi, he realized that another petal from the rose tattoo disappeared. He hypothesizes that the rose tattoos corresponded to the number of times he had left before something would happen.
But, what was going to happen?
He decided to stop thinking about the problem as he took a sip from coffee. He wasn’t staring at you this time because he didn’t want to be seen as some creeper who was stalking you. The occasional glances would have to do for now. To be fair, he knew you already; it was just that you didn’t know him in this identity.
You directed a smile to your customers since you were the person who was manning the front, but your smile never reached the corner of your eyes like it always used to. You probably still missed Kim Seokjin.
But he was gone now and he could never be brought back.
Yoongi left the coffee shop as he decided to call it a day. He even stopped visiting the grocery already and eating the same things he ate. Chicken breasts? Yuck.
He already stopped caring about transforming. He did the same routine he did before he transformed into Seokjin. He did everything just to ensure that he wouldn’t change and that he’d be with you forever.
Yet, he still changed.
So, why should it still matter anyway?
Besides, you were out of his life anyway. What was the use of not transforming now?
The following day, he knew he wasn’t going to see you around since it was your day off. He somewhat sighed in relief as he took out his laptop and started to work on his music. He was about to start working when he saw you entering the coffee shop — your hair tied up on a messy bun, and on your hands were two thick books and your ol’ trusty laptop that’s been with you since you were still in college.
You walked towards his direction as you directed a smile, asking, “Do you mind if I share a table with you?”
He turned around and realized that the coffee shop was filled with college students who were trying to cram and study at the same time. “I don’t really have a choice, do I?” He replied as you shrugged whatever he said and took the seat across his. You placed down your books and started reading one of them, while simultaneously typing heavily on your laptop.
He was staring at you, all tired and haggard, just like any student who was in graduate school. He hoped that that was the sole reason why you looked more exhausted than usual.
However, when your phone suddenly rang, you had immediately scrambled for it, answering it without even checking the caller ID.
“Oh, hey, Mom,” you sounded disappointed as you answered the phone. You decided to go outside the coffee shop to continue talking to your mom as he silently understood that he had to watch over your things because that was the unspoken rule if you shared a table with someone — once the other party had to leave the table for a while, you had to watch over their things for them. You returned after a while, heaving a sigh, while he stared at you.
“You don’t sound too ecstatic to talk to your mom,” he observed as you stared at him, a bit surprised that he noticed. Of course, he would notice. He always noticed everything about you.
“Oh, well, I just didn’t think she would call,” you replied nonchalantly as you started to work back on your thesis paper.
“Were you expecting someone else’s call?” He asked, wondering for a bit if you were still thinking about him — as Jin.
You paused typing on your laptop for a while, but you continued typing as if you didn’t hear him. He kept silent, knowing better than to push further.
“… Maybe, I am.”
He turned up from his laptop and stared at you, surprised that you were still thinking of him even after what he did to you. Were you expecting a phone call or an apology?
“Maybe, you shouldn’t anymore. He was probably an asshole.”
You stopped typing once again, but continued after a few seconds.
“Yup, maybe he was,” you responded.
He nodded. “You should try moving on from him. He’s not worth your time.”
That was the least he could do. Be the stranger who would tell you that you were better off without him. Convince you that you were far greater than that asshole who could only afford to break up and leave you with one single text message that was composed of four words.
“You know,” you said as he leaned nearer to you, assuming that you were going to tell him something important, “I think you should mind your own business.”
You closed your laptop and then, carried your belongings before storming outside the coffeeshop.
Okay, so you were obviously pissed because he was being a meddlesome stranger.
He scratched his head, realizing that he screwed up even without meaning to screw up again. Well, once again, this was the universe’s way of telling him that you were better off without him.
The next day, however, you had showed up in front of his table in your barista uniform, giving him a free cup of flat white with vanilla.
“What’s this? I haven’t ordered yet,” Yoongi said as you smiled sheepishly.
“I knew you were right, to be honest, but it was immature of me to have told you off when you were trying to be nice. You even watched over my stuff when I had to answer my mom’s call,” you apologized as he shook his head.
“Nah, I was being a meddlesome douchebag about your situation, too,” he acknowledged the mistake on his side.
