Gi-hun could have murdered Oh Il-Nam out of rage (it would have been 100% justified) but instead saw how he died in denial about the goodness of people.

Il-Nam, the man who saw how Ali saved Gi-Hun, a complete stranger, from dying.

The man who got integrated into a group whom he added nothing of value, yet they looked after him to ensure his safety.

He saw how Sang-Woo, who didn't want to risk dying in the Tug-of-War, just asked for people to look for strong men who would compensate Il-Nam's weakness, instead of kicking him out.

He saw how Sae-Byeok, someone who didn't trust anyone, gave up her water just to take care of him.

He saw how Ali, Gi-Hun and Sang-Woo gave away hours of rest just to ensure the safety of others. People they didn't know nor liked necessarily.

Yet he dared to imply that there is no hope in humanity. And that somehow, they all deserved to die.

Mostly the maybe gay, but definitely the problem part

cho sangwoo is really a character of all time. he has a superiority and and inferiority complex. he might be gay who knows but he is definitely single because he is always the problem (he was definitely in love with his best friend but he also has a superiority complex). he is a burnt out gifted kid. he tries to commit suicide at every minor problem. he is a mamas boy. he doesnt have any long lasting friends because he has pushed them away for the above reasons. he peaked to fast and now he is shit. money blinds way too many times. he is smart till when it requires because then he becomes extremely dumb and useless. the man has died atleast twice because of this. am i projecting? maybe i am. way too relatable for all the bad reasons. hes dead and was in life a perennial asshole. he has also suffered way too much. he has killed people but he also committed suicide so his friend may become a billionaire. he hates most people and he also hates himself. truly a solid character of all time. i am glad he is dead and he deserves to be bullied but i also mourn him and read way too many fix it fics and mcds with him in it.

Thanos doesn't like animals, but animals love him

Nam-gyu LOVES animals, but they do not like him

Thanos and Nam-gyu come out of a 24/7 corner store, sloshed as hell at 2 am, and spot a stray cat.

Nam-gyu tries to give it some of their food, but it's like absolutely not, you loud, loud boy. Nam-gyu gets all sad.

Thanos rolls his eyes and grabs the pieces of food, slowly squating down and letting the cat take the food.

The second it starts eating, Nam-gyu gets too excited, and the cat darts away again. Thanos slaps him in the chest, telling him to calm down. When they walk away, the cat returns, and Nam-gyu is beaming while trying not to be too loud and excited.

Imagining Gi-hun and Sang-woo as Gen Z😂

Gi-hun definitely uses slang and is constantly spamming Sang-woo with TikTok’s

When Sang-woo VERY. RARELY. picks up a word/phrase or simply heart reacts to a video, Gi-hun is very happy.

If they’re cuddling before bed, Sang-woo will watch Gi-hun’s fyp with him.

If ANYTHING even a little suggestive comes up on his fyp, Gi-hun will start poking at Sang-woo, making him flustered

I can imagine them both finding a video funny and just giggling and losing it while trying not to wake whoever’s mother

Some things you could talk about if you did this:

How Sang-woo and Jung-bae would do in the different games. How would the Six Leg Pentathlon work out with Sang-woo? What number would Jung-bae pick in Glass Bridge?

Jung-bae would 100% team up with Gi-hun and I think Ali would team up with the old man, but we can do the opposite for plot sake if necessary

Sang-woo 100% debates asking Thanos for some drugs because hey he might die

Would Sang-woo tell Gi-hun about the neck snapping? Or would he think yeah that happens at least I'm alive

Honest to God wouldn't be surprised if In-ho broke Sang-woo's neck instead and said he lost track of him.

I need someone better at words than I who can talk about how drastically different Squid Game would be if Jung-bae was in Season One and Sang-woo was in Season Two

But yes, Gi-hun is talking to everyone and dancing (respectfully) with a crowd of women around him. A woman or three approach Sang-woo, but Mr. He-has-high-standards (gay) quickly rejects all of them.

Unrelated: Gi-hun is the type to win over everyone's mom with his charm and humor. Sang-woo wins over everyone's mom with his manners and intelligence.

Gi-hun dragging Sang-woo to a Halloween party and making him wear a matching costume

As much as I would love to see Gi-hun in a slutty nurse costume while Sang-woo wears a doctor costume, I think Gi-hun would either make them dress like each other or maybe cops idk. Something silly.

Sang-woo's unsocial ass is having an internal panic attack while Gi-hun is already at the keg stand.

I think Gi-hun would keep going to Sang-woo and making sure he was okay in between his shenanigans. Sang-woo would give him a tight-lipped smile and nod.

I'm not saying Sang-woo doesn't have any fun. I think after a few or more drinks he could be convinced to team up with Gi-hun for a game of beer pong.

Gi-hun could go all night, but he knew Sang-woo had a time limit on these sorts of things. On the way home, Gi-hun hums a song, practically skipping with energy. Sang-woo is exhausted. Gi-hun is yapping away, telling Sang-woo how much he loves his company and how cute he is in his costume. It makes Sang-woo blush HARD.
