I'm a 20 year old studying for an art degree in stupid country that doesn't even see me as a citizen. I bet if I get anywhere they won't call me their artist, but an artist from the country I was born in.

WHO GIVES A FUCK WHERE I WAS BORN? IVE BEEN A CITIZEN HERE FOR MY ENTIRE LIFE AND MY DAD WAS BORN HERE.

Terrible time to be alive.

I got a lower grade bc my professor decided to question my "origins" instead of letting me do my oral exam. I WAS THE LAST ONE AND WE HAD PLENTY OF TIME.

I wanted to do illustration and now I'm stuck doing printmaking.

Well it's better than graphic design at least. Almost sold my soul to the worst job ever that everyone thinks they can do.

But I'm now learning the basics of drawing and it's kind of demeaning as an artist. At least my professors think I draw well, just not well enough.

Might take the "I say whatever I want" approach instead of trying to be performative. Really embrace absurdity and just post whatever.

What that whatever is going to be? Idk bc I never draw for myself anymore. Its either I fail my classes for stupid fandom drawings or I get medicated for ADHD. I don't even know if I have it, I just know I'm fucked in the head and can't focus for shit.

This post being a great example of that.