You chuckled and nodded, agreeing with him. “Well, I’m going to go back to my part-time job. I’m off in half an hour. By then, can I share this table with you?” You asked him as he raised an eyebrow. You raised your shoulders and motioned to the full coffee shop, filled with cramming college students.
He laughed and nodded, saying, “I don’t really have a choice, do I?”
The two of you fell into the same pattern in the next few days as you were still menacing about your first draft for your thesis paper, while he was still trying to work on the melodies and jingles for work.
“So, what are you working on? You don’t seem like a struggling senior in university or in grad school,” you asked him as he turned his laptop to your direction to show you what he was working on.
“This is what I do for a living. I make jingles and tunes for commercials on the television,” he explained sheepishly, scratching his head. He never had the chance to tell you before what he did for a living. So, it was weird that he was telling you this.
“That’s cool. I’m so bad with anything music-related, but it’s amazing how you could just easily come up with tunes,” you praised him as he laughed.
“I’m pretty sure you can sing a bit.”
“I sing in the shower. Does that count?” You asked as he laughed again, shaking his head.
Ah, what was he going to do with you? Every single thing you did made him bound to fall in love with you. It was as if the universe was telling him that regardless of whoever he was going to end up pretending as, he would still end up falling with you — always deeper than his previous identity did.
“It’s so weird how you became a regular in this shop now. I don’t think I’ve ever noticed you before,” you changed the topic, noticing that he was here everyday.
Yoongi panicked internally, wondering what he was going to tell you. “I’m not allowed to?” He asked, trying to find an answer — just any answer to your question.
“Okay, fine, be a snarky, little bitch,” you muttered, rolling your eyes.
“I’m pretty sure I’m taller than you,” he teased as you frowned, feeling sensitive about your height, even if you were never concerned with your height in the past until he pointed it out.
Besides, he wasn’t that tall compared to you.
“I know someone taller than you,” you blurted out as he raised an eyebrow. Your expression changed in an instant as it didn’t take much for him to realize that you were referring to the other him.
“You should stop thinking about him, you know. You’re better off without him. And you’ll always be better than some sleazy, smooth bastard who ran away from you and broke up with you with a text message,” he tried comforting you, but you turned up to him, surprised with what he said.
“Wait, how’d you know about that? I never told you about him.”
Oh shit.
“I-I-”
RING RING RING
He was cut off when your phone started to ring as you sighed and decided to take the phone call, knowing that your mother might have something important to tell you. You went outside for a bit, while Yoongi was looking at your stuff, complying with the unsaid promise to watch over your things when you had to leave the table for a bit.
He sighed in relief as he tried to look for an excuse to tell you. Have you told Suran about how Jin left you? Should he say then that he heard it from Suran, then? He scratched his head as he tried to scramble for an excuse. However, you had returned to your table, a sullen expression on your face.
“Is something wrong?” He asked you as tears started to fall down your face.
“M-My Mom, s-she was admitted to the emergency room a while ago. S-Something happened to her. What should I do, Yoongi? What should I do?” You continued to cry as he steadied you back on your chair before he grabbed your stuff and shoved them inside your bag. He did the same to his as he called your name, hoping to bring you back to your senses.
“Come on, let’s go to where your mom was hospitalized, okay?” He said as you nodded.
The two of you left the coffee shop, immediately finding a cab to take you to the hospital where your mom was hospitalized. He held you in his arms, reassuring you that your mom was going to be okay and that everything was going to turn out well in the end. By the time you had reached the hospital, you had already calmed down and your tears had already stopped streaming down your face. In fact, your siblings were also there, since they were the ones who brought your mom to the hospital. They explained to you what happened as you sighed in relief before deciding to walk back to Yoongi who was standing on the side.
“They said that she fainted because of anemia and the heat. But, my Mom’s stable now. She might have to stay in the hospital for a few days, but she’ll be okay.”
“See,” he smiled, “I told you that she was gonna be okay. Don’t cry anymore. You won’t be able to write your paper properly if your eyes are gonna get so swollen,” he reminded you as you lightly slapped his arm.
“Thank you,” you said earnestly, smiling back at him.
“And for that, I’ll get a free cup of flat white with vanilla syrup.” He teased you a bit before shaking his head. “I’m just kidding.”
