Can you tell that I'm obsessed w/ them??

Sirius is very openly clingy. He'll actually say it out loud. He'll hang off Severus, hug him from behind and awkwardly shuffle while he's trying to do stuff, etc. Meanwhile Severus is very inwardly clingy. It took Sirius forever to understand, he thought Severus maybe didn't actually like him or love him. Severus will stare at him, ask him questions to make him stay in the room longer, etc.

Backtracking off the last one, Sirius gets clingy more often than Severus and for different reasons. Sirius gets clingy because he missed him, because he wants to spend time together, or because he's bored, and it's at least once a day. Meanwhile, Severus gets clingy whenever he's upset, had a bad day, feeling insecure, etc. He's only in a mood like that where he feels clingy once in a while.

Sirius "YOU FUCKING WHAT NOW?!? WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN?!" Black x Severus "You never asked, last week." Snape.

Severus is a spy, so obviously he can keep up a good facade, an amazing facade. I think it took a year or two, but Sirius picked up on the little changes that depicted his mood. Whenever he's anxious, his eyes dart around the room. Whenever he's mad, his lips go thin. Etc etc.

The first time his friends came over after they had become a serious relationship, he warned them not to tease, belittle, nothing regarding Severus. (Only he can do it- playfully) James said one word and he was out the door. It became a very firm rule.

Sirius bites Severus randomly, and he says nom nom while doing so. He'll show up to work with bite marks and everyone thinks he got some last night, he didn't, Sirius was just biting him.

Was watching a tiktok recently that was about how unrealistic HP couples are having so many of them marry their childhood sweetheart... And I just have to totally disagree.

I read in a psychology today article once that people, in general, marry within 50 miles of their place of birth. Now that is a lot of space, but depending on where you live the partner population pool may be quite small.

Additionally, in the HP universe we are hinted to the fact that the UK population is extremely small, and that whole not wholly involved with one another, the international community is comparatively small as well. Add to that the fact that systemic blood supremacy likely keeps many from seeking companionship in the muggle world, one could conclude that the options of a partner near in age are extremely limited.

I have my own experience with something similar, having attended a very small and conservative Christian boarding school - the partner pool was very small. We were also encouraged not to seek affection outside of our group but rather within it. Of my graduating class of 25 students well over 2/3 of them married within 6 years. Of those that did, half married or partnered with someone they had dated or known in highschool.

So... I think that whole I am not a super fan of all the couples that came out of it... Not to mention the glaring lack of queer rep (which was another thing that came out in pretty high percentages from my own experience). I think that the likelihood of those couples is quite high.

Have been skimming OoTP today to build up a better idea of the characters (again still haven't read the entire series... It is a slow going goal) and this mother trucker ... Dumbledore bashing is always a favorite tag of mine, but most fics hint that Dumbledore should have known about the neglect and abuse but that ultimately he was unaware or didn't look into it ... NO he was FULLY cognizant after Harry's first year.

He should have known earlier, but his stupidity in that regard could be forgiven out of foolish ignorance. But the fact that he let him go back after the hell that was first year? Greater good my ass!

DD might be some grand chess master and have a hope bigger than most for a bright future - but the sacrifices he was willing to make, and the burdens he was willing to put on other people make him a terrible person. I get that he had to shoulder those responsibilities. And that he had to make hard decisions... But if he had just taken Harry after first year... Adopted him himself, or allowed a staff member or even Lupin to raise him... Then literally non of the bad would have happened.

Sure Mouldy Voldy wouldn't technically be dead... But he would be a shell of a person. Sirius would likely still have gotten out at some point, anday e the story would look a whole lot different.

Anyway this is my rant ... (Dumbledore is a fantastically written character and he is a very Good character to hate). As someone who has worked with kids, the shit he admits in this chapter is enough to make me want to curse him out.

Hi all! I have an itch and have no idea where to look as the filters on AO3 are not giving me quite what I want.

Looking for a really good (preferably dark and long) fic with Harry's abuse from (well everyone really) takes center stage. Seeking that dark to light break my heart and fix it with my tears sort of read.

I suppose to give an example, something like House of Prince but with Drarry rather than Nottpot would be fantastic. Severitus or other parental figures are welcome as is Dumbledore bashing... 😍

I have already read the big ones like We were angels and the ordeal of being known. I also just recently finished Evitative and am caught up on the sequel... So I am craving it a bit. 😅

I am coming to Drarry from a bunch of Dramione dark and heavy hitters but have yet to find that same sort of vibe with Harry as the lead (House of Prince excepted). So recommendations would be extremely welcome! 😩🙇
