I'm sorry. ------ Human!Sam's POV Jack was covering his neck a lot recently. He was acting strange, like he was paranoid or something. He wouldn't answer any of the messages from his friends, and would jump at every little sound in the room. His behavior was starting to scare me, and he knew. "Sam! Where are you? I think we may need to talk." Jack's voice carried through the small house, coming closer and closer every second. I pressed my small body against the wall even further, hoping the table above me hid me well. My breathing was shallow and quick, matching my thumping heart. A pair of shoes walked by, making a clicking noise every time they hit the wooden floor. They passed by the small table, and continued down the hallway away from me. I let out a small breath I had been holding, my body relaxing a bit. "There you are." I whipped my head up to see Jack crouched next to the table, smiling at me. "Come on out Sam, I won't hurt you. I just want to talk to you." I shook my head furiously, backing up even more into the wall. Anything just to get away from him. "Please Sam....please come out. Can you do it for me?..." His tone sounded desperate, and I could see the hurt in his eyes. He seemed normal now, like everything over the past few weeks hadn't happened. Taking in a breath of courage, I crawled out from underneath the table and threw my arms around him. Jack chuckled as I buried my face into his shoulder, soaking his shirt with tears. He ruffled my long green hair, and I stepped back to look at him. Jack's smile was kind, and it caused me to smile too. His happiness was always contagious. "It's okay now Sam..... Because I'm here." The last thing I heard was distorted cackling as I felt the cool metal of a knife pierce my being. And I watched, the horrid face of that monster glitch as I closed my eyes, and welcomed the numb darkness.

Just “Roommates” - Prologue

There used to be six of us. Now I’m alone. It happened only a little while ago, when I watched the last of us die in my bloodied hands. My goal had finally been fulfilled, my entire existence being to kill them all. Yet now I only feel more empty inside.

The pitter-patter of rain pounding against the roof shook me to my senses. My body stood from the wall I was leaning against, the blood pooled around me sloshing at my feet. Five other bodies laid in the room, all limp and lying in their own blood. They each had their own defining features; a cat mask, a stethoscope, a blue superhero mask, a baseball cap, and finally Jack. All he had was the smile on his face that was alway filled with joy. Disgusting.

The door creaked open, and a man in a pristine looking black tux entered. He avoided the blood that covered the floor, obviously not wanting to ruin his shoes. After scanning the room, his eyes fell onto my standing figure.

“About time you got up. You’ve been sitting there for so long, I almost thought you were dead as well.” His voice was as smooth and deep as it usually was, making me want to gag.

“What do you want?” I asked him, before stopping in my tracks. I sounded different than usual, my high pitched and scratchy voice now a bit lower and more tolerable. My eyes must’ve been filled with shock, as my ‘frenemy’ spoke.

“Exactly as I thought…” Dark hummed as he approached my still body. His gentle hand grasped by chin as he brought himself closer to me, his face inches away. “Without the others to weigh you down, you have more control over yourself. Your voice has already shifted to a more ‘human’ tone. And you seem to not be glitching as much.”

I glared bullets at him, not wanting to believe it. But it was true. My voice sounded almost the exact same as Jack’s. “What does that have to do with anything?”

“It means you’ve gained more power.” Dark answered as he circled me, giving me a smirk. “So I would like to ask of you a favor.”

“What are you planning Dark?” I questioned, watching the mischievous man before me. He chuckled, then stopped in front of me, grabbing ahold of my shirt. His dark eyes pierced into mine, causing my breath to hitch. Dark leaned towards me, putting his lips next to my ear.

“You’re going to run a little errand for me.”