“No, I’ll definitely buy you one. I owe you that, at least,” you insisted as he sighed and nodded.
“Alright. I’ll take up that offer. Anyways, I’ll go ahead and I hope I’ll see you tomorrow?” He asked as you scratched your head.
“I might not see you tomorrow. I’ll probably watch over my mom since my older siblings have families to watch over and full-time jobs, too.”
He raised his two thumbs. “It’s okay. No worries. I’ll see you on another day, though. Bye.”
“Bye, Yoongi.”
It took you a week before you could return to the coffee shop.
But you were greeted back with a letter from Min Yoongi.
Hey.
I’m sorry but I don’t think I’ll be able to take that offer of free coffee from you. My personal circumstances make me have to travel a lot and that’s why I have to leave all of a sudden. I couldn’t go and see you off in the hospital because I didn’t want you to concentrate on someone else aside from your mother and your thesis paper. I wish you the best. I know you’ll do great. You always will and always are.
Yoongi
“When did this letter come?” You had asked the new barista who came in. The coffee shop had to hire another part-timer as Suran had already gone into maternity leave and could not work for the next three months. You had met the new barista several times when he would visit the hospital to bring you and your family members coffee — Suran’s instructions before she left, he said.
“A few days ago, I think? I’m sorry I was too pre-occupied with learning how to mix the drinks to take note of the exact date he dropped that off and I was a bit skeptical because it seemed a bit sketchy, but he insisted that I give you that envelope. Is he anyone to you?” The new part-timer asked.
You stayed silent for a moment. Was Yoongi just a mere friend? Maybe, if Jin didn’t leave you heartbroken and if the two of you spent more time together, perhaps Yoongi would have been….
“Hello?” The new barista waved his hand in front of your face, bringing you back to reality.
“A friend. He was a friend,” you replied as he nodded slowly. “And I’m sorry, but what was your name again? I’m sorry if I forgot your name. My life’s been in shambles recently, so I guess that’s that to blame,” you laughed nervously as his eyes widened, a worried expression on his face as if he had known you for such a long time already.
“Are you okay? Do you want to talk about it? My friends tell me I’m a good listener.”
You smiled, nodding. “I’ll be fine, but thanks for the offer.”
“And oh, you can call me ‘Hobi’, but my complete name’s Jung Hoseok.”

What's the most well-written fanfic you've ever read? (angst)
Anon, don’t do this to me. There’s too much good angst fics in the world. But if I had to choose one, I’d go back to @jungblue’s future hearts. It was one of those fics that made me cry and sob down to the core bc it was just so sad. And there’s @ellieljade’s Mr. Min. It’s full of beautiful smut but it’s devastatingly beautiful too.

the beauty within the beast 2: “kim seokjin”
Tumblr media
→ summary: “every single day since he turned 18, he wakes up in a universe where his body changes into someone else. But ever since he met you, it occurred less frequently. And he just hopes he’d stop changing if he stays together with you more and more each day.”   → au: “the beauty within” and “the beauty and the beast” → rating: T → pairing: ot7 | reader → chapters: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | → word count: 3.6k
He screams as he stares at his reflection on the mirror. It was an entirely new face, he frowned as he checked himself out. He is relieved, however, that he turned out to be handsome. Really handsome.
In fact, he knows that if he were to go outside, even without taking a shower, he would still look an infinite times more handsome than any guy on the streets.
However, he feels dismayed that he had changed appearances today. He thought he was finally cured, but he wasn’t. He scratched his head, trying to figure out how he didn’t change the previous day. Could he be actually getting better? Did he do something else from what he usually did? He pretty much did what he usually did normally: Go to the coffee shop, drink coffee, do groceries, cook food at home, write songs, and sleep.
There was nothing much unusual from what he did two days ago compared to his usual daily routine.

The beauty within the beast is so intriguing!! It’s cute how you added Jackson in the story and I’m so curious to see what namjoon’s rose tattoo is all about 👀
Awww thank you! Yup, I figured that since Jackson was close to Namjoon in real life, he would’ve been a funny addition to the series. He also play a significant role in the fic for always helping out the main character (in the latest chapter, it’s jin) during times of need :) I hope you’ll enjoy the second chapter! :)
