"Who's advertised on the moon before?" a question asked by one of the team at Cherryduck Productions, and now WE can claim to be the first.
Cherryduck's day to day work is production, but since the launch of their ad agency Cleverducks, this is one of the more unusual projects that they've undertaken.
The cheese, funnily entitled MoonCheeze set the team the task of becoming a famous cheese brand in a very short space of time on a limited budget.
The Cleverducks creatives decided that with a name like Mooncheeze, they had to be advertising on the moon, it was then over to Cherryduck to make it happen.
They will be officially launching their new cheese later on this year.

‘Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrells’ Nick Moran has just directed the Cherryduck Natox action film.
Cleverducks our new creative agency was asked to come up with some shoot ideas to promote new brand Natox. The script was approved and the shoot went ahead at a disused cement works in Bedfordshire.
Along with Director Nick Moran, a weapons consultant and explosives experts were bought in to help with the firearms scenes and detonations.
Cherryduck bought in their Canon C500 to shoot in cinematic 4K along with a Phantom HD slow-motion crew to capture the explosions and crashing vehicles. There was also the Canon C300 for the B camera and various GoPro Hero 3 cameras that were planted in key locations. During the 2 day shoot.

Designer label Louis Vuitton recently teamed up with artist Yayoi Kusama to launch a beautiful new capsule collection of polka dots and vibrant colours.
We were excited to be asked to film the collection's Pop Up Store and Window Displays at Selfridges. We shot timelapse and behind-the-scenes footage over 5 nights in collaboration with the talented photographer Melvyn Vincent.
Our films can now be seen on the Selfridges website and the Louis Vuitton YouTube channel as well as fashion blogs everywhere!
Click the picture above to view the link to the main edit of the timelapse films and search the Louis Vuitton YouTube channel to view our other behind-the-scenes films.

We work with High Street giant Miss Selfridge each season to produce behind-the-scenes videos of their latest collection photo shoots. They're great to work with as they're always up for putting a twist on their behind-the-scenes videos to make them feel current and edgey. We're particularly fond of the A/W 2012 videos which have a bit of a darker vibe.

Gatwick - The PRM Journey
Gatwick airport pride themselves on their excellent PRM service (people with reduced mobility). Cherryduck was asked to create a film to show the ways in which they help individuals with reduced mobility, from arriving at the airport through to security, getting on the plane as well as landing at Gatwick and returning home.
We worked with actors agency VisABLE who provided us with the lovely Anna and Sanjay who did a great job bringing the film to life. - www.gatwickairport.com/prm/

Duo Boots - the full video solution
We had the pleasure of working with the lovely ladies (and gents!) at Duo Boots recently, providing them with a complete package of videos for the relaunch of their website. Over 80 product videos all shot at Tower Bridge Studios and 7 presenter led Style and Measurements videos shot in their beautiful Covent Garden store.
With a project such as this it is so important to keep all of the videos visual in line with the website and we are really pleased with the results - www.duoboots.com

SWEATY BETTY - Studio Catwalk Shoot
It was an early start for the team at Tower Bridge Studios! The morning was dedicated to photography stills for the sportswear giant, and in the afternoon Cherryduck Productions took over to film Sweaty Betty's collection catwalk.
We used a simple setup, making the most of the white infinity cove and shoot space, and arranged two cameras to capture the entire walk - one wide, and another on the jib. Thankfully Studio 5 is large enough to cope with the entire crew and more!

CALUMET FOCUS MAGAZINE - Article feature with Cherryduck and Canon.
We recently collaborated with Calumet Photographic for a written piece about the Canon C300 for the company's seasonal magazine, Calumet Focus. In it we talked about our reasons for choosing the C300, and where we see it going in the future.
Calumet is one of our largest equipment suppliers and provided us with our C300s.

TOWER BRIDGE STUDIOS - Behind The Scenes.
A large chunk of our work is based around digital video production, from the birth of an idea to the final output to our clients. However, an equally large and important aspect of our company is our studios.
Based a stone-throw away from London's iconic Tower Bridge, the picturesque St. Katherine Docks, and just next door to the cobbled streets of Wapping; Tower Bridge Studios has been the home base for all sorts of photo and video shoots!
We have hosted iconic photographers and videographers such as Rankin, Terry O'Neil, Philip Bloom and David Montgomery. We've shot with celebrated actors, musicians, and athletes. Worked with a wrack of rabbits, a chattering of chicks, and a kennel of dogs. We've broadcasted live webinars, transformed the studios into old-school style gym locker rooms, and held press conferences.
Our team has learned to expect the unexpected, and no-one loves a challenge more than we do!
So take a look at our behind the scenes photos above, and check out the studios website!

THE ROARING 20s, GLAMOUR, AND PRINT - Behind the scenes at The Lady Magazine with actors Colin Morgan, Kate McGrath, and Ruth Bradley.
This being The Lady's first venture into joint print-and-video publication, it was essential we echo the magazine's sophistication, glamour, and heritage.
The subject matter was handed on a platter to us: a 20s-inspired shoot with the up-and-coming crème de la crème of British acting. This was a perfect opportunity to really let our camera and editing skills fly.
As ever, the Canon C300 was used for filming, and Magic Bullet Looks 2 was used for colour grading to create a delightfully subtle vintage look. Film-like curves were applied for strong and defined contrast throughout, whilst the Colour Contrast tool was used to create a muted, two-tone look. A touch of bleach bypassing was applied for the finish.
This has become an immensely popular video, and we are extremely proud of it! The Lady Magazine's Vimeo account has already had 10,000 hits on this short - and still counting...

We teamed up with the Lynx team for the second time, following the success of our partnership during the Lynx Attract campaign shoot, to celebrate St. Patrick's Day 2012 in true Irish fashion with the ever-lovely Georgia Salpa.
The edit was filmed at London's exclusive nightclub, Hed Kandi, using a Canon C300 and a range of lenses.

A lot of people are quite unsure about the utility of Google+ but we think it's worth a try, if anything, for its incredible ease of use. We can upload all sorts of media and, as we have several contacts associated with our Google account already, the legwork is practically done for us!
If you're a fellow Google Plusee, add us to your circles - we'd love to hear from you!

CANON C300, FISHEYE LENS, AND GLIDETRACK SLIDER - Defying Gravity for New Look.
We were invited along to New Look's 9 - 15 clothing range modelling competition with Shout magazine.
Not usually the type to miss a beat, we grabbed this opportunity to bring along our trusty (understatement of the century) C300; our newest addition to the family, the Glidetrack GT Hybrid Slider; and a handful of lenses- notably, our Fisheye.
Upon arrival at the studios we set up the camera for a timelapse of the set-up whilst we scouted out the rest of the area to see what other shooting angles we could find. Our slider is about 2m long - a blessing and a curse - which means we can rig it up in all sorts of weird and wonderful ways. We found a way to hang it out of a window and slide the camera into the studio (as the photo above), hook it between two crossbeams to give a wide aerial view... You get the idea. It is a great piece of equipment and a perfect complement to our cameras, certainly something we'll love to bring out again on shoots.
If you want to have a look at more of our C300 footage, you can click here or here.
Don't forget to check out the rest of our blog too!

DOROTHY PERKINS C300 SHOOT - 'Glam Traveller' edit.
Our previous post talked about our first official use of our Canon C300 camera on location, and we can finally show you our published edit!
We graded the video using Red Giant's incredibly fast and intuitive 'Magic Bullet' plug-in for Final Cut Pro, which yields some really brilliant results for our edits.
If you're interested in a full review of the C300 with a professional panel of film and photography experts, have a look here.
